simpleman i also own a 42" plasma and 27" LCD! haha! guess thats the norm around... i love watching soccer with my plasma... i always feel my eyes are more tired after watching the LCD screen...

one thing is plasma if spoilt ... can buy a new one... cos no replacment parts... but LCD if spoilt, only need to change the liquid crystals... the parts replaceable... (talking about image problems here)
 
there should be a digital show every quarter. next one will be b4 march. actually it is beat 2% GST because 5% u already paying..
 
cecilia, you are right but I guess technology change so fast it is ok to replace them.

definitely watching on LCD gives headache because of the trailing effect...

I use the LCD to watch children program/DVDs and to play PS2 games...

Ya, watch soccer the bigger the screen better but plasma does generate more heat...

Simpleman, I agree what you said about LCD vs Plasma. But what I understand is that most screens are now produced in Korea with Samsung being the largest producer. Some parts may still be from the brand's country of origin, but most are from China/Taiwan. And most of these panels are being assembled in China/M'sia. Hmm...well, I'm happy with the LCD, just hoping can enhance the image a bit w/o having to subscribe to cable :P

Hey Latino, thanks for organising this. Fri should be no prob for me. As for venue, I've already suggested two: Corduroy cafe at vivo or Killiney Kopitiam. Unless you must get sloshed. Then I can't help you... Sun is out for me.

Ha.. ah siao.. you got say wanna co-organise with me meh? :P Anyway now Latino has graciously offered to organise this outing.

La Kopi, w/o a car you can still hope on a NEL train from Doby Ghaut to Harbour Front and reach Vivo in less than 15min. Orchard will be crowded lah.. but feel free to suggest a place to hang out, not too noisy and serves nice F&B.

I'm OK with Marche at Heeren.. long time never go there. But it's quite noisy too... The other place I can think of is the al freso cafe outside Wisma.. but dunno what the weather will be like.

Ceci.. I also dunno which model I like. Maybe just the signature khaki one. Basically want a compact one that can put about 6 cards, got double bill compartment, double coin compartment and some slots for misc junk. 15% disc on top of sale price? ;)
