Facing anulment, broken heart

I have been with my husband for 3 yrs before getting married for 6 mths during June this year.

Now my husband's telling me he married me out of responsibility and guilt because we had an abortion 6 mths before our marriage. Later i realised he's seeing someone. I cannot imagine how he could marry me when he has already known that girl. And all the things he's telling me like he doesn't love me anymore makes a feel like a fool to marry him. And now, we've only been married for less than a year, how am i going to break the news to my family this coming new year?

I can't believe this is happening to me, i can't help but still care for him. i have already moved back home. i thought i was strong, but now i realised i cannot stand up from this hard fall. Its all happening too fast and i just cant get over it. I need to take pills to put myself to sleep every night. Can anyone give me some advice? i want to let go.......i really want to...

no matter what u still need to break the news to ur family.i know its heart breaking to hear that but u still have to be strong n let them know the truth..i am sure they will be there 2 support n encourage u to walk thru this darkness..

u already know wats ur next step le..its jus that u need someone to hold n guide u thru it.

i am waiting for him to get a lawyer to anul the marriage, i told him i'll give him until march bec i know he has no money. he owes me debts for the credit cards which i've sup for him.. why am i giving him time?.. i know i;m holding on to something which i shouldn't, yet i still can't let go. Thinking that he's being possesed, thinking that he'll regret one day..........................................

Hi lost, sad to hear ur stories.hope tt u can be stronger..take gd care of urself. Perhaps,1 day,he would be sorry for wat he has done.

hi lost, u can be strong. I am sure he will regret one day, for the lost of you and the baby before. Judging from the matter that he married cos of responsibility and guilt, it could also be he still have feeling for you. No matter what it is going to happen in future, be strong and you are still young.

lost
seems u r in a dilemma.but i feel u r jus buying time and making urslf more miserable.but watever it is ,i hope the decision u make will lead u to the route which u will at least see some lights.

Lost, in the first place, if you both are getting married, why the need to abort the baby then? Sad to hear about this, please be strong and take good care of yourself. Have a good word with your husband and see if annulment is the best solution.

Lost, i think we are in the same dilemma. Let's move on together... Jia you no matter what the ending would be...

Look on the bright side, things might be saved if you could both worked together. Whatever the ending is, there is always a purpose. Perhaps you may find someone who love you more or you are happier being single again

I try to tell myself evryday when i wake up that i will try to be strong. I've stopped replying his msgs today, he msgs me things like take care and those normal msgs u'll send to a friend.

Things have just happened last 2 weeks. i wonder when he'll get a lawyer to settle this. And now i don't even know what i want, just hoping that i can pull thru strong and stand up from this hard fall.

i just want to live my life happier. I intended to get rid of our wedding bands so i can clear him off from my memory forever but something is holding me back.

Thanks to all of you for being supportive, this is really wat i need now, probably someone to share with me all the sorrows and somewhere i can spill out all my feelings and thoughts.

sometimes is rather hard if u depend on him to stop smsing u .. y dun u do some actions for yourself to prevent it from happening rather than waiting .

things like .. changing a number or using an block certain phone calls program if you are using a pda phone.

Hi lost,

It must be tough on you. Contrary to what some say, I feel you should not block him out just yet. And don't tell your family just yet.

You need to sit down and calmly ask yourself: Do you still love him? Can you forgive him for what he's done?

If you do, and if there is just that glimmer of hope in salvaging the marriage, then don't give up.

You didn't state much but I feel you should have a serious talk with your hubby. Tell him exactly how you feel.

A relationship is something that has to be built upon, on just on similarity of interests, but also differences. You need to find out what it is that he feels you are not suitable for him. Have you unconsciously neglected something he wants? Or is it really a lack of chemistry between the 2 of you?

Take the time to find ways to mend the marriage, instead of simply waiting for him to get a lawyer. Just as he decided to change his mind on staying with you, he might just realize his folly and decide to get together with you again. I hope.

