r u just lookg for outdoor venues?roxy hotel's poolside is my favourite outdoor venue for poolside

Hi all,

I had my ROM at the altivo and it turned out to be a bad experience. However the whole place was very nicely decorated but the food sucked big time.

Basically, u pay for the view instead of the food.
 
catering is allowed. but altivo will charge you the venue cost which at that time, was $800 or so. when i took up their package, i.e. using their caterer, it costs about slightly higher price. The so-called venue cost was built into the price.

Anyway, Altivo is really a nice place for a small wedding but do take note of their food. if possible request for a taste or something. at that time, mine was just a ROM, but i never expected the food to be such LOW quality. All are those deep friend frozen food which i can get from supermkt.
 
i've been to the renovated altivo recently and it was sooooo lovely. thot its nice for a small cosy event. i got a lot of guests but would really like to use altivo. hmmm anyone know whats the sitting capacity for theatre-style solemization and round table seating buffet dinner?

Hey Everyone who consider Mount faber for their wedding location:

DO take note that their service sucks and they are famous for dishonest staff that make you pay a lot on unseen stuff.....

My first prority is there but their service level portrays as unprofessional, irresponsible and bad attitude.Lucky me that I didnt choose this place in the end!

Though the scenery is really very nice but do take the service and staff into account too! Dont let irresponsible be a part of your wedding team and let them spoil everything!!
 
Yeah I had the same problem wif you guyz too. Had loads of problem contacting the person in charged. We contacted her sometime in Nov 06 and neva neva got the quote. Called n left sms-es....always no replies. Finally in Jan diz yr, we got the person n the quote...but we neva saw her. Same as u guyz i conclude too dat their service is purely bad. Not to mention, the price is outrageous too...well, now I seek another venue...n still am on the hunt for it.

I agree with you ^5. Poor Service, Velder makes mi & hubby waited for an hr for her grand arrival.... After getting infos and showing us around she had those reluctant attitude revealling....

Caulated everything for AD cost 35K which alcholic drinks have yet to be counted in(depend s on personal preference)..... Alot of hidden costs. Still quotation was not given to us..... tried contacting her but still no response.... so altivo is out of our list.....
 
considered them real seriously before for funtn but it seemed like every interaction i had with them was like they didnt want or need my biz. it was so unpleasant tat i took them off my list too. just my 2 cents worth

i totally agree that Altivo service is two thumbs DOWN! i wanted to do an company function there and the response was TERRIBLE! I had to follow-up numerous times and finally complained to this guy called christopher before i got a quote. I didt bother after that cos they dont seem to want my business. VERY unsatisfied with their service. SUXS!! So i dont even want to consider them for my ROM and wedding.
 
This is interesting.

I had my wedding dinner at the Jewel Box last year. Even though our experience with the coordinator wasn't as smooth as what it should hv been, my husband and I still went ahead *hoping* the actual nite would turn out fine. Well, as expected - it didn't.

The only nice thing about there was the view. Other things like food, setting and service were pretty horrendous (will spare the details).

Anyway, we wrote them a letter with our feedback and got an apologetic reply that "they will investigate and improve". Of cos we didn't get any "findings report" after that. Instead we got a S$50 voucher, which in our opinion, was rather insulting.

So I guess from other users' postings that nothing's changed, they still have lots to improve on. I am so glad I made the right choice right at the beginning to take out the "Anniversary" perk from their package.

Lastly, I hope I won't get into trouble saying this, but Altivo wasn't like that when they started! If you know which organisation took over the Group you might understand why the change in attitude.
