Hi everyone,

I do not have gatecrash for my wedding and I already have my maid of honor, do you think i need another sister to help out? how about recep?

No need actually. It's just for 'decoration' usually...I mean the sisters...they just pose for pictures only. Usually only 1 is very helpful. I didn't have gatecrash too but I had about 4 sisters, out of which I really only need one. You'll need more in the evening at the reception table tho...about 3?

Chocolatte, throw out all "rules". You don't need what you don't want. You have what you want.

Even church ceremonies do not require bridesmaids, flower girls and pageboys.

If you do not care for the fancies and frills, what you probably need is help in logistics and operations. They can be male or female, young or old. Especially when it comes to things like manning the reception table. No need to be "sisters" or "brothers"

The number of people manning your reception will also depend on the number of guests you have. You can have as few as 2 people if you don't have enough help, or even 6 to 8 if you want. 4 - 6 will be a comfortable number.

Hi,

No..mine isn't a church wedding.
I didn't have a flower boy or flower girl. Not necessary. You need one boy to help open the car door for the groom tho. This boy can be your brother or cousins.

Yea...and usually the 'brothers' do more work such as being drivers, carry heavy stuff like photo albums, help take some pics etc and of cos one chap to constantly remind the groom the timing and events of the day.

For you, you'll need the ladies just to accompany you...change your gown, carry your personal belongings etc and of cos one lady on ur side to remind you on the timing and events of the day.

guess i won't need another 2 bridemaids then even though my hus have 3 brothers. i'm not that into the fancies la, i just want to know what kinda help and how many helpers i will need.