I'm taking on a positive side of things that the damage between the 2 of you can be repaired, since I don't know the extent of the seriousness. I can't deny things may turn out so rosy, but I still think you deserve to work it out.

Be strong and hopefully you can find some people close to you for emotional support.

Hi lost..

I have jus passed my annulment stage and I can say...u can definitely move on if u want to..no need to find ways to get rid of ur wedding bands...jus have to pass it back to him and let him know that u r not for him to bully or fool ard...walk off gracefully and he will soon feel the pain...

Yes...it is a painful road to go...but if his heart is no longer with you...y hold on? Unless u can forgive and forget what he has done...else...u will not stop thinking even if u fall back into his arms..

Stay strong n i believe in future u will find a better one who will love u with all his heart...

hppyngel,

i'm happy for u to have gone thru this and have moved on strongly. True, i believe we don't need to depend on love to live. i've told myself my new year resolution and am prepared to move on with this new coming year. To stay strong and carry on with my life happily without him. i will not give him the chance to hurt me anymore with his lies..

Hi Davidchan,

He has already told me he thinks he loves her better than me, he has begged for my forgiveness the day i found out and i forgave him. But he told me he can't forget her and he loves her, what else can i say? i've tried to salvage the marriage by asking what went wrong and what else could i do to improve. But he just told me that it's just his change of heart. What else could i say? Worst thing is tmr is his bday. We were supposed to celebrate it but now i think there's no need to.

I know he's still young, has been with me since his army days till now, he's starting to have fun in life with a stable job now and that's what's caused the change in him. SInce he's already told me all these hurting truths, there's nothing much i can do now than wait for him to settle this.

i've thought it through these few days. there's no point in holding on anymore. i can't live everyday just waiting for him to call me or wait for him to return. I feel i have better things to do like concentrating on my career and studies. Since he's leading a happier life now without me, why should i feel so depressed everyday? i think it will only make him feel as if he's so great and that i cannot live without him.

i believe everyone has a past and it's up to yourself how to overcome it and move on. I'm really happy i found this forum, so i could share all my thoughts and get some useful advice...

only my parents know rite now.. my dad said don't let the matter out first.

i told him i'll give him till march to settle the anulment.so currently just waiting to see what he will do.

do u think i'm making the right move?

only u urslf know whether u have make the right move or not lo..he already told u straight le..i have been thru it but i have already stand up after the fall.

ya true.. if everyone can standup, why can't i? whenever i think of him, i remind myself of all the lies he said and all the shows he's been putting up in front of me and i tell myself i want to shut him out of my life and move on happily, and happier.

my appetite resumed, and i have changed the wedding rings away to stop myself from keeping all the unhappy memories with me.

i believe i will pull thru strong, and just concentrate on my career and studies now.

not yet.. listening to songs and playing games..

i hope to wake up happier tomorrow and each and every day.

My only aim now is to be an independant woman who do not need any man to survive. Get my diploma and driving license in 2009. =)

Hi Envyme,

Sorry to hear about this.
I pray that you have the mental strength & power to get over this as time goes by
I'm sure all wounds will heal,it's people attitude that determines they wanna move on ya..
Remember that it's a blessing to find out earlier than to be stuck in this situation for a longer duration.

Hope that you'll complete your diploma course and get your Class 3 licence soon.
Cheers

Hi Lost..

I believe u can do it...coz woman are not weaklings...i'm in the same shoe as u once...but i have pick myself up and walked out of the shadow...so i strongly believe u can do it...

Live a better life...2009 will be a better year!

Cheers to singlehood!

today is his birthday, i couldn't help but msged him a simple happy birthday. he replied in such a hostile manner, it spoiled my day.

he msged me and asked me how much was the bills for the sup card this month, i noe i should feel happy he wants to pay up the bills bec he's getting his 3 mths bonus, but i dunno why, instead i felt angry he was like acting so proud.

i guess he's happier now without me and the marriage as his burden. maybe he'll find a lawyer to anul the marriage soon. am i supposed to feel happy?

