All brides!! Survey on OTR or MTM??~

It is pretty ez to self mtm gowns actually, and there are many shops that sells beautiful wedding gowns otr and they may not be found in the usual wedding shops.

Too bad I only found out after I had signed a package.. But It is possible to get a WG,EG and CS OTR within 1k (not the plain kind BTW). The rest can be spent on good photography and makeup artist.

I would not spend on MTM gown as I would only wear one time.. pay alot of it and it will become someone else's OTR gown after I wore it..

I MTM a gown + tea dress from a china website.. only S$178.. even after I wear them, I can sell them off cheap cheap... though not expecting full sequinned or embriodered.. but at least its a decent NEW gown for any low-budget brides like me

.. made-to-measure to my size somemore came with veil and gloves.

i definitely feel that mtm is better. even later on you find something which you love otr you can simply exchange your mtm privilege to something else!!!

I would like to know what is the real definition of MTM WG. Is it that even the MTM gown is for me but other brides can still use the gown for their photoshoot even though their AD is earlier than mine? My understanding of MTM is that the gown will only be worn by me and not anyone else, other than after my wedding. Anyone can help me? tia!

hehe.. i think MTM is better. Initially took up bridal package, taking up OTR gowns. Couldnt find a suitable gown that match my pink theme. So I end up custom made my gown with online store. Cost me S$320 (excluding postage), but i think it's quite worth it given the quality and detailed embroidery. still got free veil, can can and gloves. Cant wait to wear it on my AD. A photo for sharing

how long does it take for a MTM WG to be ready? my BS says it need only take abt 1-2mths. but i read somewhere says need at least 6 mths.

i have been searching high and low for a good MTM service. It's very hard to get one that is good and at the same time reasonable in price! I enquire from some bridal shop, and they quoted me $2800-$4500 for a MTM gown *faint* while some online shop quoted me $300 for the design i shown them. Huge difference i would say~

Now, i guess i will go straight to seamstress who are specialised in doing wedding gown. google afew and i have shortlisted two. will meet-up with them soon to see their work =)

I was told to pay additional for workmanship when I opt for MTM. I ended choosing a OTR.

) When it comes to MTM, remember to ask about the materials cos it makes a difference! (the reason i'm enchanted by my mum's gown)

yes they can whitebelle.. most OTR are MTMs from the past.

yup. other brides can also wear. but i think each woman is on their prettiest for their wedding day, so each will have their own flavour with their chosen dress. Don't have to care what others will wear hahaha. So in the end I managed to pick out all my gowns from the OTR range. I did pick the new looking ones though.

i thinking the bridal boutique also play a part. I have a friend who picked out an OTR, the brooch from her white gown kept on dropping off because the pin is dented le. so check your dresses!
