BTO Punggol Waterway Brooks

Was reading through everything under the sun and decided to start this thread for possibility of making friends with neighbours even before we move in... and of course to share wedding experiences (e.g. AD after receiving keys of flat, ROM plans before flat is ready)...

For myself, I'm planning ROM in 2014 and AD to be confirmed... still looking around for bridals becos i am so indecisive... actually went to 3 bridals already... hoping to settle at least bridal by this year...

Hope you don't mind me hijacking ur thread. :) how's ur wedding plans going? I was initially planning for AD in Sep 14 too but then long story, am alrdy married now. :D
 
of course ii dont mind... hahaha... just finished my exams... dont really have time to continue my bridal sourcing but yeah... more or less ii guess will settle down with Digio...
 
oh, congrats! graduating soon? have u decided on ur AD dates already? Saw from mags Digio's gowns are quite nice... my close friend signed up with them for her AD :)
 
hmmm not soon... just started actually... am taking ACCA... this is only 3/14 papers to take... we havent decide on AD dates yet... everything also have start settling yet... hahaha

Not doing your AD and ROM together?
 
oic... but if both together, there's actually not much to spend for ROM depending on the way you plan it? :)

Any idea on how your ROM is going to be like? private small event or bigger scale etc?
 
will be a private small event... couldnt do AD tgt becos haven got enough savings yet... have to ROM first in case flat is ready before expected date... which always happens... hahaha
 
Icic... AD can be costly but part of it can be covered in terms of banquet? You just need to set aside a pool of funds in case unable to cover entirely...
Anyway, it's better to be financially sufficient still. Lesser worries too!

Hmm, yes, usually flat will be ready 1 yr before the Estimated completion date when first applied... Do you remember when was brooks supposed to be ready?
 
supposedly third quarter 2016... but logged in to hdb website and it shows estimated completion 3rd quarter 2015... so ii guess its in between these 3 periods... hahahaha...

yeah htb and ii want to maintain sufficient pool of cash becos we dont want to end up worrying abt not having enough to settle the banquet... "in case we dont recover majority" becos ii think its unexpectable...
 
icic, same. when I applied for ridges, it's 2Q of 16. now it's 2Q of 15. So best be happily married by 15 to play safe... haha.

Yeah, agree with you guys. Especially when flat is coming then more funds is needed for the house!! it's really beyond our control on the banquet expenses.
I still remember I was super worried about finances the month before my wedding... haha
 
wedding nowadays are so expensive... not to say sometimes the folks don't understand ...

I'm not from anywhere near u guys..but u can submit ur ROM certificates to HDB later than the stipulated dates just by writing in..I only submit my more than 9months after I gotten my keys. They are okay with it as long u show them some receipts of proof that u will be having ur wedding on a later date.

Oh... that's quite fast..

mine still building slow steady manner. progression expected to complete by 2Q 15. Banks should be topping off first early next yr.

it's not near the LRT... which LRT? Oasis also? or the one further down?
 
oic.. then that's not too bad either.. ridges still got to cross the 'longkang' and a patch of grass to the LRT.

we didn't really choose punggol base on location. it was more of a try our luck and got it kind of thing.. how bout you?
 
i mean y u will choose punggol bto instead of others :)
for me is near my in laws place at sengkang . and also trying our luck to see and get it or not. cause i see the area nad design of flats for woodcress like not bad :)
 
oh. at the time of application, i think the other btos not so appealing.
and the estates i preferred are all sky high cost... so we just pick and try our luck..

chose ridges because it has balcony. we need the extra space for our dogs.. :D
 
woodcress is supposedly ready earlier than brooks right? ii remember they were in the same BTO which means that when we get the queue can choose brooks or woodcress... ii didnt choose woodcress becos ii dont like green... LOL
 
New BTO along the waterway.. just launched yesterday.. waterway view...

so in short, it's call.. view.