Dear hppyangel,

im curious to know how you got through this? Did he have a change of heart too? i can't help but think of all the lies he said and all the hurting words he said to me.

i hate him and i love him. why is that so...............i really want to walk out of this dark road. i need to be strong....

hi lost, i have a similar experience with u abt 4yrs back. i shld consider myself lucky tat we did not got married as wat we originally plan. i was heartbroken beyond words and did things which i never imagine myself to do. when he spoke to me, it was horrbly hostile. he avoided talking abt our marriage plan and house which we hv decided all of a sudden but he had no courage to tell me tat this r/s is over.

of cos i harbour hopes. high hopes. i was like u, for the 1st few mths, i kept sms-ing him, like to update him abt everything and did these daily tinking tat he will realize tat he can't live wo me.

boy, was i wrong. one fine day, he did something despicably cruel, and i finally woke up from my 'beautiful' dream and knew tat i lost him for gd. which also make me realized it is my fortune.

time will heal. tis is a very difficult moment for u now. be strong, be brave and in no time, u will be happier.

i am sure 2009 will be a better year for you.

Hi Lost,

Believe me, he is just a piece of shit...don't take him back and mess your life. You deserve someone much better. I have heard enough stories about such heartless and worthless men.

The reason why we are still holding on is because, we can't bear to let go. For such things, no one can really help you other than you yourself. He have left you with nothing, hence, please make sure you have some pride and proof him wrong. Be strong , be happy, it is his loss to miss a gem like you. Your real prince is waiting for you at a certain corner of the earth, but u just need to get rid of this piece of shit first.

Take care and may 2009 be a great but good turning point for you!!

i think these are exactly wad i'm doing now. i hope i can pull thru soon. did he have a change of heart too..why are relationships so fragile? when someone has changed, i guess, nothing will help. and i can feel from his smses that he's living happily and happier now. i realised that without me he seems happier. but today was a terrible day, bec it's his bday and i have booked a room at sentosa supposedly to celebrate, but now, it's been cancelled. i had a hard time passing my time today, i couldn't help but think what he would be doing and how he would be celebrating. i told myself i don wanna wish him happy bday, but till in the evening, i did it.i hate myself for doing that, bec i've caused myself more unhappiness by seeing the way he replied me with "Thanks."

hi lost, you will pull thru. definitely. u juz need a bit of time as u r still in shock, in denial.

no matter how hard u try, if the right palm simply refuses to meet the left palm, there will not be a single clap. not one.

i do agree tat r/s can be so fragile. tat is why, u hv to be strong. remember, he does not care and will not care even if something happen to u now. so do not tink suicidal. people change and circumstances change. u will walk out of tis as a stronger woman.

my biggest regret is losing my will and determination to keep my baby, bec i loved him too much, i listened to him and accpeted his reason for not being able to take up the responsibility of starting a family as he has just got his first stable job. i have regret from the day i aborted it till now. i wished it were with me now, no matter what it will be my motivation to me, it would be 3 mths old now if i have kept it. i killed my own baby, n he made me kill my baby.

lost - you asked how one in a similar situation (i.e. failed relationship/marriage) will get through it...

Recognise that all the emotions you feel will come and go. Focus on moving on and letting go. You have already posted earlier that there's no point in holding on.

Accept that you will feel a spectrum of emotions that range from self-pity, anger, hatred, relief, liberation etc. before you recover completely. Don't ill-treat yourself by thinking that you'd be fine overnight.

You will ask many 'Why's' which will have no answers at this point in time. So, why ponder over them now? Things will make sense to you one day when you are calmer and more at peace with yourself.

Learn to protect yourself with your actions. His replies to your smses will probably not be what you hope for. After a while, you'd get the hang of not contacting him.

