Ceci.. ya v tired that's why. I woke up a few times too cos it was a bit too cold. But generally slept from 8+ till 6+ this morning.

Anyone can give advise wat should i wear for my 1st court hearing tomolo? Want to have a good impression. Thinking wear black pants and stripe short sleve shirt or Skirt with shirt better ?
 
i slept at 1 plus in the morning... also lack of sleep.. cos saturday night went MOS and reach home only at 5 in the morning... slept few hours woke up and no nap...
 
Ceci.. you regular at MOS huh?? Or you use the HSBC card? I haven't been there yet... nice or not. I only have MOS CD.. haha..listen at the gym in my iPod.

Where's ah siao??? Eh.. me going to collect the car on 10 May... soon soon. Dunno whether the SE will give my car top up on fuel before we collect or not? Anything else to look out for??
 
ceci, was trying to get in MOS abt 11plus on saturday but too crowded and end-up at St James. But the live band there was bad, very poor vocal but still enjoy wif frends till 4plus too.
 
hi Laundry, some SEs do I think.. went to check a car forum and some says their SE top up to full tank, some half tank. The giam gana ones will give u fuel red light, so u have to go top up immediately after leaving the collection centre :P
 
ceci, i did nt sleep on sat nite, play mj at my bro hse till morning....then zzz at abt 8am on sunday morning and wake up at abt 6pm....then sunday nite cant get to zzz tink only zzz abt 2.30 to 3am ba...then last nite zzz after 1.30am....
 
Mine confirmed the giam gana kind. Not in the league of Alfas & BMWs mah. *hint hint* Anyway it wasn't tat low on fuel lah. Exaggerating. Hehhe.

Actually my SE not bad liao... gave us $1K cash rebate, shorter antenna, 3M carpets and branded solar films...not too bad la.. if can top up fuel wld be a bonus lor.. Can't wait to go for a spin!!! ;) Just realised that my MSCP got a bangla washing cars. But he uses the same sponge and towel for every car :P sure kena scratch one...
 
Latino, my hb will have to sit for the BT in May lor. But it's ok one cos he can actually drive the car so long as license conversion is done w/in 1 yr (from registration of the car).
 
Latino, think it's better to ask if G~gal has gone to apply to take basic driving test a not?

G~gal, for my car hor,
1st mth - weekly personal car wash, mod & mod & mod, heart bleeds when kenna scratch
2nd mth - still personal car wash but become weekly torture
3rd mth - personal car wash every fortnitely
4th mth - outsource to petrol station. starts looking out for bangla worker
5th mth - see scratch no feeling, see dirty car pray for rain, see dent postpone to next car servicing. Immune liao.
 
gga; no la i not regular.. but maybe once or twice in a month... i dun think they top up fuel.. maybe only 1/4 tank the most..

thinky, my friend knows the boss.. so booked a table thru him... any place that needs to queue i dun go..

Haha.. I prolly will agree with your month to month analysis of how I will treat the car lor! Cos I'm the lazy sort. As for moding... no $$!! Anyway the car no need to mod looks gd liao. But think hb will wanna wash the car himself la... he's the kind who will look after his stuff better than me.
 
diana... now u mj siao... i can't sleep like you.. from 8am to 6pm... will wake up with headache.. can take naps in the afternoon but this weekend no time at all!! haha.. cos i keep going to supermarkets and buying food to cook.... finally cooked a decent meal... first time cooking and edmund say it tastes good.. dunno whether just making me happy..
 
Ceci.. good to learn cooking.. practise makes perfect! Now I have little time to cook and lazy also. Weekends just want to relax or go out.:P Maybe I shld start cooking again. But actually cooking is not cheaper than eating out for us sometimes.
 
ggal ya lor... buying food at carrefour and ntuc not cheap also... eating outside at hawker centres only cost less than $10... buying food and cooking may cost up to $30! not o calculate the electricity used (mine is electricity not gas)...
 
wah G~gal, thought u saving up for honeymoon to turkey? last yr when we came back from krabi i was also thinking of going bali this yr. haha but now not even thinking about it anymore.

Ceci, exactly. Esp when I cook western food like steak or lamb chop which my hb loves. Somemore after that got to clean up :P Usually leave it to hb la, but he'll complain how come must use so many crockery.

RaRa, honeymoon to Turkey got to postpone liao cos I said cannot be sure abt my schedule in June... a lot happening that month in terms of work. Hb also said he may need to do some projects, so Dec is a safer choice for longer holiday. More time to save up also!

How come you can't go to Bali anymore? 10 May is ur driving test huh?
 
