Shines, advisable not to have 40 tables in the crystal ballroom as it is gog to be v cramp..dun forgot u still have another 2 more spare tables..
 
Thanks Bubblepearl, I am having a major headache. I have 35 tables with 2 reseves currently, but am afraid that it's not enough. Our families wan to invite so many ppl. Looks like wedding is not for us, but for the sake of elders. It's very difficult to plan the figures...

Anyone with 37 tables and finds it crampy?

Queenie: My AD is on 7 Dec 08. Krystal is my coordinator. She is a nice lady.

Anyone going to do something special on tt day? Like getting a band or something? Any ideas to share?

Bubblepearl: Maybe you can try to get the customised cashcard & ezlink card from your coordinator. No harm asking right.. Hee..

initially i thou of engaging a band but i guess my planning came too late. anyway if u need contacts for band, let me know. i've got a few contacts from my research. prices are around $1k.

hi all...i thought the ez link card is entitled to every couple as a gift frm the hotel.Better check with ur coordinator k...my coordinator is vasanthi which is a very nice lady too

i am also a HIPV bride. My AD is in Mar 08. I signed up with them during the recent roadshow at Marina Sq.

But I haven't received the contract from them. Anyone sign up recently at the same roadshow? Have you all received ur contract?
 
hi gina, who did you sign up with? anyway, you'll get your contract later on coz they should be updating all the accounts they got after the roadshow. My coordinator's vasanthi and I've asked for mine to be mailed to me.
 
Hi gals out there,

I had juz obtained the package from HIPV for 2009, its reflected with an increase of $50 on the pricing. Wonder is I signed up with them now, will I be entitled to 2008 package. Has anyone ever tried it?

Gina: I have not sign my contract too. My coord is Krystal. She mentioned that the contract will only be ready a few weeks later after the road show.

Maybe you can email her or give her a call? My AD is not so soon so I nv call her up and check with her.

Twinklestar: R there any insert template available for us to choose at the card shop itself? Or r u gg to customise ur insert?

There have wide range of cards in T-dragon to choose from..but I am looking for other printers as well to print the insert..Therefore wonder if any one here has the insert template to share for the JiaQu series...

lynn - i actually signed up with the biz developement mgr (Ves), n not the co-ordinator, but the mgr passed me the namecard for vasanthi, so i suppose she will be my co-ordinator.

serene - few weeks? hehe. two weeks liaoz! i will email them to check.

anyone have vasanthi's email? cuz i misplaced her card!

Dun worry about the contract being slow. I waited close to 2 mths before I signed mine. Was quite frustrated & worried then. But in the end also ok. Vasanthi really keep the date for me, no hiccups.

I am back ! Overall my dinner is fine. As for the comments for the food fm my guest is so-so except for the shark fin is not hot enough and the mayo prawn got abit soaky..

The rest is ok there.

plus printing means inserts included no? I've got the same package and that was my understanding. In any case, insert prob cost about $150 or so...

i'm not sure really, that seems to be the price people are paying. Guess its for about 200 pieces? About 70cts a piece. My guesstimate only.

and also HIPV only have two designs to chose from. what if i dun like both designs? do i need to pay for tthe cards in this case?
 
Hi ladies,

From my understanding, we can choose the card designs at Tdragon. As long as the price is abt the same we do not nd to top up. If the design you have chosen is more ex, then you nd to top up the extra cost. There are quite a lot of designs available.

The cost of printing inserts is not included. We nd to pay for it. But as HIPV clients we get to pay at a lower rate.

Anyway, when i was sourcing for a wedding location, most hotels indicated that they do not include printing, so when HIPV said they include printing, it means it includes the inserts, no? I had the same inpression when I spoke with Krystal.
 
Lynn, HIPV dun include printing.

I just collected my inserts from my printer, JSP Art @ ubi road 1 Blk 3007 #06-406, tel:67458854. good service and cheap, thumbs up for them...keke

But if u dun stay or work ard there, i would not reco there, cos that place is really not really accessible.
 
When they stated "inclusive of standard printing services", they don't print the inserts for me? Then what does "inclusive of standard printing services" mean?

Ubi's too far, I think I can check around for others.

Let me offer some help on the cards:

HIPV got 4 standard cards. Those are the ones selected by the hotel. However, you do not need to choose those. If you go to T-dragon, they will show you 1 whole file & you can select cards from there. If from that file, no need to top up. If you want their other designs which are more expensive then you gotta top up.

Printing wise, there are broadly 3 ways to do it:
1. hotstamping direct on card
2. direct standard printing on card
3. print inserts - can be hotstamp and standard printing.

Cost wise varies from type of printing (& type of paper for inserts).

The so called standard printing also have different kind (some are more or less the same thing but different name):
1. economic printing
2. digital printing
3. offset printing
4. inkjet prining
etc.

inkjet printing is the cheapest cos it will smudge when contact with water (or sweat).

HIPV got different packages. The old ones, cards are NOT inclusive of prinint. The newer ones, they add standard printing.

mine pkg includes printing of inserts. The free printing is printing on a so call transparent paper & not on the invitation card.
Vasanthi explain some ppl dun like to bring along the invitation cards thus they jus take the insert to attend the wedding since the details are printed on it.

can i know above wat price we've to top up for the cards?TDragon got states the price of each card,thus if i know the price of the card tat HIPV give us...i can plan how much to top up if i wan a nicer card.
 
The inserts they give I dun think is transparent paper. Those muz top up de. Its the cream / pink paper. Quite thin but not transparent.

I think HIPV cards are the $1 ones.

For me, I am using hotstamp by an external printer. Cheaper by abit.
