Hi Plush, it can be done! Have u ladies heard of the Atkins diet? basically, no rice and carbs.. Only fruits (less sweet variety) and meat... No sugar... Some pple eat like half a fruit and some lean meat or tuna for meals.. And that's it... tough man...

Jessica, did u take any bridal package? Its cheaper that way. I got mine frm sophia bridal (one of those along tanjong pagar). They had a 20% disc n thru in lots of stuff n i grabbed it. Lots of things covered in d package itself n it saved me lots of time and hassle. They hv nice range of dreamy gowns wid long trains, if tats what u r looking for. oh ya, their package includes MTM wedding gown, MTM evening gown n MTM groom's suit(to keep).

nope didnt take any package.. I am taking ala carte cos I only need evening gowns.. HTB wants to tailor his suit on his own... I went to Sophia too. Saw a really nice OTR but they charge 1600 for that. quite pricey... and the gown was really simple... no embellishment, stonework etc..

Jessica - yup their OTR gowns are rather simple n plain. But they have designers collections as well. I selected mine frm those designers collections. Yes, i agree its very ex if u dun get a package. Did u try shopping online?

I would prefer to go to a vendor in SG as evenings gowns are not easy to alter.. dont want to have to look for a tailor... Your package is for AD or photography?

Hi Sanity...Moses quality is mediocre..i found douglas fun not too bad...my frens got the vg & pg frm him..photo quality = fantastic..vg = v good too...the video had a 1 hour montage preview thing in the beginning before the video starts from the beginning of the ceremony.

For a Rom ceremony for both vg & pg i tink it was below $1.7k

I spoke to moses sumtime ago. He sounds very flexible and dedicated.....he said he is HD ready n all but the video quality, lets just say its not the best out there....my dear pam wish u had mentioned douglas fun earlier....or wish i had asked u this question earlier....sobz.

Oh dear, dun be sorry pam.....its not ur fault deary...really..yeah i have sorta committed to him...i did give him a few links of gregs for him to see n get an idea. Hopefully he'd deliver sumthin of that quality. If not i'll just compromise on the quality i guess...boohoo! The gd thing abt him is, he does not go by hours like most vgs do n also stays till no matter how late the weddin ends.....so its all gd i guess.

Also, pam u recommended jinders? Think i wld prob have to skip the india trip...so i gotta find ma lengha in s'pore....how does jinders compare to stylemart? I gotta find out what is the seatin arrangement for the bangle ceremony like....if i gotta sit on the floor, i cant buy a fishcut/corset lengha....sighs....oh god i alrdy cant wait for the weddin to be ova.

Hey Sanity : mmm JInder's is a little cheaper then Stylemart they are nearby each other as far as i remember correctly. u could wear a churidaar or anarkali suit if u have to sit on the floor. It will make movement alot easier

Why dont u just drop by both places so tt u get a better idea....I will get another contact for indian wear for u guys..will post it once i get it prolly by next week...this lady's suits are pretttyyy nice... worth going to just have a look first.

-> She doesnt specialize in bridal wear, she has a wide array of indian wear ranging from cheaper to more exp suits... I have seen some of her bridal wear via a catalogue from UK at her place...itsss soooo beautiful...i remember her vaguely saying tt she can order it...

@ Jun : Start looking around for the kinda lengha u want..my fren bought her wedding suit from stylemart & she got a 50% off the actual price coz its been lying on the display rack for a few months...

btw her suit was beautiful.

If ure gna tailor it..make sure the tailor can stick to the design u want..so do a trial by get a simple suit or lengha tailored..tt way u can noe how good the tailor's fitting is. I would suggest getting ready made...less hassle u just needa alter..

Dearest Pam,

I have bought bridal lengha at A1.. Cream colour with dark red border and gold and silver beading.. It does not have too many beading as i am going to marry to an english man soo not soo nice when my lengha is over beading and his is plain tux..

It was also on sale.. and we cut the price more to $350 with tailoring.. the skirt is ready.. just need to talior the blouse..

How to do a trial? buy another lengha?

Hi Sanity! I bought everything from the Nungambakkam area. Express mall for lengha. Sarees from Pothys! They are simply the best. Saree is pattu with gold zaree and stones... Bought heaps of other stuff. Oh but india is NOT cheap.. U get good variety though...

Hey u jess...U did go to Express mall huh....thats nice. Pothys is ma fav for saree shoppin in india...i bot a bulk of ma silk sarees from there when i last visted india. Cant agree no more when u say its the BEST. They have a jewellery section where they'll help us pick out the jewelleries matchin the sarees...its sooo gd. Gold zaree n stones..ooooo soooo pretty!!!! Will stand out so nicely in the pic n video...u r gonna be one gorgeous bride!!!!Yea india aint cheap like b4 but u gotta give it to the variety! I just remembered, u r usin menaka for ur temple weddin rite? U can order ur bouquet n garlands from her too i think....
