Hi,

Need some advice on the following*

My fiancee and myself are based overseas and will be holding our wedding dinner inJuly 14.

However we are both not sure of the procedure of the whole process.

We would like to hold our solemnization + TC + Dinner on the same day.

Any advice on the procedure?

Thanks

It is quite common to have such 3-in-1 package,
You may approach the Hotel or restaurant for your request.
You may start your solemnisation at 6:00pm (in a function room).
Then have your tea ceremony at 6:30pm at the same function room. (Some hotels do provide the tea-pot set).
Dinner cocktail start at 7:00pm.
Wedding dinner seated at 7:30pm.

Thank you Winnie. Your advice has been most helpful!

In most cases, who are those present at Solemnization and at TC?
For solemnisation, usually are relatives & close friends of both the bride & groom.
(After solemnisation, you can have a group photos shots with: Parents, Family members, relatives & friends).
Tea ceremony are to serve & thanks the elders (grand, parents, uncles, aunties & siblings).
You have to contact & notify them of the tea session.

I had my solemnization done in the afternoon because i'm not really into the idea of having so many guests watching.
so i kept it private.. only people around were immediate family members and the helpers - 20 pax. :)

there after, i had lunch and could rest all the way till 4 plus pm. :)

my tea ceremony was done at both in-law's place and my place.. like the usual chinese custom.

and dinner as per norm.

short gown for solemnization.

i have total 3 gowns + 1 tea dress. i change from white gown to tea dress then to short gown in the morning. :)
