Hi
first time on forum. Going to have my GDL soon. Can I check what is true meaning nappy angbao? Is it a must have? The reason I ask is because it is the point where I had commit too much money for this wedding already, wish to know if it is necessary.

Hi,

It is depend from your mother.. But my mum said this is necessary. She is asking the male side to give too. She said it will be good for her. Sort of good blessing.. Just a token will do, dont need a big sum of money. Can be in hundreds..Hope this helps you.

Hihi! Finally, i know of people who are also giving nappy angmo!;-)

My mum told us to prepare $80(for good luck).

Cheers!

wah... so many ang baos to give... i am confused already...

in one of the threads, they listed a ang baos stuffs. Say, from dowry to nappy money etc... ?

now, another one.. haha..

so, what exactly are the ang baos we should be giving??

hi all, my mummy told me this is a must give as it serve as a "thank you" to her for taking care of me... and she mentioned that this ang bao dun haf to return certain amount back, she will need to take e full amount we r gving to her.

My mum asked the guy's side to prepare a nappy token for her for our GDL. Its for luck & blessings. It also depends on individual mothers.

hi girls, as money can get quite sensitive sometimes, base on experience, how much is too little for this nappy angbao?

Nappy money is also known as "suey sai bah" if I'm not wrong. Think old tradition has to give a piece of meat but to simplify things, angbao is given instead... so maybe the price of a piece of meat??? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Just a suggestion, $88 is an auspicious number to give?
