I'm getting alot of mixed advice about An Chuang, can someone please advise me if possible?
I understand that this is recommended to be done 1 week before the wedding...the groom's parents/elderly should be the ones to do it, afterwhich nobody should enter the room/sit/sleep on the bed.
In this case, it means either me/my husband to be cannot sleep in that bed until after the wedding. (Depending on where we do the an chuang, my house or his house). This is not a major problem because we can find another place to stay for a week.
However, I went to Master Long, and as I was reading back on what his booklet says, it states that on the day of an chuang, the bed MUST be occupied by a person on the very night after the blessing of the bed. This is to attract and keep the beneficial energy to energize the nuptial bed to harness the excellent chi that enhances marital bliss?
I have also read forums that state that the groom should not sleep on the bed alone, if absolutely necessary to sleep in the bed after an chuang he needs to do so with a child next to him?
