RaRa, Westin facelifted liao is much better.. simi last millennium?? Then which hotel you prefer? My favourite local hotel is Fullerton for the heritage and architecture. Dun like the Mandarin hotels... now that's last milleniium to me. :P

Latino, I did Merchant of Venice for lit in Sec 1... A pound for a pound... My ducats!!! Oh you should watch the film starring Al Pacino as the Jew. He was gooooood!!
 
Salsa, I watched Phantom in sec sch too. that was the Aussie cast. OK la.. I dun really appreciate all these lomantic musicals. Prefer to watch Dim Sum Dollies type.. haha.
 
Har... lit was my nightmare. Scored 32/100 for Sec 1 final exam. hahahaha.... my 'best' score ever in my entire sch life!

they just shoved us one stack of shakespeare plays to read during the jun hols and said there'd be a quiz after the hols. and that's it! wahaha.
 
i did merchant of venice too. nong nong ago man. actually forgot what it is all about.

Actually I enjoyed lit. Oh, we also did Twelfth Night. I prefer Merchant of Venice though. But I din think abt doing it in JC... regret a bit. Cos the guy I liked was in that class.. hahaha...but he was doing Econs.

Latino, if you want a makeover, can also arrange it at one of those cosmetic counters like MAC or Clinique.. free if you buy their products. Make you swee swee. For shopping.. actually Tangs got personal shoppers... can also get them to help if we go shopping there.

RaRa, I did double math and sci in JC but din enjoy... dun have the fun of humanities. Well that guy was cute la.. it's one of those things lor. Who knows if things wld be better or worse if we got together then? My 2 ex-classmates were together for a gd 10 yrs.. but split in the end also.

Yep, give Tangs a call... they are helpful. I got my D&D gifts from them too.

Oh last time my JC got "weird combi" classes. You can take 1 math, 1 sci, and 2 humanes or 1 math, 2 sci and 1 humanes. Cool hor. Me too suaku to know so gong gong sign up for double math and sci... :P
 
Me not zai la RaRa, me "F"lunked my F-math all the time. My mechanics section just CMI!! But stats always full marks or 2 marks short of full marks. Dun ask me now :P In the end I dropped F-math lor

HAR... that's really very weird leh. 1 math 1 sci 2 humanes?? so it that arts stream or sci stream... the person planning timetables must have liked challenges a lot. how to coordinate the lessons??

the weirdest we had was one guy taking chem/phy/econ/HCL (i.e. C Lit). tt's why HCL classes always ended at 5.10pm.

ya i always thought u were the more humanes kind. haha life was so slack after i dropped geog. i had 17hours worth of breaks every week!! thanks to my 5.10pm classes.
 
Erm... they managed to have that combi lor.. I dunno how... must ask the coordinators of the timetable.. haha. Ya, your example is something we had also. Some classes even had pple taking 1 MAth, 1 Sci, Computing & HCL.
 
RaRa, what do you mean you have 17 hrs of breaks every week cos of your 5.10pm classes? I like human geog cos can BS...hahaha.. Geog and History were not my strong pts in sec sch. I had to pia for distinctions :P

I told Lit/phy/chem/HM during school days... Lit is good but I always fail... The Mid summer nite day was a interesting story.
 
means on average i have 3 hrs worth of breaks a day lor. because when my class had geog or lit, i will have a break. then there's the common break for everyone to jiak peng. and when my class was dismissed already, i'd be waiting until 3.50pm for HCL to start. A lot of free time in between but day ends super late.

At least u could get distinctions by pia-ing. Hist/Lit were subjects that I couldn't do well in no matter how hard I pia-ed. Hmm, maybe I really didn't pia hard enuff! :p
 
OIC.. so you had a lot of time between classes la. You took HCL not Jap? Cos I know your sch got that lang elective. I also regret a bit not going to NJC cos they have German and my gd fren was there. But too bad lor. Their loos and uniform sux.. haha :P Opps.. hope I dun offend anyone from NJ!!
 


wah u even checked out their loos ah!! i haven't been to NJC before. I only know that the facilities in my sch and the size of my school compound then was a far far cry from HCJC. got a shock when i went there for some concert.

no lah i didn't take jap at 'O' levels. dropped in sec 3 so couldn't continue in JC.
