Hi all, I just have my wedding dinner a couple of nights ago at amara. Everything went smoothly like clockwork. The service and the food was good. Everyone was very professional. It was so good that one of my out-of-town relative actually gave a tip to the waiter servicing his table that night! LOL.

The ballroom was lovely decorated and the fiber-optic ceiling seemed like brillant stars on a dark night. I chose the Romance II (which is a bit peachy and gold hints).

The banquet executive Jeffery really knows what to do and we had no worries throughout the night as he knew what to do and cued us accordingly.

My wedding planner Tiffany was sincere, friendly and professional and tried her best to accommodate to our requests as best as she can.
All in all, our guests and us had a wonderful night and it left a lasting impression on us for many years to come.

mine is for 2008 as per the package... amara is relatively strict and sticks to the standard privileges... so very hard to get anything out of them! i will be having 30 tables.

my sis just had her wedding a few weeks back at Amara. I'm helping out as one of the jia mei at the wedding. I can say the banquet manager is very helpful n exp. He really took care of teh ops of the dinner n of course the couple well. My sis told me Tiffany her coord is also nice n easy to nego wif. She enjoyed herself on the day n yes, her theme was Romance theme n ballroom was done up beautifully! Her bridal suite also got rose petals in the water tub! I know cos I went up to her suite wif her end of the dinner as she n her hubby were feeling tipsy. keke... very cosy feel. Overall I think it's a good place to hold a recep there. =)

Am new to singaporebrides. =)

Am considering Amara as one of the hotel to hold my wedding dinners.
Basically i find the ballrooms very nice. also the hotel lobby is quite class.

However read quite a number of negative reviews here so am abit worried.

I must agree that their wedding coordinators are not as friendly as those I have came across.

Anyone of you have Rebecca as your coordinator? Is she new? my 1st impression of her is she dun quite seem willing to serve me abd HTB

Also can you all advise me on what is the main role of the banquet manager?

so far ok.. but like said lor... they are very strict on perks and all... and not as 'eager' as the other hotels.. haha... blessing sometimes coz they leave u alone...

I agreed with the ladies that Tiffany is great! tips: request for this banquet manager call Fabian. He left a wonderful impression when I attended a wedding a few months ago. Actually i was thinking of signing my AD with them.

My AD i am looking at this year end or 2009. I agree with you that the other manager Jeffrey is also nice. hmmm this Fabian is quite young la. Actually I am also looking at M Hotel..check out their forum page..seems quite active

virgobride.... ya.. i considered M hotel before.. but he feels it's very old.. that's why we took Amara instead (on top of the fact the Amara looks really new)... haha...

i saw the bridal suite amara offered only after i signed! haha.. so that's not a major point in consideration...

but he said it's better then the four seasons one! haha (coz at 1 point in time we considered 4 seasons too... )

no la.. nothing too fantastic abt the suite.. but it's quite hard to see the suite coz it's occupied most of the time.. haha.. u can try ur luck...
