hi everyone...i just went to M hotel for site visit last week...and it is really a nice hotel...however, i find that anson room's ceiling is very low...only 2.5m high compare to the other ballroom (4m high).

yup, Anson room is a function room so the ceiling is very low. While the Banquet suite is a ballrom, so its much nicer.

Anyone taking their wedding lunch @ Anson Room? I see that the 7 course lunch seem abit little compared to the normal 8 course. did anyone happen to add/change dishes and roughly how much is the price adjustment?

For those that took anson room, will some of the tables unable to view the stage? Will there be a LCD screen to show the stage?

Sir Lex> What advice you need on card printing? Go down to Tdragon, choose the design you want. If you are printing your inserts with them, then bring along you n wife chinese name as well as your parents chinese name. Then they will do the insert for you accordingly. If printing insert think need at least 1mth. If only buying cards from them then is 3days. Your wedding in May right? so fast food tasting?

If you want to save money, I suggest go to Citysquare Johor (TnT) to print. Cheaper and only need 1 week to get it printed. Many Spore Couples go there to print their inserts. So did I. LOL

angie c: for anson room, there will be 1 table that is blocked by the stage if i'm not wrong. LCD screen is at the front of the stage.

me too.. decided to go with M Hotel.. I must say their package is very comprehensive.. however still trying to neg for additional bridal suite stay.. but M hotel very resistant..

angie c: Go for banquet suite if it's available and within your budget! The ceiling is much higher and looks more grand. My AD is on 12 march next year and banquet suite is alr taken up. How about urs?

as_fate_says: i also tried to ask for additional bridal stay but they can only offer late check out at 2pm, subjective to hotel management.. good luck to you!

Hi leenie,

M hotel will provide 70% of guaranteed guests invites. So you see how many extras you need (tis is the amt u need to pay the cost is based on which card design you wan)

Printing of inserts (I dun really rem the price quoted by t-dragon but TnT is 110RM for 200pcs -1side printing-no maps)if you wan map additional 30RM

Btw, when i collected my cards from Tdragon it came with maps. I'm not sure its provided for free or they accidentally gave it to me. Either way, luckily i didnt ask TNT to include map for me.

You can go down to Tdragon to select your card, ask for the insert printing price and decide whether it is worth to travel to JB to do it. I'm for cost saving so i dun mind the trip to JB(take it as a shopping trip also)

Anson room is actually a long version with low ceiling. You can check with your sales in charge and go down when there is wedding to have a look, especially on weekends where there will most likely be a wedding. Will be holding mine in Banquet suite as do not like Anson suite.

i had signed on with M hotel during BOWS 2010.. really good deal.. booked Anson room as the Banquet Suite was already taken up on my AD date.

Additional perks were the following:
Free flow of beer & red wine from commencement of dinner till 2300hr
Banquet Suite: $1388nett off total bill, Anson Room: $1088nett off total bill,
Day use standard room to extend to overnight stay with Breakfast for 2 pax
1st year anniversary stay in deluxe room

** If you pay using DBS credit card, you will get another 1st year anniversary stay in the deluxe room

Hope M hotel will extend this perks for the upcoming wedding fair/show

the coordinator did not mention about the DBS promo. I asked her about it as i saw this special perk on the DBS website

with the DBS promo, i will get to stay two nights in the deluxe room at my anniversary =)
- One night is from the BOWS wedding perk & 1 night from the DBS credit card

angel... i was in love with grand park city hall but my hubb rooted for m hotel. eventually we signed banquet suite (even though m seemed more tuff on negotiation) but we've not looked back since

request to see m's ballrooms just before a wedding and you'd be awed by the transformation of the space eg. they sprinkle petals all the way from cocktail area to ballroom for standard package.
