You can still have a video without gatecrashing... When I reviewed back my wedding morning express highlights video (you can check it out at our YouTube channel - link's in my signature below), less than 2 minutes of the video is on the gatecrashing bit. The rest of the video covers morning preparation such as make-up and dressing up, normal fetching of the bride (not the gatecrashing bit) to the groom's home, tea ceremony, as well as ROM / solemnization ceremony... Otherwise, instead of a video, you can also opt for a photo montage video featuring photos from the morning ceremony. You can also show a childhood photo montage video and also a pre-wedding photoshoot montage video (we did this too at our banquet although it's a dinner slot for ours) - you can either get a friend to help you do it or you can even do it yourself (which was what we did).. Just take note: if you're intending to show either an actual express highlights video or a photo montage video of the morning ceremony, you will definitely need to get someone else to do it for you (either a friend or a hired PG/VG) - there's very little time between the morning ceremony and your luncheon to have to run through whatever photos or videos that have been taken, make the selection and edit it to package it nicely into something you can show to your guests over lunch.

Also, is there any reason why you're considering whether to have a gatecrash or not? Have you discussed this with your fiancé? In my situation, I actually wanted to keep things simple so was originally thinking of forgoing the gatecrashing bit too but as I discussed with my fiancé (now my hubby hehe), I discovered that he actually likes the idea of gatecrashing as he enjoys the process of "winning" his bride and he has also been a "heng tai" / "brother" for quite a number of his friends' weddings and enjoys all those gatecrashing sessions even when some of the games could be quite challenging.. So we came to a compromise to proceed with gatecrashing but set a realistic time limit and other practical considerations as well. I didn't want my hubby or his "brothers" to end up with diarrhoea or vomiting so I forbade my "jie meis" / "sisters" to have any game that incorporates any weird food or drink concoction - I'm not gonna let such games ruin my first day and night with my hubby, hehe... Similarly, knowing how social media can get out of hand and how some "innocent" videos can ruin a person's image and reputation, I also made it a rule not to have any games that require the guys to cross-dress or dress less decently... Other than these two rules, I let my "jie meis" have full control over the rest of the gatecrashing session and planning.. The guys had one of the most lenient gatecrashing sessions ever but they still enjoyed every bit of it and we still stuck on nicely to our time schedule (time planning was important to us especially when we packed every single thing into one single day including gatecrashing, tea ceremony, ROM, church solemnization, post-solemnization lunch and evening banquet dinner)..

Either way, whatever you and your fiancé end up deciding upon, have fun planning your big day together and enjoy every moment leading up to it as well the days following your wedding!! ;)

We actually did a pre-wedding video. Is like an interview on how we know and started off...and we reenact the scenes, more to a comedy way!

Thanks for the feedbacks..

Htb was asking if it is necessary to have gatecrushing, guess he dun wan to be sabo! Haaa.. So I ask him.. if dun wan gatecrush, what do u show the guests.. he mention just our dating montage in the first march in will do.. and if that is the case, no need to hire vg.. however, I would like the vg to capture our whole day event..