RaRa, relax lah. At most, take again lor. I seriously think driving tests are like buying Toto. A matter of luck. Not in all sense a test of ur driving skills anymore. :P

ggal ya! actually i also dun understand how come use so much crockery.. but it seems like there is a use for everything haha! hb say he gonna make steak for me this week... after i cooked 3 days of dinner for him... haha! wonder how i did that also... cos i nvr cook before
 
Ceci of course got a use for everything la! Need 1 bowl to marinate, cook already must use another plate. Raw meat and vege dun put together so have to be in separate plates... men seldom cook so they dunno. Except simpleman la.. haha.. I know he can cook lobster :P~~
 
actually men can cook...my daddy can make laksa,minced meat noodle,spaghetti also...talking abt food make me hungry...

my FH also can cook LOL
 
G~gal, no money lor. Don't even have money to go malaysia man. And i'd prefer to go cambodia first in case they really decide to restrict access to angkor wat in the near future.

Laundry, haha for me it's not just a matter of luck. I'm really too lousy lah.

Manual is fun lah. It's just me. Gonna squeeze in 10 more lessons ($400+!! *gasp*) from now till then. Can only hope that I improve at lightning speed over this period of time.

anyway, i think the more provocatively i dress the quicker the tester will fail me. haha. he will wanna go back to BBDC faster cos 'mou ngan tei'! (no eye see for ggal's benefit)
 
I love to cook... but I have to see the kitchen before I got the mood to cook. My hub hse kitchen too small. End up getting angry while I cook. Hahah.... As for my new hse I havent use the kitchen to cook yet. Still under reno. But I hope I can cook for my hub cos I am those lazy type. And I dont like to go wet market.
 
RaRa, M'sia is cheap what.. a 3D2N Tioman trip cost me only abt $200 and we stayed at the Berjaya resort with free buffet breakfast and dinner. Are you sure you need $400 more for your lessons? Why can't you just borrow your bf's car to practise?
 
no lah cecilia, we play till morning coz we nid to wait for my mum mah, she playing wif my bro, my bro MIL and uncle in law mah....then so while waiting and nothing to do we also play lor (my sister, her bf, me and shawn) coz my sister got to drive my mum hm later also wat....hee hee....but i damn heng, win $110 and shawn win $90.....wahahaha
 
RaRa, dun mind if I put it bluntly hor. If u urself feel tat ur skills are not up to par, it's better tat u fail now. Think I wldn't dare to drive even if I had passed on my 1st attempt then.
 
dear gal, if it's parking and all, maybe still can. but how to practise with his car on the major roads? and i need the 'L' plate so ppl will give face and siam me, at least until I can change lanes better.

ya will cost me $400+ over 2.5weeks cos $39x10 lessons, with at least 2 more circuit sessions ($22 each). Already eating into next month's pay. *sigh*

haha, no money to go malaysia, so went sungei buloh lor. i got a lot of free souvenirs from the local sandflies.

laundry, i know what you mean. I told my instructor too that I won't wanna pass without being able to drive properly on the road.

I'm using the test as a goal, and this period before the test to really push myself to practise more intensively even if it means I may still not make it eventually.

actually, i feel i'm actually doing better with the pressure of the test building up. don't worry. I myself wouldn't want to be a hazard on the road!

RaRa, no L plate can put a big sign "siao larng hua chia" then pple will siam you automatically.. hehehe.

I've not been to Sungei Buloh though it's not far from my place. What to do or see there?
I'm actually not a v "nature" person :P Only nature I dun mind is in the zoo! Oh an alternative is ask your bf to drive both of you to JB lor. Can eat cheap and good food there, watch movies or buy groceries back to cook ;)
 
g~gal, what is hua chia?? and $200 to tioman is the price per person?
he dun dare to drive to jb. he say jb not safe. actually we wanted to go over by bus with other friends on good friday but it was so crowded at the customs we turned back.

haha what u see at sungei buloh really depends on ur luck. u must be good at listening to movements and spotting stuff among the leaves and in the swamps else u'd just be walking blindly in the forest then complain nothing to see after that. my bf is v good at that so it helps with him around. he spotted birds, water monitors, snails, otters, grasshoppers, and some other bugs that I don't recognise. i only spotted a slug on the underside of a leaf and a few spiders and butterflies tt's all.
 
"hua chia" = drive or driving in hokkien la.. haha..

Yup it's $200 per pax inclusive of coach, ferry and accommodation. If you want to take bus to JB on a PH or weekends, you better go v v early like 6 or 7am. Later than 8 or 9am and the Q will be horrendous.

If I go to Sungei Buloh I may just accidentally kill some of the wildlife there :P I am not that observant lor :P
 
speaking of killing wildlife, there was this water monitor which was lying flat in the middle of our path and after affirming that it was alive, we were wondering if someone had accidentally stepped on it while walking by cos it looked so flattened! Then as another family approached on the other side, the lizard just puffed itself up again and crawled back into the swamp. haha. amazing. my bf was said it must have flattened itself to get maximum sunlight.
