Bad service at Chip Lee Chong Pang branch

My SDJ was bought at CLCP on 6 June 2013 and my HTB bought a gold ring from them on the same day.

Yesterday, my HTB and I went to downsize my HTB’s gold ring as it is getting a little loose for him.
A male staff serving us then told us that downsizing will require a fee because the grace period of 14 days have passed. I told him that none of their staff told us that such rule applies and guess what he replied, "oh, we usually don’t tell customer that (after 14 days you have to pay for alteration)". Oh, so you don't tell customers and expect us to know?! I am totally amazed by his answer!

It seems like after sales service is not important to them. The policy is not even written behind their invoice, if we had known that it exists, we would have sent it for downsizing 3 DAYS EARLIER to avoid the extra fee. Makes me really pissed with that particular staff, his TOO BAD FOR YOU, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT attitude was really rude!! We will never be their returning customers, especially not that branch! To think that they were actually quite accommodating during our purchasing time, what a disappointment!

Anyway previously we also brought two rings (not bought from them) for them to alter (ring size only) in which they charged us $90/-. Just want to check if the amount is considered normal or expensive?
 
I have yet to come across such a scenario... try giving them a call to speak to their manager or something? Hope everything works out well!
