Bed setting

Hi all,

my wedding is coming soon in 3mths time, would like to ask if it is necessary to have the bed setting? My hubby n his parents have been staying with relatives and no house of their own. Our own BTO will be ready next year. So we will be staying at my parents place aft wedding.

Am wondering if can do the bed setting in the hotel room since my hubby n his parents are going to.check in on eve of wedding. We wont be returning home until 2 days later.

In a similar situation as you. Right now, we are either going to rent or stay my hse. If it is at my hse, I was thinking to do the bed setting in my room as we will be buying a new bed.
Not sure if that's okay, but was thinking that the process of bed setting symbolizes a blissful marriage, abundance of fortune and offspring for the couple as well as good health.
Since we will be sleeping there for at least a few months. Should be that bed bah.

My bed setting was done in my room as we will be staying at my house after marriage until our new house is really in 2 years' time. The bed setting should be done in the room where both of you will be staying after marriage, even if it's temporary until your new abode is ready.

There are couples who choose to do away with bed setting. So depends on both of you and both side of parents to decide whether to have one.

Hi, thanks foe replying, well i guess there are some changes now. Maybe we dont even have to think where to do bed setting, wedding might be called off. Instead of previous agreement we hsd to live with my parents temporary, He insisted on renting whole unit. hdb, which is way off budget. Dont understand why guys just dont think and all they think is their ego.

Hmmm, is not easy to live with in laws, regardless of how easy-going both parties are. For me, living with my parents will be the last resort. If just renting for a few mths, still able to afford, can consider bah.
We both to list down what will be the inconvenience for him(htb), and my family, and weighs is that amt of money worth the "unhappiness".