Life without imperfections will be unreal. So, embrace this lesson in your life (which unfortunately can be hard and painful) and you'd definitely be able to walk out with dignity.

All the best for your resolutions for 2009!

ya..i have been telling myself to be strong and i am strong enough to move on. when i face everyone i just tell them i have given up hope on him. i am young, and i have my own life and i don't need to depend on him to survive.

some days i'm happy, and sometimes i suddenly become so emotional and i just feel like breaking down. every morning when i wake up i tell myself "i am happy today and will be happy today".

i hope i can really overcome all the mixed emotions and keep myself feeling happy and fresh everyday.

Just wondering when he'll get a lawyer to settle this. Once i signed the papers, everything will be over.

Dear Lyn,

i really hope i can. God will guide me thru this path and he will encourage me to be strong too. My tears are dried up, now, i just need to wait for my scar to heal. i hope i'll stop being so moody and the mood swings will go away to so i can concentrate on my studies.

Honestly it will take some time for yourself to get over it, so dont force yourself to be happy whenever you feel down. Talk to someone if you need to. Could be your family or colleague. Dont surpress all the unhappiness inside you and you will be more depressed.

You will get over it one day.

Dear Lost,

here's an article to share with you (and the rest here..)

http://gettingpastyourpast.wordpress.com/2007/08/10/810-tftd-on-self-discovery/#more-234

When The Person You Love Doesn’t Love You

It’s hard but it happens.

And it hurts.

You love someone who may have loved you once upon a time.

Or

You love someone who acted like there was a possibility of love in return, but now there’s not.

Or

You love someone who simply doesn’t feel the same way and isn’t going to feel the same way.

Ever.

Or

You loved someone deeply who loved you deeply and then this person just switched off and hurt you in ways that were unimaginable at the height of your mutual love.

Or

This person loved you and you loved them and then someone new came along and they left. Friends tell you that you are better than the new person in every way. But your ex is still with Mr. or Ms. New Thing.

Whatever the situation, you are left with a big pile of hurt. And it really hurts.

You go over your exchanges over and over in your mind. Where did it go wrong or fail to go right? What should you have done that you didn’t? What did you do that you shouldn’t have?

You feel rejected and less than. You feel as if there is something real wrong with you. You wonder what you could do to MAKE this person want you.

It’s frustrating if they are with a new person who doesn’t come close to being what you are. You seethe because this new person is a snake in the grass and your ex doesn’t see it. This new person is immature or unavailable or spoiled or just plain stupid. And your ex is enthralled none the less. What?

Or there is no one else and nothing else. This person just feels out of love one day. Or failed to fall in love on the say you did. That’s even more baffling. Wait. You’re choosing NOTHING over me? What?

Or your ex has spiraled into some other mindset. They are depressed or upset or self-absorbed in some way. Wouldn’t you want someone to help carry the burden, you ask.

The answer is please leave me alone.

You’re freaking out. How is it that they want you to help by going away? WHAT?

The first emotion is disbelief. How can this be? How did I get here?
How am I hurting over this person? Maybe your personality is draining away… you used to be fun and helpful and have a great sense of humor. Now you’re plain and dull and you’re boring all your friends with your sad refrain of unrequited love.

Part of you refuses to believe it. It CAN’T be so. Something will change. This is a phase. This is temporary. I’ll just sit here and wait for my love to smarten up and see the light. That is what I will do.

Better yet, I will change things. I will call him or her or text him or her. We will get into a big emotional conversation and I will persuade them that this is all wrong.

In the beginning, it’s hardest to NOT do anything. You’re having trouble absorbing the news and the reality and before you feel the feelings of that reality you’re going to do your damndest to make it different or refuse to believe it.

Take your time but believe it. Let it slowly sink in and try to do the hardest thing there is to do: Nothing. Doing nothing in a situation like this takes energy. It takes a lot of energy. You will think you spend all your time NOT doing something. And that’s because you are.

