i have a gal friend whom i hang out with very frequently. v are very close.
until, she got to know I am getting married in dec, she did not congratulate me.

she claim that i will forsake her and she is no longer important to me anymore.

lately i am unable to meet up with her because during chinese new year, I got lobang for emcee service here and there. but she insist i can't meet her is because i am é‡è‰²è½»å‹ï¼

actually she know that this is very unfair to accused me of doing so, because during chinese new year for the past 2 years, I am always not free to meet.

she feel insecure...

even i can't meet her, i tried sms and call her but no answer from her. I am worried and thought something happend to her. so i went to find her in her office during my lunch time yesterday.

when i finally see her, I ask her whether is she alright? why didn't reply my sms or call... she just say:"can't you see i am still alive?"

i am very heart broken..i dunno what have i done wrongly. she is never like this for the past 3 years...
 
Hi Cynthia, wah your fren is so childish. It's normal that pple grow up, find a partner and settle down, so will have less time for frens. If 2 persons call themselves true frens, time apart will not affect the frenship. They will not accuse each other of forsaking them. Then what.. are you suppose to remain single and celibate for her sake? Will she do that for you? I used to have a fren who also never expressed happiness for me whenever I shared with her my joy. This kind of fren, I will just ignore and move on...Dun need such negative influence in my life. In contrast I have a group of very close frens whom I dun get to meet often but we keep in touch with email or phone call/sms regularly. We really share experiences, joy and sadness like surrogate sisters. Spend more time with frens and loved ones who are really worth your time.
 
actually, kind of similar situation also happend to my fiance side. his good buddy also facing depression that he is getting married...

his buddy regret not wooing me in the first place and he said that, if he did, he will be the one getting married...my God!

she has broken off with her bf more than 5 years ago. she say she is still trying to heal her heart. has been with her for the past 3 years but don't seem to improve a bit at all..still very negative in relationship.

she say she got suitors and her ex wanna patch with her but she say she got phobia in relationship.

i tried intro a few friends to her but she not keen. she say not her type...her requirements very high, must got good career...cos her ex-bf is a senior executive in a listed company earning 5 digits..wow!

Simpleman, post here better. I went Funan to biyo harddisk yesterday. Din manage to go to many shops b4 my dinner appt but I was quite keen on a Seagate 60GB one tat costs $139. Does the brand matter? Also, wat's RPM ah? The more the salesguy tried to explain, the more confused I got. Heh. How does RPM affect the data storage?
 
Laundry, RPM simply means the speed of the harddisk. Faster speed means you retrieve data faster lor. For me brand matters la.. Dun buy a cheapo unknown brand which may spoil faster and doesn't offer warranty. Whatever brand you buy, still must remember to do full backups regularly ie burn to CD-RW to store. BTW, 60Gb for $139 is ok. Seagate is a reliable brand.

guess ggal has replied. RPM is actually Revolutions Per minute, ie how fast the disk is spinning. Faster speed means faster access but for portable drive probably not as critical as it won't make much of a difference.

Not too sure about brands but there are not many manufacturers of hard-disk. Brands probably refers to the someone who put everything together (getting hard-disk from one of the manufacturer) and having casing and a little electronics to go with it.

Yes, Seagate is one of the largest (if not the largest) hard-disk manufacturer.

Most hard-disks are reliable and should be able to last > 3-5 yrs but as ggal has mentioned, you need to backup important stuff in case you are the "sway" one that has defective hard-disk. Don't burn on CD liao, use DVD (either R or the RW) as it has larger capacity. In fact for important stuff, you may want to make 2 copies.
 
Fwah... Simpleman is even more KS than me.. 2 copies on DVD somemore. Ya... I'm still using CD cos I dun download porn what ;) Kekeke... for simple documents and presentations, CDRW is enuf. Not every CD drive I've come across can read DVD :P
 
wah... only porn then DVD? Of course if the data you backup is small, CD suffice lah. But 60GB?? you need quite a lot of CDs to backup all.

Cos there is really little price differential between CDs and DVDs liao. DVDs capacity is at least 6 times that of CDs. So you can actually save space by consolidating onto DVDs.

Please note that the data on CDs/DVDs may not last forever. So every few years, it may be good to make a copy.

One thing is important though. Don't buy cheap or brandless CDs/DVDs media. Cos you don't want your data to disappear just because you save a few cents here and there.
 
Ya ya... agree on the CHEAPO CD/DVD part. My ex co used to try to save few cents here and there (listed co somemore! Maybe can affect share price?! Hahaha). In the end, all had to be thrown away cos CANNOT burn! Anyway, I always trust Verbatim or SONY brand la. At home we use DVD for backups also, cos my hb is a storage junkie :P I only do backup when my laptop seems to be acting up :P But luckily Macs seldom got this kinda problem.
 
its ages i backup-ed my stuff... better do so before my computer crashes.... i'm so tired!!

i find it always a waste to be these computer gadgets... now that CDRW can't be used liao if changing to DVD... imagine the $ spent to buy all those stuff... portable hard disk supposed to be my backup, in the end i still gotta back up the data in CDs... troublesome... so much for imformation age...
