Anyone have recommendation for wedding cupcakes?~~

I had a bad experience with Canele Patisserie. I loved their old-fashioned cake but it was too expensive. So I asked for a smaller version and they agreed to $450. Then just when I was about to order, they said they need 50% surcharge for X'mas period! Talk about being unprofessional!

I ordered my wedding cupcake tier from simply cakes for my upcoming wedding in Oct. hehehe... Would say that service is quite prompt so far. Recommended!!! hehee... Cant wait to see my cupcake tier in Oct

Some wedding cakes & cupcakes websites I know of..

1) Sweetest Moments
I think their prices are very reasonable and a variety of designs. From $148, you can have a cupcake tree (One 6" cake & 40 cupcakes). However, they don't provide setup.

2) SimplyCakes Singapore
Their prices are reasonable too. 6cm cupcake at $3 each, designs can be customised. They are able to provide delivery & setup (inclusive of decor) with additional charges.
I chose this as it's convenient for me since setup can be arranged.

3) Freshbakes / PerfectFrosting

4) 1-Caramel
Price will be higher but you are paying for the yummy and great looking cakes!

5) Pine Garden
They specialise in wedding cakes, using fresh cream yet able to create beautiful tasty cakes.

If you don't want to compromise on quality and really impress your guests there is only one real option for excellent quality cupcakes, Swirls Bake Shop is a gourmet cupcake bakery which I only discoverd last week! I've already decided to use them for the big day, have asked them to do red velvet cupcakes (delicious!) with little red hearts on top.. can't wait! They also will do the delivery of the cupcakes to the venue and set it up... their website is http://www.swirls.com.sg/

My personal favorites are Onicupcakes as the owner uses only fresh fruit puree for the fillings and cream, and Cupcakes with Love - try their green tea, cranberry and red velvet cupcakes. 7th Manna is located close to Cupcakes with Love. Drop by all three for a taste test =)

ya i tried annie's red velvet cupcakes at lescupcakes. really quite.generous frosting.she tinted cream cheese sweet pink very beautiful.

Hi Mirabelle, thanks for the lead!

After seeing your post, I went to research a little about smoulder and realised they are actually quite close to where I work.

I managed to speak with to one of their partners and they do cater for weddings!

Some customisation can also be done to their cakes, but you will need to speak with their owner. Peter or something...

Try their white chocolate lemon, it's really yummy and tangy! ;) Will seriously consider using them. Think cupcakes are a little too common and personally, I don't really like cupcakes. :p

Thanks Patricia! Can send me the link to their website or contact? My HTB is a huge fan of lava cakes and I'm sure he will love having this at the reception!

Hi Mirabelle, they are located at China Square Food Centre, Telok Ayer Street. I had the hardest time looking for them, cause I thought they were at China Square Central! But it was all worth the while! Their cakes are reaally gooood! Very flavourful, chocolatey, colourful and dainty, all at the same time! And the best part? They really ooze out! :D

This is their facebook page:

I tried their Signature Dark Chocolate, Lemon, Black Forest (Oooo...) and Raspberry. The Blackforest had an entire alcohol-filled cherry in the middle! Never know lava cakes can be so exciting.

When is your big day?

Congrats btw! ;) Oh, and my HTB loved the cakes too! Think we will sample the rest of the flavours and should be using them for our reception.

@Patricia. thanks for the tippppsss!! i dropped them a call today and have scheduled an appointment for this saturday. apparently they are willing to do some customisation too. will post update soon.

sorry for the late update but was overwhelmed with work..

as mentioned we had popped by smoulder last saturday to try out their cakes....they tasted amazing!! it's the first time we have seen molten chocolate lava cakes in so many flavours.. and in such bite-size pieces! we thought these will be perfect for a wedding reception.. the package that we settled on works out to be quite a good value too! considering the prices quoted for cupcakes.

most importantly, we think our guests will be pleasantly surprised at our reception!!

For sharing.....suitable for parties/special occasion. Cakes in a dessert cup, very presentable and nice.

My gf ordered a customization National Day theme and looks very nice. They have 8 flavors but they do customization too. i heard they do the "cake lollipop" too.
