Hi Cheryl C,

Thanks for sharing. When you mentioned that the food serving is small, do you mean to say that there is no chance for second helping if the guest wants to? I understand the waiter/waitress will portion out the food and serve it individually to each guest, but does that mean that the guest only get to eat that particular portion and nothing more?

I remember seeing one dish on the picture, prawn on a skewer..i understand from the coordinator that the guest will only get to eat that 1 prawn for that dish...it got me worried abit

Do let me know yeah! I don't want to pay so much and have guests complaining that food is not enough

Thanks

From what I understand, the waitress will portion out the food and yes there won't be any second portion but as there are 9 dishes so the guests should be fine.

Prawns on skewers?? Didn't choose that, I had the steamed prawns in herbs and it was excellent. There were 2 prawns per guests and the prawns are big.

Here's the few pictures of the dishes you requested

Hi cheryl c,

Thanks for sharing. For the prawn in herbs, are the prawns dishelled? Also, what is the name of the dish -3rd picture that you posted?

Do you mind telling us the final menu list that you have chosen? I can PM you if you want.

Thanks

The 3rd dish is the cod fish with teriyaki sauce. The prawns are not shelled but think its worth it to peel....

I haven't finalised my menu but will post once its confirmed

I've got a weekend stay for a Harbour Suite at Oriental Singapore. You can use it after a wedding dinner stay for your family, friends. Or a romantic wedding anniversary.

Pls drop me a mail at [email protected] or PM me for your offer.

Hey waxie24, my coordinator is also Mark.

I hope that I am not too late.

Previously, I wanted to sign up for the show. I actually called up and enquire about it. The lady said that they will select the list of ppl to come for the wedding show. So abit half-hearted. Thinking they sure won't pick couples that already sign up with Oriental.

You can arrange the no. of pick up points with the bus people. you can get the bus service from your co-ordinator, then u arrange urself

1st pickup point can be your blk carpark, then to nearest mrt, then to the hotel. But guests have to be on time, else they miss the "shuttle service"

my cousin did that for her wedding.. most of her guests arrive and leave, at the same time.. haha.. great for family, neighbours and friends living nearby.

Waxie,
I think so far Oriental still quite accessible unless you are taking about hotels like Traders, Sheraton....

Waxie, how much are you paying for what bus charter? I thinking of having it also, because my in-laws side dont drive and have around 10 ppl. It will be good if I charter a bus to bring them down. Somemore they are VIPs, not nice if they take mrt/bus down.

price wise i'm not sure, i havent call n ask cos my wedding next yr.. haha..
but i think the price shld be ok, bcos normally if my mum n neighbours ard 10, go holiday together, they will charter a bus to drive them to n fro. they say cheaper than taking cab.

i can ask my mum for contact if u all need.
