My Dream Wedding

Hi Vanessa:
Sounds like the kua i had chose.
happy.gif
I think their 3d effect is that thread colours are more vivid that it pops out.

Actually i prefer beaded kua as the effect is more "3d" and the fall of the kua is better as the beads pull it down..However, heard horror stories of some brides who kneeled on the beaded skirt while serving tea until the knees bleed. Don't want to end up with bandaged knees on wedding day, so decide not to opt for beads. :P

Pearl : Did you manage to see any gowns that catches your fancy?
happy.gif
. Hopefully nearer to yur AD, there would be more gowns to choose from, with all the feedback we have been giving them. Haha.

audrey: I did not really see any gown that really caught my attention with that big "wow" factor but I guess the gowns are already much better than what I saw in our local bridal boutiques. I am hoping that nearer to my photoshoot and actual day, there will be more gowns that catch my fancy.

Shanice,

No...I've not signed with them. Mine is BIG DAY PICTURES.

300 pics for 4R slot-in if I'm nt wrong. $1688 for PG and $1688 for VG.

Hi Pearl,

Nothing fancies me too. Their gowns have no "wow factor" yet. I think I'm either too hard to please or too fussy....hahahahaha.....

Hi Silin,

U top up 45 poses more at 80 per pose? Or do they have any package where u can upgrade?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all MDW members.

Cheers
Kenneth

Pearl..understand what you mean by the "wow " factor The gowns seems to be of those designs which are easily found at allure and off the racks in shopping malls. But you'll be surprised how much it cost to rent one gown at MDW! I had casually enquired on one red one shoulder gown that is very very simple. It just had some rhinestone/crystals around the shoulder strap and bordice. Costs $1K plus to rent it and to buy is $4K plus! Pretty shocked as frankly, that gown's design doesn't look like it's worth that price. At most, I would give it $300+. =_="

audrey: I will only rent the clothes from MDW. If I need to get more clothes, I probably have them tailor made
happy.gif

joanna: I signed up at the vivo fair too. u taking the local/hk package?

Hi Pearl: I took the rdshow $2688 hkg pkg.
but eventually upgrade to the $5688 when go to shop for follow-up.

did u take local w AD pkg??
recently went down & saw their new location for sg shoots. so nice! totally dun look like in sg!

Shanice,

The $5688 yes...inclusive of AD's rental of their gowns and tuxedos, car decor services, hand bouquet and make up etc. Except for AD PG & VG you must source or sign up with theit tie-ups...like I said is $1688 each respectively.

Hi Joanna,

Yes, absoulutely agree with you that their local shoots are very well-done, much more than other BS in SG. The PG is very impt, which I think MDW shd be proud of.

Shanice,

I signed up with BIG DAY at $2.8k. 420 4R pics, slot-on albums, good creative albums with leather, 2 parents' albums (mini size) free photo montage and video montage.

Kenneth,

Hey, how are ya? Long time no see...haha...
happy.gif

Ya, I took 45 more pics at less than $80 la...less than $70 a bit...got decimals...tyhey gave me weird figure also...1 pc about $66.7777...weird la...hahaha....

Audrey,
I was flipping through the latest issue of Her World Brides. A few MDW gowns was being featured. The prices of rental were relatively reasonable when I compared them with the others featured in the magazine but the price range to purchase them was about $5-9.8k. And they were not of the "WOW" factor like the ones they have in HK or in those sample photos. -_-"

Joanna,
Possible to share what was in your $2688 package and what is in your $5688 package?

joanna: yes..I took the local package and actual day package. Dun think i will go Hong Kong to take my pictures.

shanice: maybe you should go down and take a look? perhaps you will feel more assured then...thats what i did...haha....alyssa was nice, she told me to gather more pictures of what i like so that she can show me what they can provide then. by the way, we can do MTM now, not too sure about the cost though (at least $1k top up, I guess)

Shanice,
yup 5688 include AD, like what celine mentioned. it's abt the same as wat MDW 1st customer have but at original price & no special additional gown.

retsnon,
basically 5688 include AD gown & compared to 2688 pkg, the album are bigger size & nicer. 2688 rdshow price is 25 pose when upgrade to 5688 norm price got 30 pose. oh yes also include car deco, 6 corsages,
hand bouquet & make up.

