Anybody have any great places in taiwan to recommend?

in this month simply her mag, where diana ser is on the cover, got a small section talking abt south of taiwan and the places worth to visit

The Grand Hotel at northern side of Taipei is a rather spectacular and unusual hotel to stay in (I did on my first Taiwan visit in 82).

In Taipei itself, very intersting and intricately designed temples - Lung Shan Temple near Snake Alley (Huashi), Pao An Temple, Confucious Temple.

Taipei 101 recommended - not a great-looking building from a distance IMHO, but great ambience up close

I've only been to Taipei, and that was some years ago now. The Palace Museum is an absolute must-see. I spent most of a day there.

I spent some fascinating time at the jade market. At the time, it was temporary tables set up under a freeway overpass. No one really spoke any English there. Indeed, relatively few people in Taipei spoke English. I expect that has changed.

I've heard the countryside is really beautiful, so I'll be interested in your report.

hi anyone stay in any conveniently located taipei hotel-near to xi men ding? Can recommend? I have 2kids with me. If can cook even better.

The Awesome Lodge on north facet connected with Taipei is often a rather breathtaking and unusual inn to stay in.

Throughout Taipei alone, incredibly intersting and intricately developed wats or temples Lung Shan Temple next to Snake Alley, Pao A great Temple, Confucious Temple.
