Hi Joel & sgwestie,

The hotel normally allows u to take the normal tables centrepiece but not the VIP ones. But, we requested to take the VIP table one as well as souvenir.

My guests loved the red roses & most were taken away.

The hotel will only play piped-in classical music. I prepared the 1st march-in & champagne pouring songs. The rest were settled by the band we engaged.

they've 2 ballrooms available. the main FS ballroom and Crescent ballroom. latter being the smaller capacity. talk to them and see which one you're more comfortable with. hope to see u in the FS club soon.

I juz received the price list from Eugene. Would like to inquire the following:
- Besides Eugene, are there any other wedding planners that are good? Eugene gonna be away for a week or so for reservist, so thinking of getting liaising with another planner for a tour of the premises.
- What are the bargainable stuff, e.g. seat covers, beer, corkage, etc?

Bargainable stuffs, minimal perks are thrown in, if u have time better to wait for their bridal fairs which they do throw in chair covers or else its 2 bucks per chair, beer not thrown in, corkage it better to get their wine as corkage is charge $25/bot.

thinking of it... u're more like following me in the FS journey

... i.e 2 contracts... one for ROM and the other for AD. as you understand, FS is strict in giving anything away... thus a tip... you may enhance your position a tiny weenie bit better if you're going for 2 contracts. gd luck!

as what josl mentioned, Georgette is another gd wedding coordinator. u may wish to get a tour of the hotel first. afterwhich, u can decide who u want to sign up with after discussing the details and dates. im sure u'll be spoilt choosing between the main and crescent ballroom....

based on what eugene told me, FS has no confirmed wedding shows for 2005 yet. most prob won't cos its almost end of yr now. so dun wait for the show cos there is only one main ballroom and gd dates are limited.

You are so right.... they are not very generous in bargains for freebies... as they continously stress on service, service and service.

For my ROM, i aliased more with Jacinta (conference svc mgr), she's pleasant and very patient.

For AD, definitely will consider 4 seasons as their min table only 25. (which fits my guest list comfortably

)

hmm... seems like their next wedidng show is next year then.... anyone got any ideas?

wah..i din even tour the place before i sign , i went to a banquet and 2 bridal shows before i decided that i will sign on the 2nd bridal show. Din really do much shopping juz wanted FS coz its not so common place for wedding.

songs..i juz used Jim Brickman CD for the 3 songs,Valentine,the gift and another instrumental in the same cd for march in.

FS wedding shows are not usu advertised in the papers, usu the coordinators will email the potential clients when the weddin show is round the corner...

Hi Josl &amp; Cheerygal..how did u guys managed to request for the bigger blocks of candles. Thought FS only provide tealights for the floral stands and guest tables? How much did you pay extra?
Am still thinking what colour roses to use. We have not discuss our decor with Eugene.

The bigger candles are for the VIP tables oni, the rest got candles but smaller if i am not wrong, i so fast forget liao ...

U havent went for food tasting yet? I tried 4 diff wines, 2 red and 2 white, if cant finish can bring hm.

When u discuss with Eugene u will get a better idea coz they have all the pixs for u to see.

Hello Josl, our food tasting is early Sept. They actually let you try your wine by the bottle and not by glass?

u gotta tell the coordinator then they will bring to the restaurant by the bottle loh, which they will charge they same price as the bot in the wedding dinner.

Or else u can always order and bring home to try, no need at the food tastin also can.

I didnt request. My coordinator suggested to give us those big candles. Maybe u can check with your coordinator instead. We dun use tealights candles in the ballroom. They were used at the reception area only.

Sure, I just emailed you the link. We didnt serve liquor during cocktail nor tasted the wine during food tasting.

i tot u wld choose ur table set up during the final discussion, together with all the flowers and decor.The candles is chosen by ur coordinator ?
Coz mine got a book of pics and i decide fr there which kind of decor to take.

Hi Joel,

Yes, my coordinator did showed us the book of pics. We chose the colour of the flowers &amp; the one with candles in the centre. Then, he suggested bigger candle so the whole centrepiece will look better. If I remember it well, the usual decor only comes with tealight candles.

just to confirm... if we're trying out 2-3 bottles of wines (i.e. a mixture of 2 red and 1 white) during the food tasting, we'll have a bill for 3 bottles when we end the dinner?

another Q. did FS offered you the canopy decor at the stage? if yes, how much was the extras $$$?

yups u will have a bill at the end for the wine even if u cant finish the wine u can bring it home.

The canopy stage is one of the decor, i choose the canopy, i think the other is the ice craving, no extra charge.

we tried santa digna and tyrell moore but preferred tyrell moore, for me i am not i wine drinker compare to my hubby.

As for the flowers, u can choose roses, orchids, etc. Initially, we wanted cymbidium but FS only gives orchids so we chose red roses in the end.

yeah roses look better, but when i went to a wedding show they had orchids, it was nice but that 1 gotta top up 1 compare to the normal decor.
