Hi,

Anyone hold their ROM solemnisation at Goodwood Park Tudor Terrace before? Need some comments
How's their Hi-tea buffet?
 


hi, hope my reply's not too late. i had mine by the pool under the marquee, buffet spread, had positive feedbacks from my guest.

can you share what time is your rom? cos mine will be held there too in jan05 and is around 3-6pm so scared it's too hot... care to share some tips or experiences?

i'm oso interested to find out cos i oso planning to hold my ROM tis yr and i plan for outdoor solemnisation and tinking of finding a garden plc, etc...

care to share the package, food and the price?

Hi Crazy gal

you might need to check with the coordinators again as the packages might not be the same for those in 2005...

Mine was around $40++/pax and min 10 tables. Food is great! They have international hi tea or the local delicacies nonya hi tea...

HI there ladies...

I'm planning to have my solemnisation done at the Mayfair Pool at GWP. Ceremony only, then an ala carte lunch at the coffeehouse. Problem now is... don't know what to negotiate for!! Can I ask for more flowers??

FH and I may be taking up Goodwood buffet lunch after solemnzation. Anyone has tasted their food? Good? Pls help by giving your precious comments about their food, service, etc.

i took up their high tea package and there were many varies of cakes, tarts and dim sum and they were very good. We are ate so much that they have to top up and I tabao the rest... :P

better than some of the hotels solemnisation buffet that i went to... worth it..

service is good too.. there will be 5-6 people there serving drinks actively... not those wait there and see kind but they will go up to your guests and offer drinks... good svr..

the fact is I use the main pool and as it is right beside the patio where the guests arem it really give people a very relaxed atmosphere and most of my guests like it so much that they stayed throughout the whole 3-4hrs...

Thks noscon for your feedback! FH n I looking at lunch. We liked the poolside idea but are afraid that it may get too hot for the older folks. We'll probably get the ballroom instead. Did u ask for more freebies?

yes all of the GWP brides get different perks. But for solemnisation, I did not bargain for perks but I do get more perks for my banquet as a result of my solemnisation also at GWP. For solemnisation, im not sure whether they gives out freebies. But I believe they will give u one night free if there are avail rooms.

Can we just book the poolside for solemnization and then go for the high tea buffet at coffee house? How much will these all cost?

my friend say to each his/her own; buyers beware.

Friend not keen to wash dirty linen in public but advice to you all is if you can do it early, do so and get it done.

Do not take things for granted for once it is over, it is OVER. You cannot turn back the clock. Forum say so and so is good, great wonderful... you may be the unlucky one to experience the unfortuante.

Does anyone knows how much it costs per pax for about 70 guests? for ROM solemnisation by the poolside?

Would like to have mine there =). Thanks to advice.

I did mine by the poolside for abt 30pax and it costs like $1k++. but i also enjoyed discounts for the rom cos my banquet was also held in GWP
 
btw i was at changi village hotel yest and saw a poolside rom. very very nice leh... can try there... the pool is above ground so actually can see the side of the water...know what i mean?

Hi all,

just had my ROM at GWP today, everything was just great. The food was nice and decor were fantastic. The only bad point was the weather, it's really too humid.

Hope those girls who're having their ROM at GWP will have a good experience like mine too! Cheers!

Hi karen,

I've jst emailed you the details. I had my solemnization at the Mayfair poolside, not at the main terrace. I requested for a sunflower theme and there's an additional charge of $10 per table for the decor.

if do the solemnisation at the poolside, will it be very hot?

i planning to do it at orchard hotel but understand from them that there wnt be any shelter.. so im afraid that it will be hot and i don't want my guests will start to perspire. But I like the atmosphere of having it at the poolside. dilemma nw.
