Hi Ladies,

I need help!!Got a low budget and need to get something done to my hair fast...did rebonding once but the stylist who did it for me last time doen not do it anymore...now i m contemplating between a ceramic perm or to rebond again but only have a budget of less than $150 and i have very long hair...any recommendations???!!!
 
AIs: Yess salon at Orchard Cineleisure. u look for Gary. his rebond @ $135 at all length... u say carole intro.. he knows me cos personal friend cum stylist. his rebond is good, and u wont get to see horrible ends when the hair starts to grow

went to cut my hair at shunji yesterday. not veri pleased wif their service. spent abt $550++. I cut my hair from bra-line to under ear. though i requested for a japanese look, the stylist didnt give me one. in the end i requested to do a perm at the ends so that it look more japanese. their service not veri personalised. the stylist always run here & there to serve diff customers. at first they ask me whether i wan tea & i said yes. but when my colour is done & doing treatment, my tea has not even been served. i paid so much & this is the service tat i get! when doing the treatment for my colour, the water from my hair start to drip down my neck. thot its suppose to be tat way, when i ask the assistant, she apologise to me. i told myself tat i'll try them for a second time when my hair is longer. hopefully by that time, they're not so busy & will provide me with better service!

I second that, My rebonding was done by Gary too. He is a very experienced stylist. Nice guy too. I used to patronise his services when he was at the Raffles place outlet.

I amnot sure about the number. Perhaps you can check the directory for YESS salon. They have branches at Cineleisure and Raffles Place. I am not sure where is Gary stationed now.

I prefer those hair stylist do all the chores, Wash, blow, cut etc.. not asking Xiao Mei to do.

Came across a street pamphlet about Mine's Salon, was tempted to try their ceramic perm, hair getting a little straight some 4 mths from last one. Looks like they use L'oreal products and price quite reasonable.. Anyone tried their ceramic perm?
 
Read about Andrew from Top Image on this forum and decided to try him out yesterday. I must say I was really impressed with his cutting style and gentle demeanor. I really liked what he did to my hair. Previously, my hairstyle was simply boring - no volume, limp and thick. After Andrew did his magic, my hairstyle is now modern and stylish. For $29 (cut + wash), the trip was definitely worth it.

While waiting for him, I noticed a lot of newspaper cuttings on the awards that he has won over the years. He is definitely a master of his craft.

For those interested, Top Image's tel. no. is 6455-6178 (across from Ang Mo Kio MRT). Highly recommended.

I recommend kevin from reds hairdressing @ tampines. I was quite sceptical when my fren introduced me to this stylist. As I have heard that Reds can be quite expensive & have also heard a fair bit of bad experiences from pple ard me.

But the stylist turn out to be really good. He is attentive and he shows that he is genuinely interested in making you look good. And the best thing is that its really not that expensive. The price is quite reasonable. I have been with this stylist for 3 years now... and I must say that he does not fail to impress me. I don't have those problems where you stick to a stylist for too long and end up getting the same hair cut.

I have recommended many of my friends & family and they too like the service they are getting. Try to call for appt if you gals want to go try out. He is usually quite fully booked on wkends, and he sometimes go out on location shoots.

i juz went for a haircut by andrew, cost me $25 for cut n rinse.

I also got thick n pomp hair so he layered my hair. Now my hair becomes so thin and i'm not used to it....IMO, my new hair style is definitely not stylish or modern :p

But must say that he's pretty good since i've been to some stylist b4 n the layered hair that they did for me is HORRIBLE!

Has anyone here tried Les Salon Bis from Ngee Ann City? I'm keen to go there as I've got a voucher..but unsure if it's too ex or if service is not good? But should be good right? Sigh..please advice!
 
hi all, i've been with Aris for many years. she has won awards in the Loreal competition b4 and now she has her own shop. Its KENARIS at Scotts orchard. she is very good wif perms and also layering (my hair is thick and has natural wave). her salon no. is 63338209. cheers!
 
Hi I patronize Reds, Jean Yip and Jantzen etc before but these salon charge high cause of branding and their high rental costs. In my opinions, some small players whom house in shopping outlet and HDB posess even better service and skills compared to these Group salons!

I would recommend Beauty Reveal at Jurong east Cineplex. You can try my hairstylist Aron whom is a guy. The salon charge S$188 for rebonding + cut + treatment for long hair, using Shisheido products. Hair color + cut + highlight = S$148 for long hair..
 

Hi Gals, pls don't go to Gary Soh fr Soh studio at forum galleria. He doesn't gives advice and he charges $65 for a cut. He's out to make more sales, he's pushy n unprofessional. Pls let yr friends know about it. The style that he cut is so unsuitable for me.