Next come the feelings. You feel hurt, anger, betrayal. You feel rejected and less than. Your self-esteem is taking a hit from the feeling of rejection.

You might feel like a loser and begin to wonder how you transform yourself into the person that this person will love.

Your mind may race with ideas. I’ll be quieter, thinner, and happier. I won’t complain so much. I won’t rock the boat. I will like the insufferable family and friends that I couldn’t stand. I will go back to school. I will stop going to allergy shots so I can be around that cat. I will work in a different industry. I will muzzle my kids. I will clean more. I will clean less. I will cook gourmet meals. I will listen when spoken to. I will go to bed earlier. I will go to bed later. I will go to church. I will stop going to church. I will pray. I will bargain with God. I will help the poor. I will devote myself to the eradication of world hunger. I will give my next paycheck to the church. I will join Peace Corps. I will do anything, ANYTHING, if only You make this person come back. I will be everything You want me to be or everything this person wants me to be. I will do it all. I will do nothing. I will be more. I will be less. I will be everything and anything other than what I am being right now. I will turn myself inside out to be the person he or she will love. I can do it. I will do it.

STOP.

Stop right there. Forget about bargaining for what you should have without bribing whatever deity you believe in. forget about changing your whole life just so this narrow-minded little bonehead will love you. FORGET IT.

Every relationship is a learning experience. We learn what parts of us could use improvement. But not because this person found them unattractive or irritating but because YOU found them unattractive or irritating.

What did you do in this relationship or around this person (if you weren’t in a relationship) that could improve? Think about it. Journal about it. Think about ways to change it. But DON’T change things in yourself just because this person didn’t like it. Maybe this person has no taste or doesn’t know a thing. Don’t think of changing for another person. Only change for you. It’s OKAY to accept someone’s constructive criticism if it’s spot on and will help you in the end, but if not, just REJECT IT.

When you are leaving a relationship where someone doesn’t love you anymore or failing to move further in a relationship because someone wont or cant love you or not getting into a relationship because someone wont or cant love you or not getting into a relationship because someone isn’t attracted to you, there is a HIT to the self-esteem. It’s a rejection no matter how you slice it. And it’s a rejection that stings.

The first thing you need to do is to take it in stride. Easier said than done? Yes. Everything is easier said than done so that phrase is meaningless.

Taking it in stride means telling yourself that you are okay no matter what. Yes, there might be things that need improvement but it is a lovable, worthwhile person who is willing to look at those things and change them. And if this person does not value all that you are and all that you can be there is only one sentiment to go in that direction: THE HELL WITH THEM.

Seriously.

It is time to REJECT THE REJECTER, and his or her ridiculous standards of measurement. Perhaps this person doesn’t know what he or she is losing. Perhaps this person has NO IDEA how worthwhile you are and what value you can add to their life.

That is their problem, not yours. You don’t want anyone who doesn’t think you are the end-all, be-all of lovers. You just don’t want them. They are stuck in some goopy substance that does not allow them to move off their position and see how great you are. That is their problem and their loss.

You have to see that the rejecter should be rejected. Do you want someone without vision? Without appreciation of all that you are and all that you can be? No, you do not. You want someone who loves you and thinks you are the best thing that ever happened to them. If this person doesn’t get that, then the hell with this person.
Stop talking to him or her. Stop trying to convince them otherwise.
Stop waiting around for him or her to “get it”. The hell with anyone who doesn’t get it.

Or another possibility is that this person does recognize your value and how great you are but they are not in a aplce where they can be in a relationship. Maybe they’re not over their previous relationship.
Maybe their life choices (home, job, school) are up in the air. Maybe it’s not about you in any way. It still hurts but this is something you can’t change. Even if you think that if the shoe was on the other foot YOU wouldn’t let such a catch get away, it doesn’t work that way for everyone. Some people simply can’t get there from here. Let them be. It’s not the right time and there’s nothing you can do about it. Gently let it go. It’s hard and it hurts but gently let it go.

