I think clarity and colour are also important in choosing a diamond. You definitely need to do your research on 5Cs before you set out to buy a diamond.

20k is possible. My friend's ring has an excellent cut, clarity VS1/2, colour F, 1.36 carat, cost about 17k+. Not bought from a 'branded' jeweller.

You cannot see any different with your naked eye~ but your diamond cert can see!! Hahaha
I picked a IF ones~ but not 1.0 carat.

my fiance bought my 1 carat ring on james allen website. im not sure how much it cost though. he only mention cost him an arm and a leg.. lol

Actually depends on the Cs. Color, Clarity, Carat, Cut and .....

I bought mine at a special price of slightly less than $6K. And I got impulsive due to the low price and ended up getting 2 diamond ring.
