Mesotherapy or Carboxtherapy? Anyone Tried?

Hi gals,
I'm new bird here.
Interesting huh, wat we girls go tru just to look pretty.
I recently went for meso and carboxy treatment too in one of the clinics in Paragon, (though not the cute Dr Valentin) 4 sessions of meso on my tummy which used about 12 vial, and 6 sessions of carboxy on my thigh. I must say its a complete waste of $$ !!!
All my life I have tried numerous things from slimming centres to gyms to weight lost pills, after all these, I must say, exercising is still the best and lasting way to KEEP WEIGHT OFF!!
I mean all these injections and slimming centres, we pay so much just to take 2 inches off which then will eventually be piled back on again before ur credit card bill arrives for the treatment we paid for!! I will stick to exercising and cutting out of carb from my diet, and with the money that I safe from going to all this treatments, I might be able to indulge myself once in a while in fancy restaurant!!

)

The bottom line is all these treatments are not permanent or lasting( I don't mind paying if it is) I still find exercising is still the sure way to maintain the body we want..... Though slowly but SURELY

hi YSL, sounds bad...i guess these kinda medical treatments differe from person to person, some will see more results, some will see less.

i think having a good diet helps very much...

Hi YSL76, may I know what is the clinic name at paragon that u went? Is it a female or male doc? My fren is also interested in meso, but she prefers a female doc, and paragon is very convenient for her. so would like to check with u if ur doc is a female. thanks.

Hi amberi0, u dont feel any difference when u wear ur jeans? At first, i also like not much diff liddat, only when i wear my jeans then can see that it is looser. Anyway, hope u will see sm results after ur whole treatment. cheers.

hi daphne
thank u for your encouragement. i can roughly guess the outcome. i know there won't be any diff after the whole session. feel like asking for a refund... -.-"

hihi,
went to visit the cute Dr Valentine Low yesterday and was being thrown out coz he laughed and said i dun need meso & he can easily carry me and throw.. not bad for a Dr to say that, at least i know he is not purely into making $$ only.. he really assess and advice patients..

instead i did botox on my square jaw.. was very very unprepared when i did it but hubby was there wi me and he say just go ahead so i was blur blur brought into the room. actually my square jaw has been troubling me since young bt i nv tot of doing anything coz i tot it involve complicated surgery.. Dr. Low seems more excited than me to see the result... have to wait 2mths to see result..

I have visited Dr Loh previously, before I chanced upon this forum, to have radiofrequency treatment done.

During the consultation, I was told that the procedure will last about 45mins and for $1,000. The treatment, which tightens the skin and contracts fat cells at the same time was done using a device that transmits heat to beneath the skin layer.

After (so called) completing my treatment, the doctor disappeared without another word and left the nurse to send me to the counter, where I paid up and left. But what I realised when I was in the lift and after checking my watch was that the treatment lasted only 20mins as opposed to the 45mins discussed!! I suppose all the heat that I had to bear made me felt that it was longer than that.

Anyway, I was told by Dr Woffles Wu that the minimum time for the procedure is 40 minutes or else the tissues do not get enough heat.

Perhaps it was because I was the last patient of the day to visit Dr Loh's clinic and everyone were in a hurry to go home. (All the staff had already packed up and ready to see me to the door when I emerged from the treatment room.) But then again, whatever the reason, I thought Dr Loh should exercise better judgement than to shortchange his patients who pay good money for his 'services'!

hi jessica,

can i find out more about this radio frequency thingy from you? Will the fats in the cheek disappear PERMANENTLY?

And where is this dr loh located?

thanks!

Hi all, wonder if anyone has tried mesotherapy without needles before? I took up this new treatment at Marie France which penetrates the cocktail into the tummy area with a pencil-like device, so I did not have to suffer any bruises from injections (scared of the pricks!!) . After my first treatment, my "kangaroo pouch" really became much, much flatter...It really helped me regain my self-confidence and I sure hope to lose some more with my second visit.

Hi Abbie, does Dr Chan charge per area or by per session? For Dr Valentin, he charges per session, meaning he will inject into all areas which require meso..not just one area (e.g tummy)

hi all, i did meso not long ago coupled with radio frequency which i think is very effective. I did it on my thighs and the doc suggested 3 sessions of meso only. Per session is $400(he absorbed my GST) and i did on my inner and outer thighs which i think other doctors will consider it as 2 separate areas. Think he jab more than 10 times per thigh...
And the Radio Frequency is very cheap as well. It was abt $50 per session . My thighs are smaller now and i'm really happy with the result. I got it done at Chinatown Point. Anyone interested can just pm me coz it'll be cheaper if i recommend you in. cheers

hi pple i also did it @ e outlet prinesssze recommmneded. quite effective..i mean i cld see th reduction in stretch marks , skin smoother.. less budge

Hi,

I went to the place recommended by princesssze. I have signed up for RF which can cause fat reduction. After the treatment, you'll experience immediate inch loss and also firmer, tighter skin. The price is much cheaper than slimming centres. Their service is good as well.

hi all who have been to chinatown point RF,

may i know if the effectiveness of one RF session lasts?? or does the body lose the firmness and return back to normal after a few days (or awhile)??

Hi, those who hav tried the meso & RF is the result permanent? and how effective is the RF? I wonder if meso go w or wout RF will it result in great difference. Kindly, share your experience.

hi pple..

it called de_touche @ chinatown pt..

RF is not say really permanent..you do experience smoother skin (less stretch mark) + more firm but have to be realistic & watch your diet + do try to exercise. meanwhile go for more to maintain.

hi all

i have also tried the RF treatment and their newly launched meso therapy which is needleless at chinatown point. I have find that the treatments are pretty effective and i have signed up their package.

hi all!

Haven't came into this thread for a long long time! Sorry everyone, had been really busy recently.
Hi jennifer! Had tried the needleless meso theraphy at chinatown point as well! Soooooo much better than the traditional meso, no bruise, no pain and cheaper. Its effective for me as well. Can see the difference after one treatment. Those who are considering the traditional meso but afraid of jabs, think this will be a much better option.
