haha ya i have shoes for driving because i need a flat shoe with good friction. i don't usually wear close-toed shoes due to my broad feet. get blisters and calluses very easily.

I just got a sms from my dad to say mum is feeling better but still have to monitor to see if she needs to be admitted to hospital.

Laundry, thanks for the offer but my cat is v wary of strangers. I'm still in Sg what.. no need a pet sitter. If need be, there's a pet hotel I usually use.

When I'm distracted with other things, the last thing I wanna worry abt is who's going to help me take care of my animal farm leh. :P U use the Pet Hotel at Pasir Ris izit?
 
Ya, it's call the Pet Hotel. They are not v good (Amous came back w fleas before) but better than another one I used before (Pet Movers, bad service).

It's really brought home to me that my mum won't have long to live. So's my granny

Yup, used Pet Hotel twice for my dog. Ok lah, but she din like it there. Was forced to pay extra for a deticking/deflea-ing bath though. Cats nonid meh? Heh. Actually, come to think of it, dog+cat+bird. Completes food chain liao. :P

Nothing u can do thru worrying. Can only be there for them.
 
Laundry, yes the bath is compulsory. As for my family...can only hope for the best but expect the worst. My mum's health has been on the decline for 15 yrs. I'm actually mentally prepared for the worst. But I'm also more worried for my dad's emotional wellbeing.
 
G~gal, if you're really worried, is it possible to take time off work to be home with your mum and dad?

I don't know, but I feel for you. My biggest regret is not spending enough time with my grandmother before she was gone. And that feeling of guilt comes back every now and then when I think of her.

Sorry for adding on to everyone's monday blues... just sparked off some emotions.
 
hey, i felt the tremors at my workplace at 1.50pm!! alamak for a moment, i thot i had dizzy spells then my friend who was with me told me it's the tremor cos she also felt it !!
 
depends on which area you are in lah....if the whole of Sg can feel the tremors....then I will be scare sia.

People....as for this Friday's gathering, let's postpone to another date. Like not many pple responded leh.....and my brain is dead now. Cant even think of a place to go
