hi is it ok to do rebonding 2 mths before photo shoot? I've lost most curls from my 10-mth-old perm and my hair is a complete mess now : (

hihi

maybe you can double check with your make-up artist?
normally they will advise you not to as it will be difficult to style your hair if you just rebond your hair.hope this helps.

hi anne.. saw ur thread.. i just had my PS and my MUA also told me dont rebond. cos not onlyis diff for them to style.. wif the amt of styling , it is gg to spoil ur rebond also.. hope tis info helps

Hi Janice, that's what my consultant fr the BS said when I checked with her. Looks like I'll hv to 'tong' for another 1.5mths or so. Thanks for sharing : )

Yea, i heard also that we shouldn't rebond. Cos rebonded hair very difficult to style. I have the same problem, to rebond or not. But dun worry, my bushy hair looks fine after styling.
Just have to 'tahan' for normal days

Don't rebond ur hair cos it'll look super flat and u can't style it much like making curls in it or bun-ing it up. Let ur MUA do the job cos she's pro.

yah, don't rebond your hair. it will look super flat in front and maybe quite weird

don't ruin your photos that are going to be with you forever

My hairstylist also happens to be my future MIL, and she advised against rebonding hair for weddings because a beautiful gown needs full, beautiful hair.

I've always been an advocate of straight hair but I let her do a digital perm on me two months before the wedding. Let's just say there are zero regrets and the hair is so glamourous and beautiful!

I'd recommend you re-perm your hair instead of making it straight. Most brides look really plain with just straight hair in their gowns.

i rebonded my hair in end dec. and did my wedding photo shoot in early feb. just 1.5 months difference. but all the hairstyle with curls can still be done up nicely. i think it very much depends on the skills of the MUA

Need advice on this too. When I signed package with my BS, they told me not to rebond my hair 1 year before my wedding. Now I'm 10 months away but my hair is in a horrid mess! I tahan-ed almost 6 months of mess already but now it's beyond my tolerance. Can I get my hair rebonded 10 months before my actual day?

I felt it should be ok as 10 mths is really quite some time...

Alternatively u can try other straightening method (i did DYNA straightening) then rebonding which it has a more natural effect unlike rebond..

Thanks @BerryDreamy! But what if my ROM is 3 months away? Am I still in time to get my hair done then? Usually ROM hairstyle will be more casual/flowy style right?

Yeap, ROM will be more casual and flowly type.

If is 3 months, doing rebond might restrict the styling... Suggest u can try Dyna straightening cos it last only abt 6-8 mths which will not affect ya wedding by den

Are u going to style ur hair for your wedding? Best not to do any softening or straightening treatment before photo shoot or actual day if not very hard to style. Same as facial. Don't do facial one week before ps or actual day if not very hard for the colour to stay on ur face:)

Can try volume rebonding. It's very natural and low maintenance.

Must do treatment for hair... color... if want to be mei Mei for the day...

Can pm me if need recommend.
