Dear all, i wil b having my wedding on 30 dec 2010.
Am looking at Orchard Concorde Hotel due to its attractive price. Anyone attended wedding there before? Will appreciate if someone can share the experience and food quality with me.
I like Carlton but is rather exp.
Appreciate the help and feedback, thanks!
 


Hi seems like nobody had their solemnisation at concorde...mine is on 21 mar 2011...hoping to see some reviews.. :P
 
Hey SaMartina, it'll be great if u can post reviews after your solemnisation in march. Are u gonna have banquet dinner with concorde as well?

Hi Lyn... Last sat sign up the package for solemnisation and banquet...hope all goes well .... The ballroom and function room looks great to me...ya.. Will post reviews after my solemnisation.. U are considering Concorde??
 
Yes, Concorde is one of e shortlisted hotel for both solemnization & banquet. As it's pillarless ballroom & conveniently located. Advance congrats to ur upcoming wedding! ;)
 
i also recently signed up with concorde for my banquet on feb 2012 (my solemnization will be at grand copthorne waterfront this feb).the gd news is if u are holding in end 2011 to 2012, they will be renovating their ballroom.i was shortlisting concorde n orchard n i chose concorde coz orchard hotel alr had the bigger ballroom booked on my date and they only have the smaller one to offer(so i dun really wanna share the foyer with the other couple).furthermore,the lady who liased with us for orchard hotel was rather rigid.concorde's ballroom is spacious and pillarless.furthermore, they have lcd monitors for u to display ur bridal photos.there are some perks tt they could offer that orchard hotel cannot match for us as well.hope this helps :D

I am planning to sign up for either concorde or Orchard Hotel too but Orchard hotel was fully booked for my date on 3 Mar 2012...

25 Feb was a good date!!! a lots of hotel are booked.

My guest are very happy of the food.. even the Ee mee which alot of guest don like are superb happy of the food.

Hi hi,

Any grooms/brides who have held their wedding at Concorde would like to share their experience and comment on the services provided as well as the foods for their banquets at Concorde?

Planning to meet the sales manager this week to book my banquet in Dec 2013.
 
I'm a 2015 BTB and have shortlisted Concorde and M hotel for a weekend wedding lunch.

Can anyone share with me their experience with Concorde hotel? As I can't seemed to find more recent reviews/ feedback on Concorde Hotel..
 
I went to visit their wedding fair, and it seemed like a decent place for the price. Although the facade is a bit old, the inside has a old-world charm to it... and it's in a good location. Haven't actually had a wedding yet though.

What attracts you to both these hotels?

I recently booked my Lunch banquet with Concorde too :)

I love their ballroom! Pillarless and high ceiling. Location is a plus too! (Inbtwn dhoby ghaut and Somerset mrt). Pricing was affordable for a hotel in orchard. My coordinator - Valerie was very friendly and helpful too! Oh! And the no. Of tables I had was enough to hit their min!

So, yup. Concorde for me!

I think its pretty much because some ppl find this hotel v sleazy with all the massage shops around. Hahahaha. And plus the hotel exterior doesnt look grand enough? :/ OR.. some have no idea where/what is concorde hotel (my friends are a living example hahahaha)

But i still love it :)

Nope, I didn't.. we made appointment with the hotel coordinator straight.. mine is Saturday dinner..

i had a company D&D there back in 2011 and i can't rmb whether was the food v fantastic but im sure i had no issues with it. hahahaha.
my AD is in May 2015... so same like skyMAN and Lemons, can only give review after that. :p

I am going down for their wedding showcase and hope that I can get some good perks. I am doing a luncheon as I don't think that I can meet their requirement tables for dinner. What is the minimum for dinner? How many tables are you taking? :)

I have walked passed Concorde many times and I think the exterior very "not like hotel look". But I heard ppl said the ballroom is nice and from the picture, hence decided to go see, hope it's a hidden gem... Lol..

This i agree with u lol! Lucky now they have the escalator along the main pathway connecting straight to the hotel lobby :p

I think the minimum was 30 or 35.. we're going for the maximum.. should be about 42-44..

My SO is concerned about the shops near the ballroom.. Wonder will guests thinks that it's more like shopping centre rather than a hotel.. Lol.. Yours is Saturday or Sunday luncheon?

Ahhh. I used to have the same impression of the hotel as well due to all the shops. Kinda felt like they were quite sleazy... but after having my d&d and then deciding to book concorde for my banquet, it didnt really affect me much already :p

Mine is sunday luncheon! :)

My theme not confirmed yet! :p i went down to the wedding show in May and saw a few themes... one of it caught my eye but am waiting to see if there's any new upcoming ones :p
When is ur appointment with them? Or you're gonna walk in?

Hi Traciee,

Concorde has a wedding show this year May 2014? I am going down next weekend 15/11 as they have a wedding showcase and will show some of themes. Did you book at package at their last wedding show since you mentioned you went to their wedding fair in May? Can share your package? Like barrels of beer or wine? Additional night stay? Thks. :)

Yeap! I signed up before the wedding show so i just dropped by to kpo kpo n take a look at the actual themes n settings :p but the coordinator gave me the exact same perks as the wedding show.

I got 2 barrels of beer, 1 bottle of wine each and no additional stay. Additional stay only applicable for dinner! :)

Yes, I was told the same perks too. But they throw in one day use room for me too to put my barang barang. I am happy that the perks are good enough. But no cash rebates. :( Are you going to do soleminsation there as well? I wonder if they have nice wedding favours... Heehee... Are you going to engage any photobooth? Thks. :)

Yeap! Got free day use room :D good for the helpers to put their stuffs or to rest awhile or sth :))

Was supposed to do my solemnisation there but last min change date so i will be doing just the tea ceremony there :)) function room provided too! And their function room is just smack beside the ballroom!

Yup! Have alr engaged! checked with my coordinator Valerie and she told me there's power socket and a space enough for them.

U got ur other services booked alr? (Bridal studio, AD Photographer etc)

I am only searching for venue as for now. But will be going down to my bridal rooms and Rico Mona for the gowns this coming weekend after the wedding show case at Concorde Hotel. (Hopefully have time). As for photographer for AD, I have no idea! Lol.. Video, I don't think I want lah. It's ok. Am looking through internet to see how to do a good montage on my own! Lol.. :)

Ours pretty much the same!! :) i just did my ps gown fitting yesterday... ps scheduled in Jan. AD Photographer got a freelance guy (& i love his works!!) Videographer not getting cause i not doing gatecrash... montage doing my own too! Alr found the software so gonna start digging out photos by this year! Gonna be busy!

Animoto! Yup need pay... cause i think its worth the money (the effects are SO GOOD) and i dun mind forking this money instead of paying for someone to do it. Only issue is i dun have 'professional advice' on how the sequence flow is like. Hahahaha. So need look around on the net!
 


Anyone reviews on the food and service there? Has anyone attended wedding banquet there recently? Thanks!
