Charly, VS is not available in Singapore. Go for one size smaller than your normal local size. So, if you are a local M size, you get US S size.
 
Hippo, as long as you don't have auntie mentality and you don't dress like one, you're not auntie lor. Age doesn't matter. Believe me, there are many 20-something aunties around!

ya, tight fitting jeans in bright colors apparently is the in thing now in taiwan n hk - girls wear them like tights with skirts n stuff. sigh, i dun have the legs to wear them.
 
I see, Charly. I have the legs to wear them but I don't think I'll like myself in that kind of look. Guess I have passed the age of following trends and fashion, and prefer to go for classic designs...hehe

One denim color and One black. cost $49.90 each.
Please buy 1 size smaller as the jeans will expand a bit after washing.

Hippo, I think there is no need to dress youthful but to dress your age. And as we grow in maturity, less (fanciful) is more (graceful), I believe.

Not the floral dresses, I prefer 1-color dresses at Mango.

Please... classic designs are not only for mature women! Haha I also go for simple, classic designs. No wonder we like each other's clothes sometimes during outings. I like your rings especially.

Actually, I dress slightly younger than my age for casuals at times...like denim miniskirt...cos I feel very comfortable in it. Hope I ain't too under dressed hehe.

For me a frequent Mango, evry sale a part of it, i can see they take out in the new season too..
same as Zara and Guess.
 
dolly jie.. to me is quite overprice le.. recently i realised there is a shop at Far East Plaza call Staple Wear selling beautiful dresses for both casual and formal occassions.
Comparing mango's quality to theirs, i think mango's one is overprice....

Maybe i buey gain paying over $50 for a dress made of thin cloth.... hee..
i rather pay close to a hundred for the type of fabric at Staple Wear.. >.<

Now Far East Plaza not only targeted the young ones. U can see lotso of the shop almost selling adults clothing and the latest trend too.

Do not afraid, just walk from B1 the newer stores there then take escalator one by one floor up and you can see all very nice nice clothes wan...
 
Doll they sell classic design too. i have a few dresses from Staple wear too.. The quality is good and some of their design are limited edition. They only have like 5-10 pcs so very hard to see someone wearing the same dress as you. Tat's what i like coz i have a few experience someone wearing the same dress as me in the train or foodcourt.
 
yeh.. i went there with dodo and we almost bought the whole shop down after trying so many nice dresses.. keke..
a pity that my budget doesnt allow me to buy as many as i like... =(

Going to the office, I am usually in two pieces - blouse and skirt. I don't wear long pants.

how's the dresses at staple wear like? are they very expensive?
 
charly, i think most of the dresses there are catered to either smart casual or formal dress code.. the cuttings are nice and special with basic colour like white, black and off whites. Other designs include colours like green, grey and blue.

i bought mine at $89.90 and dodo bought hers for around $100 each i think. But luckily they are having 20% discount that day, thus we saved quite a bit... xD
 
I dunno hw to describe the design in word but it's more to the 1 or 2 color design. Based on the quality i would say not expensive range from 80plus to 100plus...
 
great! i used to wear jeans and casual tops most of the time, but recently been wearing lots of dresses (after post christmas shopping spree) and i really love dresses for now! most of them are cheap ones below $40, but am thinking of get a nice dress or 2.