The bottom line is that you do not want someone who doesn’t want you. That hurts and that stings. And that is not what love is all about. Don’t sit around waiting for this person to want you. Reject anyone who doesn’t want you. They are not worth it. The first prerequisite for love is to be mutual. Otherwise it’s not okay. Reject the rejecter.

Stephen Levine once said, “The road is hard. Love softens it.”

Requited love, mutual love, real love softens it.

And until that love comes from a romantic partner who values you and sees how wonderful you are, get that love from family, friends and YOURSELF. You MUST be good to yourself as you move on from someone who does not value you enough to want an exclusive, romantic relationship with you.

Because who knows what (or who) you are missing as you roll around in the mud with this numbskull. Get on with your life and become the person you always wanted to be.

GET READY for true love, real love, lasting love. Get ready for a relationship with yourself and THEN a relationship with a loving and appreciative person who WILL come into your life once you learn to value YOU> and you start valuing you by rejecting the rejection and the rejecter. The hell with it.

Be good to yourself. Today and always. In a relationship or out of a relationship. Be good to you.

Do your affirmations.

Tell yourself that mr. or ms. Right is OUT THERE and he or she will value you for the person you are. In the meantime work on whatever needs working on. Have your feelings…let them out…write about them, talk about them but allow yourself the feelings. Don’t contact this person who does not value you. Be grateful it did not go any further. Be glad you are letting go of someone who doesn’t value you. Their presence will not soften the hard road. Their presence will just make things harder and THAT IS NOT WHAT WE WANT IN A PARTNER.

In a partner we want someone to share life’s sorrows and joys. We want someone who is there day in and day out. If this person can’t handle us without a big problem in our lives, why would we think they could handle this? They can’t.

Let them go and hold on and hold out for someone who loves you for you. There IS that person out there. MR. or MS. Right will never question your value. Will never not love you unconditionally. If this person has rejected you in some way, he or she is NOT the one for you.

You might think this person is perfect in every way. No this person is not. Because this person doesn’t WANT you and the person who is perfect will want you. Not wanting you and not appreciating you and the value you bring to someone’s life is NOT a little thing. It’s a big thing. And if this person doesn’t love you and doesn’t want you and doesn’t appreciate you, then they are not perfect and their flaw is a fatal flaw and you need to reject the rejecter. You must.

If you are trying to ‘win’ in some way, ask yourself why? Does this go back to childhood? Are you trying to win over a cold and rejecting parent or caretaker? Are you trying to prove your self-worth by showing the world that someone else wants you?

Don’t.

Journal about the things you are trying to ‘win’ over. Journal about how locked into this struggle you are. Is it really about this person and this period in time or does it go way way way back? Stop re-injuring yourself. Reject this rejecter and every rejecter that came before. Do your affirmations. Know that you are worth it. The hell with all the rejecters.

Even if you love this person, this person does not love you…and the person for you will love you. Deeply and Completely.
It exists.

It happens.

It is possible.

In the meantime, you MUST MUST MUST be good to yourself and know your value and understand your value and get your value from inside you and not outside.

Be good to yourself.

Move on from rejection. Feel your feelings. Reject the rejecter.

Celebrate the you that is you.

And know that the right person for you is out there.

Lost...

Its indeed a tough road to go...my story has lots of twisting point till i am sick to entertain it further...one moment 3rd party...next moment life and death...dunno which is true...

Luckily i have a grp of good frenz and family members...they have let me seen light and brought me out of misery...of coz i must be able to accept in order to walk out...

