gonna attend Z wedding showcase this weekend, anyone going too? :) i quite like their gown designs.. but seems like they're on the more expensive end?
 
Blackaccesories is nice.. but the price is a little ex as they have 3 sizes for their bouquet.. my mum wanted to buy 1 for me but I decided that she shouldn't spend so much on it..

what's the price range like? those on their Instagram looks abit small.. nice to have crystal bouquet since it can be kept..

Depending on bouquet pricing.. I think the small-medium one was about 1.5k? They wanted a 40% deposit which was about $600?? It was last year when I enquired the price. Not too sure about now though.

they are on the very expensive end, imo haha
i think their biggest selling point is the collaboration with ChrisLing :) I'm w Z.
their gown designs are really good too! Have yet to do my gown selection though.

oh no, haha. Yeah I like Chris Ling photography. n that z wedding has a new subsi called le grand wedding which has quite unique gowns!

do u mind sharing with me ur package with z? :)
 
what do you guys intend to put on your wedding montage? Is it okay to do away with it on wedding day?

Will it be very boring?

Anyone thinking of taking extra fun shots with home clothes to put on montage?

I am looking at Taobao too....My friend recommend me to try.

I have a friend who bought and wear on her actual day. It fit her well but you have to check the measurement.
 
I went to seek for David Tong and i was asked to give him english bday???

Usually i thought we should give chinese bday plus time of birth? Can anyone advise me?

Master Tong told me he wants English birthday plus time of birth. Is this the new practice these days?

i text master long. ask for english dob and time.. so same.. i guess they will convert to chinese bday on their own cuz we also wont know :p

I guess he will assume that not many people know of their Chinese birthday thus asking for English birthday would be easier for us to understand.
I gave him my English birthday and time of birth too. :)

Scroll to the earlier posts for replies from some girls :) I'm sourcing on tb for my rom gown.. don't need too luxe quality since I'm gonna wear for less than 2hrs.. just afraid I can't find any designs I like :/

Did master tong also ask for the zodiac of both set of parents? Or is just birth date and time of couple only?

My colleague taught me to look at the reviews with actual pictures. Realised 90% of the time, the actual dress looks v different leh. So I'm very skeptical.. Don't dare to buy from tb

I guess it depends on luck. My cousin got her bridesmaid dresses and it looks the same and good quality.

I got one last week wanted to see if it will be good for my bridesmaids but the quality is bad, and colour is different. Probably will not try again else I will end up with a lot of random dresses at hm. For me, local blog shops are better choices for bridesmaid dresses even though it's gonna be abit more exp, but more worth it instead of buying random ones on taobao.

Thank u. I guess so too..in the end i give him what he needs as i tink he knows best..but timing we just give an estimation right?

U know why? I called and check with a few friends and was advised to give estimated timing as some may not have the information. I called another fengshui waynet and they told me they only need the range of the timing n they can calculate..did check with a few and they said estimation will do for most

He will have suitable dates.. unless he tells you that the year is not suitable for you / your fiancé.. He will also rank them by 1, 2, 3 as options for you to choose.. which of course dates ranked 1 would be the best dates.

It depends how urgent you need the dates.. you can tell him the time period you in tend to get married.. For me.. I gave him 1 year period and he gave me 8 dates to choose from. I think i met him within 2 weeks. Normally the meeting placr is at starbucks.

He will also tell you what are the things you need to do and send you a soft copy. You don't need to decide the wedding date on the spot.. you can discuss and get back to him and he will also give you the GDL and AC dates. All you need to do is quote him some invoice number and he will give you the dates (I haven't reached that stage yet.)

depends on the items you shortlisted.. i think about half of those i've viewed, the review "real life" pics look pretty similar to the pics :) maybe cos i only spend time viewing those which i believe are reasonable ones.

try those with good ratings, higher sales figure (for gowns generally the sales number is lower than normal dress, 100-300+ i consider quite good sales figure le), reasonable pricing (for gowns, my gauge is RMB250 and above). hths!
 
My cousin bought from taobao too. She made her own measurements and ask the seller if can made to order. She bought 2 gowns, one around S$100 and the other S$200. She told there was difference between the 2 gowns. Although material not as gd but from far or pics the photos still look gd. So can consider gowns around S$150 and above (whatever budget you can come out with) to play safe.

Also, it takes around 1 month for him to meet me. He mentioned that is the earliest slot. M checking if he has weekend slots.

If you need it very urgently, he can give you the dates over email I think? Then can arrange the meet up for payment and explanation at a later time?

Yah.. I met him on weekdays at 6.30pm. Ruses like crazy. Normally his weekends are for like houses? Not sure though.
