What Laguna promise i believe they will deliver

So i think we should put a stop to all these commands...It will make the rest feel tensed and doubtful.
 


Well I also hoped so....I wouldnt feel so frustrated and realise it was a total waste of time making the trip to see the management the second time.

This thread is about sharing individual experience. Honestly, I am glad that everything worked out for you. You were lucky, everything went well for you. If you were me & things does not go well for you. What do you do?

When is yr AD?? I'm still wondering abt the quality of the food. haha.. and I'm also doubtful abt their toilets.. seems like there's very few on the same flr as the ballroom. I checked the one across the ballroom (opp the stairs) and there's only 2 cubicles!! I have a guest list of 400.. so 2 cubicles will be a challenge. Karen told me there's another toilet in the ballroom itself but its another 2 cubicles only.. pray that the guests will not hv to q outside the toilets!

Any previous Laguna brides here??? Can share their exp?

mine is in June havent being to the foodtasting yet but i am working fine with jason .....When will be yrs? will share with u after the food tasting in May ok

toilet ah hee i never consider that but i know there is one in the ballroom itself and 1 out side the main entrance door not to worry lah heee they will not go at the same time.....
 
In my opinion to all btb, if the experience you have with the place is not good, no point pushing them and continue the event there.. For wedding, most important thing is everyone to be happy, i mean if i have a bad experience with this place, no matter how good they are on my wedding day, i'll still feel something is not right.. So why not look for other place that make you feel happy and you have no complains about them? Make your preparation smoother as well

p.s: not that i also suffer same fate as Cutebubble, but just my little thought..

I just had a nightmare of the wedding.. everything possible went wrong!!! horror horror!! I think I'm getting stressed over it!! haha

Btw OCC allows couples to sorta attend another wedding, just to get a feel how they run their event. Do you know if Laguna does the same? For OCC they have a audio/light room, so you get to go into the room (away from their ballroom) and observe.. this way you also know how to coord on the AD. I tot that was a good idea coz I've never coord a wedding before.
 
Dear all,

I have signed up for my package since last August 2007 and my wedding date is 14 September 2008. I was working with Lee Peng on this matter but she has since left and Nicole took over. But I just realised that Nicole had left too, without notifying me and now Jason is my coordinator.

I haven't had a discussion with him yet but my package was signed with Lee Peng, so I believe she had given us a good package.

May I just check with you guys, in our package, we were told that we can have our photoshoot at their golf course, but my package only mentioned Mondays and Tuesdays only. I just called them and was told that the timing was only 8am to 11am for their photoshoot!

According to my studio, outdoor shoots are usually in the late afternoon, how to go for photoshoot in the morning at Laguna?! Anyone taken your photo over there already? Please could you share with me?

hi hi. perhaps i could share some info, i just held my wedding there few days ago. June 1st to be exact. i saw some wedding couple coming to view my room layout

i was with karen until she left, then jason took over.

strengths

1. very flexible. and understanding. when we up our tables from 30 to 50, and asked for perks, jason threw in a free nigth stay ( which i really needed as my gate crash was held there.

2. end of the dinner, we needed more favours for guests who couldnt atend, that was given immediately. ( gave us 20 pcs of the golf ball.)

3. we bought our own bubble machine and their guys helped us coordinate it thruout the wedding

4. we needed shuttle buses as we had lots of relatives so they accomodate our request to designated places in tampines.

5. Jason was flexible and understanding. he seems keen to do business and we were pleased with him. He helped us save some money by giving advise to our table arrangement.

6. karen left for another country club, but when i was with her, she was nice and fast efficient too.

7. bridal suite is pretty pretty pretty! i held my tea ceremony there. wonderful

8. chiligoya - yes, timing only 8 to 11 am. cos their course is open for staff during the afternoon. the time range was for your safety so u dont get hit by golf balls... according to my buggy ibrahim.

9. food was good. however, foood tasting was alot better.... i guess difficult to maintain quality when i have 50 tables.

10. layout was pretty.... and ballroom was big.

11. most importantly, the people inc harge, jason, rahman operations adn his operations assistance a chineze guy are all very sincere... any info or instructions passed to them are handled immediately... very important for the actual day run down.... sad to say, they delegate the instructions to their staff who screwed up some of the timesz

12. prices cheap considering the prices of other places charging now...

weakness

1. service staff inexperience... kinda like part timers

2. dishes came out too too fast.... before i was done with 20 tables photo taking, the rest are eating the 2nd last dish...

3 NOTE brides who are particular with walk in style. NO SPOT LIGHT HERE. only lights along the aisle are lighted... however, there was some coordinationg problem, so my walk in was kinda without any lights.... other then this, it was alright.kinda sad to say this, but the lightings for walk in should be something that they are very experienced in... but... sigh...

4. technical staff inc harge of mixer have to really coordinate well with your emcees.. make sure u give specifi instructions... cos even after my clear instructions, they keep playing the wrong song at the wrong time... sigh....


well, as far as i can see...just remember todo a rehersal of the day... i had no time for it so some things kinda go coo coo....

overall, i will recommend laguna to any bride out there.... people in laguna are friendly and accomodating...

Oh thks for your advice! I've been kinda worried coz this thread has been kinda inactive and we didn't really get much feedback from past brides! I'm glad to know the food was ok (food quality is very impt to my mom!).

Can I check with you if you had problems with the toilet? Coz I understand that there's very limit cubicles and for 50 tables, did you have any guests complaining that they queued too long for the loo?

Also, I tot that the max cap is 45 tables? How did they managed to squeeze in more tables? Were there enough space b/w tables?

Lastly, this is a blur qn, but how to do a rehearsal of the dinner? I've never help coordinate a wedding before, so this is really my 1st time doing this. Any advice is appreciated!

My wedding's over! Every thing went well but there's some little issues i wont find it nice to reveal here....

Jason and Charles are did the best for me so not to worry ok =)...

I've yet to visit Laguna but thought their package looks q affordable... on par with restaurants. And with a nice suite thrown in!

2 quick concerns:

1. No of toilet cubicles - v few. Is this really an issue?
2. Did your guests have trouble finding the plc, esp those who take public transport?

Hi all, just finished my wedding at Laguna on last Saturday ... Everything went very very smoothly. The banquet ops team was very professional, always pre-empting me n my hubby on what will happen next .. In fact the two gentlemen (Jason Tan & Feroz) had just joined Laguna and my wedding was their first wedding event here. Everything was done up very nicely with totally no hiccups at all ... Food was well portioned and everyone commented that the food was excellent ... The team also took extra care of us by sending food to us after the wedding, taught my hubby n me how to hold my gowns as it was very long (i was worried I will trip n fall).

Even thou Laguna had no specific theme, but the way the ballroom was done up was very very romantic. My guests also told me that they also did made a point to check with them to ensure the food was ok.

Overall, I give thumbs up to the whole Banquet team for making my wedding a really perfect n memorable one. I will not hesitate to recommend Laguna to all my friends and anyone who would be keen to hold their wedding there.

I am very glad to see your positive comments about your wedding at Laguna Country Club. As I will be holding mine on Oct 2010, I am pretty concern about the whole event. Wondering whether will everything goes smoothly.
Anyway, I hope that it will be as good as yours. Cause Jason is no longer with them. A new guy has take over his work. Crossing my finger and everything goes well

I had a horrible experience dealing with the coordinator and I'm glad I didnt go ahead in holding my wedding over there.

Why dont you try raffles country club ? I planning my banquet at there . One table cheapest they go is 300++ excluding gst and service charge. The menu like not bad too.