Gosh.. after so many talks abt the limited gowns designs.. yesterday i had a dream... i dreamt that i was left with 2 lousy design of EG to choose ! Freaked me out !

What a dream to end the year... Merry Xmas !!!

merry xmas!

ya.. their gown selections for local ps is really limited.. nicer designs they said reserved for AD only.. left with not much choices.. there was 1 dress i saw in 1 of their sample albums n asked to try tat gown.. but they said now tat gown also reserved for AD only.. but hey it appeared in the album.. i supposed it cud b taken out for ps rite? *scratch head*.. n in the 1st place tat is the sample album we saw n loved n then decided to sign up but now..

mrspooh,
I can feel how you felt. When I was choosing my PS gowns in HK, I requested for a gown I saw in the sample album. The ladies took the effort to find out which gown it was but sadly, I was subsquently told that France Bridal did not carry the gown. =(

Hi all MDW brides,

After so much much talk and so many couples had done their HK/local shoots, I wonder if anyone can kindly post their photos that had been touched up by the hongkong side? I am sure the rest of the MDW brides will be anxious to see if the photos & edffects are really done up as nicely as the model ones showed to us?

Vanessa - when are u leaving for HK PS ?
happy.gif

Enivi28 - I guess most of us have not received our albums yet.. not even the soft copies, as the shop is new and they need 3 mths to do up the final album.

Btw, wanted to ask if we are given the soft copies for our photo album layouts..? I know the selected individual photos will be given back to us in cd-rom format. Also did anybody request to see the photo album layout before they send for print..?

kodomo, i will be leaving sin to hk on the 11th jan. you need me to help u get something that you have missed during yr trip there? or u have any golden advise / tip for the hk trip...

Kodomo,

gd qn raised. I dun think they provide the photo album layout softcopy. Perhaps you could tell MDW that all of us would appreciate that kind gesture of theirs.
happy.gif

Vanessa,

Bon vayahe and all the best. Enjoy and relax...hear from your positive feedbacks again soon.

Vanessa,

Mind checking out the guo da li stuff? Has anyone here like kodomo or cocoabun checked out that? I think it's much cheaper.

2day is 25th, exactly 1 month more to Eve of CNY. Scary, time flies....

woah looks like we gonna ask/request them to at least show us the draft layout before printing!

other then those who already selected photos, any1 in process of going for photo selection etc? maybe can raise out this concern to MDW.

hi MDW friends,
saw tat MDW gonna have show at the Wedding & Travel Fair 2008 (3rd - 5th Jan), which will take place at
Venue: Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Concourse Level 3
Date: 3rd to 5th January 2009
Time: 12noon to 10pm

thanks silin...
as for the guo da li stuff, we intend to buy the bedside lamps, teapot, Pajamas, ang bao, stickers, towels, and bride slippers, etc... heard from my hk friend, is cheaper and nicer than in singapore... hope i can get most of them if i am able to locate the place...

Kodomo: Haha, you are so funnie! Don't give yourself so much stress over the gowns ya. =D

I just bought my guo da li stuff from Singapore-chinatown . Really ex..just that spitton, baby tub, lamps, comb, toothbrush, toothpaste etc cost me $200+. Design is also so so only. Hk does offer better range of wedding products, esp the kua and shoes. However, it's the convenience of buying in Singapore. So inconvenient to check in a plastic tub, spitton etc. I rather save that space for shopping in HK :P

Vanessa,

Hmm...wanna sk you help me check if they have nice fans or bedlamps and teapot esp...if very nice...I wanna buy...but the trick is I can't see how ncie they are...
