Hi fellow doggie lovers...
Just a qns.. do u all take doggie out for a walk at least once a day??
I was so shocked to hear from my colleague(the one with the newborn) that he seldom take his maltese for walk.. reason being that he dont want the dog to crave for going out everyday...
I tot taking them out for walk is a very basic thing?? Not to offend any of you, but i really wonder... how many dog lovers are actually doing things that the doggie enjoys???

I try to take Coalie out for walks at least a few times a week. During weekday, all of us are so tired after work liao. But luckily we have a doggie gathering every Friday at Punggol, so i always bring her there to meet her doggie friends. I also bring her for a morning walk every saturday after breakfast with my hubby

juz can't help noticing your maltese..sooo cute!
lala, regarding your question if everyone often brings their dogs for wok. sad to say, i dun tink so. alot of people i noe seldom bring their dogs for woks as they feel that the dog is small n haf enough room in the hse to run about n need no further excercise.
as for me, sad to say tat i dun own a dog but i luv my bf's dog & haf to admit we also seldom bring him out for woks as he go mad wen see other dogs. lucky he got a very big space to excercise at my bf's hse.

too pampered rite?? hehehe we just couldnt think of wat will she become if she will to step on an ANTS home!!! Heard from my friend that her poodle actually catch in a painful mess with very tiny ants biting her butt!!! very painful and unbearable for her dog lor... and after that incident she will be let her dog walk on grass anymore!

yupz, heard of the asd. they have alot of dogs under them that are still not adopted. Few of them are still puppies around 3mths-5mths. Hope that people who are looking for a pet will adopt them.

I will try to bring my gals out for walks as often and also to bring them for jogging
when the weather permits... they love going out... furthermore, one thing to note, if u r bringing ur dogs out for walks quite often, have to do protection on them..apply frontline to prevent ticks n fleas

Why u carry mango leh? It's not 100% that mango will get ants bite or ticks/fleas when u let her romp. Like that hor, aren't u depriving her of all the fun a dog shld have ? U know, they like to explore all the diff smells in the air, the grass, the trees etc left by other dogs
I think my coalie likes to roll on mud/puddles of water left by passing rain. She'll choose a nice puddle of water, & lie there .... my hubby was angry with her .... hahaha. .... but i wldn't mind, just let her have fun lor ... as long as not too dirty can liao

So i started to bring her to the parks more often & now she has better stamina already! Can run here, run there, jump here, jump there

i think yr hubby thinks the same as my hubby and me hehee and moreover Mango is white in colour lor, thats y we dun want to dirty her coat
if its those big park like bishan area kind, i dun mind letting her run ard in the big grass land, we just doesnt like to walk her along the road side where the trees along the road are mostly coated with ANTS.....

The other time she was playing with this corgi, they had so much fun roughing & tumbling around. By the time we go home, coalie's whole body was wet with saliva!

I agree with pegfur... i oso let my xiaobai go smell here smell there.. When my mil saw how i walk my dog..she was like"eee..dont let him step here".. i was so pissed off!!!
Btw more walks will help to harden the paw pads, which is good cos no so prone to cuts. And i dont think the condition of spore that bad rite?? If worry abt ants on the grass, then walk on pavement lor..

We do chasing and fetching of toys with her at home
her fav. excerise is running from my main door to my kitchen wall back and forth!
My mil always ask if we do let her walk on herself outside, when we told her no, she will say good, better dun let her walk, its so dirty outside

Forgot to answer you ... yeah, going ahead with the ops on 30 Apr. So poor coalie wld not be able to join my family for a swim at the beach liao ...
Eh, where got excited? I was more sim tiah than excited ah ... scared she'll feel painful everytime she moves .... My hubby more worried abt the ops leh ...

if possible, try not to let Mango wear the shoes too much....Walking barefooted will help to trim their nails n like wat lala had said......n not forgetting, u hv to wash her shoes...
Pegsfur, coalie gg for her Spay? Dun worry too much...during the 1st few days of her OP, u will feel heartpain but after the few days, she will start to jump n run around...1 thing is, u need to monitor her n not let her lick the wound....

Btw, pls let me vent my frustrations. Went shopping at this shop BYSI at marina sq just now. 1 sale staff was actively showing me clothes & asking me to try it on. Being the 'hiao chao boh' that I am, I agreed lor.
Upon trying the clothes, found some not suitable for me. Only 1 skirt was ok but was a little out of my budget. So when i came out of the fitting room & rejected the clothes, the sales staff asked why i din want the skirt cos it looked good on me. I just casually told her 'oh, it's a little expensive lah,' Guess what she said? She said "then you shld have looked at the price 1st b4 trying" I was so angry I retorted, "I wanted! But u wldn't let me cos u were shoving the clothes to me" To which I walked out of the store.
Few mins later, the more I thot of it, the angrier i get. I went back to the store to look for the sales staff, who was serving another customer. I told her "Well, next time u better ask your customer whether they have money to spend 1st b4 serving them!!!!" Grrrrrrrrr .....!!!

I mean, there's no reason for her to give that kind of remarks mah ... if she not happy, she can bitch behind my back when I'm gone. But she say that rite in my face leh ... how can i take it?
