I have to concur with you on this. Acting dumb can help to get oneself out of trouble in most instances in my company cos you can't fault someone for being dumb. You can only fault someone for being lazy.
 
ya lor, it might help one to siam an impending piece of shit, but must be skillful at implementation as well. Or else, likely to kena more shit on the face.

My co is more "humane" in that sense. They won't fault anybody for being dumb cos if they were to blame, they can only blame whoever that hires this person. So overhere, if you are dumb, then the rest of the people will just have to be tolerant and give that fellow more time to grasp the concept and do the job.

But not very difficult to act dumb right? Just have to constantly and consistently put up a blur and lost look can liao... but must be careful during times like this cos if carried out to the extreme may be detrimental cos it is an employers' market right now.
