Does number of tables given to bride side includes VIP tables?

Hi,

I'm having a problem now. My parents in law originally asked for 8 tables, and I understood it to be including the VIP table(i.e. 1 VIP table + 7 extra tables). However, now my parents in law are saying that it is excluding the VIP table(i.e. 1 VIP tables + 8 extra tables).

I'm wondering what the norm is? All my initial table planning was done on the assumption that the 8 tables included VIP tables...

does 1 table actually matter? Just invite 10lessor 10more pax loh

If it's up to us, it would be easy. However the problem stems from our parents...so I have to manage them.
