A Place for Singles

haha i think i prefer to be neat, but i don't wanna do anything about the pigsty!! *lol*
I don't mind physical mess, but when it comes to doing work, solving problems and stuff, you def have to be organised. or rather, I prefer to be organised.

Laundry/ RaRa - " Is your I a very strong I?" "Wat's making me curious is u're an I meh? Do u feel the need to recharge with time alone before/after some social event? Or u thrive on it?"

Yes I need to recharge after social events and sometimes I decline going out with my frens also. I'm pretty much a loner though I enjoy company sometimes.

Haha me too. I actually enjoy going places alone or just stoning at home myself. Some people cannot imagine going to concerts/movies/shopping alone, but I've done all those before and they were very relaxing and enjoyable experiences.

me also enjoy doing things by myself...i usually go shopping myself as i can go from shops to shops very fast...concerts, movies etc i dun go alone...

Confirm we are big capital "I"s.

I also like to stone sometimes.

I think "I" type doesn't mean being individual or necessarily introverted. Is just that we're comfortable being with ourselves and we get our source of energy from inside ourselves (not reliant on others). I love doing things like watching movies, taking walks and chilling out at a cafe by myself. Guess as an only child, I've had plenty of training in keeping myself occupied.

Rite on, G~gal. Whether an E or I depends on where your source of energy is, your direction of focus. Incidentally, it's extrAversion vs introversion. Everyone can be an extrovert at some point or other. Extraverted people focus on people, energised by the outer world, interaction, believe in breadth of interest. Introverted people go for reflective thots, concepts, depth of interest, energised by inner world.

Wah. 3 days' course & wannabe expert liao. Eheheh..

I went from ISTJ in Sec4 to ISFP (I was 50% F 50% T, and 50% P and 50% J and I'm supposed to pick FP) in J2, to INFP in the test I took earlier this afternoon. Didn't read the analysis yet, but I was supposed to be a moderate N and slight P (6%).

Me ISFJ. Protector. Quiet, friendly, conscientious. Committed & steady in meeting obligations. Thorough, notice & rem specifics abt people, strive to create orderly & harmonious env at work & home. I sound so boring. Blardee...

The Idealists called Teachers are abstract in their thought and speech, cooperative in their style of achieving goals, and directive and expressive in their interpersonal relations. Learning in the young has to be beckoned forth, teased out from its hiding place, or, as suggested by the word "education," it has to be "educed." by an individual with educative capabilities. Such a one is the eNFj, thus rightly called the educative mentor or Teacher for short. The Teacher is especially capable of educing or calling forth those inner potentials each learner possesses. Even as children the Teachers may attract a gathering of other children ready to follow their lead in play or work. And they lead without seeming to do so.

Teachers expect the very best of those around them, and this expectation, usually expressed as enthusiastic encouragement, motivates action in others and the desire to live up to their expectations. Teachers have the charming characteristic of taking for granted that their expectations will be met, their implicit commands obeyed, never doubting that people will want to do what they suggest. And, more often than not, people do, because this type has extraordinary charisma.

The Teachers are found in no more than 2 or 3 percent of the population. They like to have things settled and arranged. They prefer to plan both work and social engagements ahead of time and tend to be absolutely reliable in honoring these commitments. At the same time, Teachers are very much at home in complex situations which require the juggling of much data with little pre-planning. An experienced Teacher group leader can dream up, effortlessly, and almost endlessly, activities for groups to engage in, and stimulating roles for members of the group to play. In some Teachers, inspired by the responsiveness of their students or followers, this can amount to genius which other types find hard to emulate. Such ability to preside without planning reminds us somewhat of an Provider, but the latter acts more as a master of ceremonies than as a leader of groups. Providers are natural hosts and hostesses, making sure that each guest is well looked after at social gatherings, or that the right things are expressed on traditional occasions, such as weddings, funerals, graduations, and the like. In much the same way, Teachers value harmonious human relations about all else, can handle people with charm and concern, and are usually popular wherever they are. But Teachers are not so much social as educational leaders, interested primarily in the personal growth and development of others, and less in attending to their social needs.

Mikhail Gorbachev is an example of a Teacher Idealist.

Hey powder, your type is similar to my hb's... he's a an Idealist Counselor type (INFJ)... Both of you like to contribute to the welfare of society...more "wei da" than most of us. Ppls like me (INTJ) are more apathetic.. :P

wah ok... when my plans are almost concrete, then i supply money, your hubby supply the energy... think we'll make a good team bringing joy to the world... i personally like to target the under-priviledged kids... start young and help change the vicious cycles...

Morning People!

G~gal, I not fussy. I also can be INFJ. Whichever category Mother Theresa is in. Heheh. Only the person himself or herself can tell for sure which type he/she belongs to. The rest of us can juz guess. Explains why the same person can be perceived as different personality types to different people.

Eh, actually quite interesting leh. So far the thriving marriages have similar type indicators. Mine hor, exact opposites. No wonder... :P But then again, before we end up adding another criteria to the "List of Perfect Man to Marry", I wanna add disclaimer. Doesn't mean opposites can't thrive in a marriage hor. Opposites can attract mah. Juz takes more work to maintain it.

Laundry, I guess it depends on which opposing aspects of a couple's character. Eg if one is loud and the other one quiet, the r/s can still survive and maybe each of them complement the other. However, it maybe harder if one is confrontational and the other is submissive in the r/s. Then one may get bullied more often until oneday really cannot take it and leave the r/s. For me, I prefer a complementary r/s rather than one in which both parties are a contrast of each other.

You keep mentioning Mother Teresa.. you want to be a matyr???

Yup, personally I think the J & P is the most difficult combination. 1 likes structure, the other likes surprises. But then again, I think I'm naturally a J though I've learnt to relax in becoming more of a P due to my ex's influence. Not a bad thing I should say.

Do u hv to be dead to be a martyr har? K lah, I dun mind lah. People will remember me long after my death. Hopefully, for all the good reasons...

still talking abt the personality test ah....

i think i spent 1k even be4 new year... just on clothes and gifts.... must recover with angbaos!

You still qualify for angbaos meh?? Oh you haven't gone thru customary... For me pretty simple, getting MIL to get ready all the angbaos for us since all the relatives are in M'sia so we dun have to change notes and pack angbaos ourselves ;) And not spending any more money on clothes liao since we shopped in BKK. Only bought some abalone and bird's nest for my parents. MIL even gave us some CNY cookies to pass to my parents so we dun have to buy! ;)

Good la.. I also collected angbaos for 5 yrs after ROM liao.. hahaha.. Hopefully every yr MIL can help pack the angbaos so we dun have to do it.. hehehe

Nope :D that's the beauty of it! Of coz me and hb will still give the usual allowance and "ya shui qian". And now that one of my BIL is married, have one person less to give.. hehe..

WHAT!!! i wan your MIL haha!! my hb ever since he was a kid... those angbaos that ppl give him he doesn't keep... all have to return to his mother for the angbaos she give to the children of those ppl who gave to him.... so he only gets his own parents and some relatives who deosn't have children...

for me every year i get about 400 to 500 angbao... think the older i go.. the lesser i get liao.. so sad
