Help! Tea ceremony - how many elders is too many?

Hi there! In order to space out our schedule, we've scheduled the tea ceremony before cocktails & dinner at the hotel. This will be an hour. Problem is, we're not sure where to cut off our family "elders".

For the extended family, we've included grandparents siblings and parents siblings.

Has anyone included parents cousins as well? And we've included our immediate cousins, but what about distant cousins (e.g. mum's cousin's son)?

Are any of these compulsory or are they optional? Seems like a ridiculously huge number if we include distant family too.

By right, everyone in the family tree which also include the distance relative etc. Tea Ceremony is the Chinese custom where both the Groom and the Bride introduce their partner to their respective family member.

By left, due to time constraint, and practically, just arrange the tea ceremony to the limits of both your parents can accept. For the rest, can always meet up during CNY.

Yes, that amount will literally take approx. 40mins or slightly longer. Most important is the coordination. Hence, do have someone in charge of that so that the whole process can be executed smoothly.

They said it would depend on the amount of time? Dad thinks an hour is more than enough for everyone (30+ couples / singles) but mum is kanchiong that it isn't.
