Dear all,

Thanks for all your feedback. Now i'm abit worry to book Baiyoke Sky co's quite alot of negative feedback at Trip advisor & Asiarooms. So wondering their room & services is it still as good as past few years. But most of them comment their breakfast is good

Stayed at Baiyoke too a few years back. Nice hotel with spacious rooms! It's also within walking distance to the Pratunam wholesale markets, one of the nicest area to shop in BKK!

I'm going to BKK again next weekend, will be staying in Shanghai Mansion Hotel this time. Really love this boutique hotel!

Hi cutebaby

Shanghai Mansion is located at Chinatown, Yaowaraj Road. They are currently having promo on room rates. Can chk out their website at www.shanghaimansion.com. However it is not very near to the major shopping areas, though within walking distance to the Hua Lamphong MRT station. Decided to stay at this hotel as I've always loved the charm of Chinatown, plus lots of good food! The hotel does provide shuttle to the major shopping areas, so I guess it's not that bad.

If u are looking for a nice hotel that is within walking distance to the wholesale markets, then u shd consider Baiyoke Sky or Amari Watergate.

Hi Vivien,

Thanks for your advise. Ya, i also heard that Amari Watergate is good & near to shopping area. I found another hotel is Grand Diamond. Seen not bad & got 2 bedroom apartment.

There is another hotel called Centara Grand which is highly recommended by my colleagues. It's linked to the CentralWorld Plaza.

Really love Baiyoke Sky...the service provided was impeccable when I stayed there ard 2 years ago. I have been wanting to return there to stay but have had to put off my trip a few times due to the political unrest and riots which took place in Thailand recently. But when I was there in 2008, I was very impressed with the service...knowing that we were newlyweds at that time (we just had our ROM), they decorated our room with rose petals on the beds and even gave us complimentary cake and fruit basket to enjoy. Besides that, they also upgraded our room to a bigger suite without us even asking! The food in the hotel is excellent too especially the buffet spread at the highest floor. Thumbs up and I couldn't praise this hotel enough...have been recommending them to my friends!

Been to Baiyoke Sky for 28 times with 15 different groups and the service is still as good as ever, 24hr family mart at 11th lobby, 78 storey buffet breakfast. Wholesale market below, Every taxi knows where is Baiyoke Sky hotel.

I think Baiyoke Sky is pretty decent. Just came back from there few days ago. Bedroom and bathroom are rather spacious, of cos, it doesn't look so new but it's acceptable.

There is night market, Indra Square wholesale shopping and you can walk to Platinum Mall if you want. Breakfast is good.

Baiyoke Sky is good. The room and toilet are very big, the buffet breakfast is good and there are even a few restaurants on the top floors. It is within walking distance to Platinum Mall.
