eat less?
my kids are eating a bigger portion than I do!
eating less didn't help me to slim down but at least I don't keep growing sideway

hubby loves supper & snacks.
if I can't resist, I will steal a few bite but a definite no no to consume full portion

anyone tried any osim or oto slimming products?

WOAH...gallie..
since when u become vain har??

Btw eyebrow embroidery is popular by those indian and they Professional in dat, they use thread to do it.. i heard quite pain too..
the shop wld be sumwhere in arab st. like those shophouses.

hahaha...u don't know me well!! along i'm very vain de! hahaha... aiyah lazy to do eyebrow trimming every month & also more cost effective if go for perm eyebrow embroidery.

i saw advert from estetica, jean yip but just wondering if it is good & most importantly, end result look nice & natural...

oh ya.. hor.. mistaken sorry!
i heard ex leh... gallie i rich can, can sign package.

is the process like this:- looks interesting

1. She will draw the eyebrow shape with a eyebrow pencil for you to see before she do it

2. She will 'tattoo' using some sort of pen.

3. After the 1st session, your skin will peel off during the 3rd/4th day and the color will look natural, like you always have perfect eyebrow.

4. You need to go for a second session after 3 months, which after that, the eyebrow will remain.

5. Your normal eyebrow will still grow, so you just plucked according to the Siew Mei shape.

ya still can go work, if you think is very dark than put some pressed powder to lighten it…

huh!!! delin, i tried to visualize the way you describe but end up those ah soh tattoo eyebrow appeared in my mind!!! kia si lang leh!

no no no...NO WAY! i don't want to end up like those auntie, ah soh type of eyebrow!!! i still very young hor!!!

I must confess, what you saw were drawn with Shu Emura eyebrow pencil! My make-up skill not bad hor LOL

I went for eyebrow embroidery in 2003 and the colour faded two years later. The end result was very natural but unfortunately, I have very sensitive skin and so decided not to go for another round after it faded.

I got mine done at a salon called Allure at Tiong Bahru Plaza. By the way, my mom and sis also went there for theirs.

As my skin around the eyebrows area is pretty thin, the embroidery drew blood. But it wasn't really painful as anaesthia cream or gel was used to numb the area.

wahhaaaaa... gallie.
I make u scared liao..cos i never try before so i category and imagine it the way they gonna do.. hahahaha..

ask doll hows the process is!!!

Doll,

I heard they use a penknife kind of thing to start pierce in your eyebrow with colour. The sound can be intidimating but will not feel painful because of the antiseptic rite??

eiyerrrrrr... scared of the pain...

doll, meaning we will have to re-do it again in another 2 years time? do you have your eyebrow trim at allure too?

yah man delin, scary leh! imagine end up with a ah soh eyebrow & i'm very sure i'll be the joke of the day during chatters outing!!! hahahahaa...

aiyoh delin, pls stop...you are scaring any potential customers away with your horrified description!! hahaha...

me too supeeeeeeer afraid of pain!! no choice, my skin hyper tender & soft! hehehe...

No penknife, no piercing.

The penknife like tool is made up of 12 thin needle points. The beautician will weave in the pigment (colour) by creating pencil stroke effects on the brow area.

As it is semi-permanent, unlike tattoo, you have to re-do it every 1-2 years.

By the way, the touch-up isn't done three months later but in one month instead.

Gallie, i make u scared cos i know im not gonna do it.. hahahahaaa.. (so cruel)

But if you wanna nice and natural, dun wan always trim, then no choice u have to endure the pain and sign for package lor...

for me no, no, lah...

but dun ever do tatoo..!!! lol

It was almost painless for me as anaesthetic cream was applied to numb the brow area before the job was started. Towards the end when the anaesthetic effects wore off some, felt a bit like ant's bite.

thanks doll for sharing the info, let me reconsider again... =)

where do you girls normally have your eyebrow trim? anyone knows where to learn eyebrow trimming?

question ah, if we need to go back 1-2 yrs to maintain and also still need to pluck the strays, then wat is the value of going for it?

Yah, anyone with a good recommendation for eye brow trimming? I usually get mine done while at facial...

me done at Glamz Nails at Far East Plaza.
If i do my Pedi and Mani, i will sure trim my eyebrow there plus waxing my half leg all there..
much much easy...

I tweeze out the strayed hair myself as the brow shape is still intact after embroidery, albeit faint now. I swear by Shu Emura's tweezer which can tweeze out very fine hair.

i just use tweezers with sharper edge. It grips the fine hairs better. I found a cheap and good one at watsons sometime ago. Forgot the brand liao...

Dolly,
i feel like trying wat u did leh... bt pain a nt? dun tink tat pain rite cos they sure put anaesthetic cream to ease d pain rite?? den after doing tat, do we nd to anything on our part? like cnt wash tat area or put antiseptic to kill d germs?

Sleepycat, the pros of eyebrow embroidery are:
- No need to draw eyebrow with pencil every time you go with full make-up, which can be time-consuming;
- Need to buy eyebrow pencil; and
- No need to pay for eyebrow shaping.

Sleepycat.. hmmm i dun tink so..
just happen evrythin is there, so quite convenient too.. and im Orchard babe.. kakakaka

Doll, okie lah..
My eyebrows are quite thick so I usually dun draw. At most darken the brows with dark brown eyeshadow which also doubles up as my eyeliner..
My prob is not keeping the shape but the fine fine hairs that grows on the eyelid. super irritating to maintain...

Rinny, if you can tahan the pain of eyebrow tweezing, the slight tingling from embroidery should be fine.

Yes, they use anaesthetic cream (not antiseptic cream hor) to numb the brow area first before they do job. The tingling sensation can be felt toward the end of the weaving after the anaesthetic effect wears off.

After embroidery, must apply a special ointment a few times a day to protect the brow area. Avoid rubbing that area and avoid using make-up for maybe one week.

Sleepycat, I am sure your tweezer serves you fine. But if you have to a chance to try the Shu Emura tweezer, you will know what I mean.

my eyebrow is not thick & not really fine but it's ugly & tends to be out of shape very quickly. therefore, i need to have it trim every 3 weeks.

i usually have my eyebrow trim either at inuovi or ros & roy but one has moved out & the other one, snr consultant has left...haiz...so now don't know where can i have it trim...

3 performances 10.30pm, 12am & 1.30am.

Entrance fee for guys & gals $20.00 with 1 free drink.

**maybe you can try too with your chatters gals.

Doll,
Can the lines drawn by Shu Emura eyebrow pencil last throughout the whole day? I need to draw my brows longer.

1. My eyebrows are thick, so the drawn color cannot be too vivid.
2. Must withstand oily skin and sweat. As I sweat a lot, the lines drawn by a few eyebrow pencil brands and 1 eyebrow shadow all faded after I reach the office
sad.gif

green, maybe you can try inuovi dual eyebrow shadow. apply one portion on the eyebrow first & then complete with the eyebrow shadow. it can prevent from wiping off due to sweating etc..i bought but have yet to try it..hehe

Anyone can advise wats the reasonable price for a BS.

Currently we checked out locately and msia. Both are about 3.5k but one in sgd one in ringgit ... lol.

Anyone has experience wif Msia's BS? Worth all the travelling? We abit worried of hidden cost too.

Greenie

Why do you need to draw your eyebrows? They already look perfect!

Shu Emura eyebrow pencil can last you the whole day. But to play safe, I bag it along in case I accidentally rub part of my eyebrow away mah. Never know hahaha