It took me 3 mths to accept the fact tat he is no the one i'm looking for...now...after 11 mths...i can proudly tell u...i'm off tat boat...n enjoyin my life...

i'm tired of seeing him putting up shows and tired of all his acts.everything he says now doesn't seem real anymore from the day i found out he was seeing someone. bec all the lies that he told me before all came true.

he is the one who taught me how to trust 3 yrs back. i didn't trust men and he told me we needed mutual trust to be happy together. he told me he hated me when i don't trust me the last time we were quarelling and he was with that girl and i suspected he. lying through his teeth.

he is also the one who taught how betrayal was like. in short, he's a bastard.

and what everyone said here was right. i shouldn't change my life bec of a bastard, neither should i feel depressed bec of a bastard.

i'm lucky to be able to get free from all his shows and lies now than later. i'm lucky to have found out early.

he will not be the man i want to spend my whole life with as my husband, he is one who lies through his teeth and deserves the best actor award.

i will move on. let 2009 bring me forward to a better year and throw all the troubles, sorrows of 2008 away....=)

Hi lost,

warm hugz to u and happy 2009!

I don't normally use strong words in a public forum but yes, your present hubby is a jerk. He pretends to be gentlemanly but turns around when there is another gal in his life. Good luck to that gal.

I know I'm stereotyping here but it sounds like there is something he wants from that gal which you sorely cannot provide. An immediate guess is that she is prettier or sexier than you. If not, then perhaps he shares more personal interests with her than with you.

Is he really young? He sounds like. Seems to me he's far from settled down. The marriage with you was all a farce. It happened, but realistically, it was unreal. Forced. Wrong.

It looks to me that the whole thing is not going anywhere for you. If you do choose to divorce him, don't feel any more sympathy for him. I believe there will be a better guy out there for you. I presume you are still young. Don't give up. You certainly need to move on from this.

Divroce is not an easy thing to go through. You will need to set aside a good sum of money to settle it. And it might take a while for you to get over the emotional scarring.

But no matter what, I hope you will get out of the emotional/financial burden sooner. Stay positive and look forward to creating a better life for yourself.

You can do it!

pink cloud - The article damn long but thanks for sharing. Some of it made a lot of sense and part of it reinforced what I believe in.

david - Out of curiosity, have you not seen men/women who behave way below their actual age or above? To me, age and maturity never correlate. Maturity has alot to do with experiences and mindsets. But of course, this is for pure discussion and of no relevance to the TS's situation.

lost - From what you shared, he sounds like the husband I am currently separated from. You probably hate him for breaking down all your defenses years ago, finally trusting him and only to be betrayed. You probably feel sorry for yourself and think that he's evil and scheming.

Eventually, I came to realise that sometimes, the more a person seems to fear being betrayed, the more often he/she is capable of betraying. It has to do insecurity. I used to think that because he feared being betrayed, he will never do it to me. I was wrong. These are all learning points from the experience that will make you a better person in general.

You are right to say that you are lucky to have found all these out early. And no lar, your husband does not deserve 'Best Actor' award. If he was that good, you will never find out.

Work hard on not letting the anger consume you. Otherwise, you will not have the energy to lead a better life.

Yes, we are young, we've been together since 21 and married at 24. I've seen and supported him through his very first job, from a pay as low as 1k plus a month to now, at least a little better. I've stood by him thru rain and shine and never once looked down on him in terms of his academic achievements or career even though his salary was lower than mine.

i took care of him from head to toe, from his shirts to cuff links to socks and everything. For our wedding, i even came up with more money as i know he his pay was only enough for himself, petrol and the car installments every month.i never once calculated anyone of these with him. When i got my frst credit card, with no second thoughts, i went to sup a card for him, even his mum refused to sup him a card and to think back now, he was already seeing someone at that time. i was such a fool.

I'm waiting for him to settle the divorce because he is the one who wants it now, so my parents told me, i'm not going to pay and they are not as well for the lawyer fees.

During our 2nd year together, i decided to take up my part time course in HR. And i'm happy i did that, because at least now i know, i have my own aims in life and i'm lucky that even that i've lost LOVE in my life now, i still have many tings to live for, and most importantly, i do not rely on him to live.

i've learnt from this lesson that the most important thing a woman must have, is to have the ability to survive on her own, not relying on anybody.
