I have encountered similar situation with another hotel that I went.. The coordinator is not arrogant but she does not appear enthusiastic or proactive when introducing their package somehow.. It's more of we ask her questions during the meet up rather than finding out our preferences.. She just went thru the wedding banquet package with us like reading from the slides.. When we request for some flexibility on some of the arrangements, she will say that it is not possible.. Seems like can't negotiate at all.. End up we chose another hotel and they are really proactive and give us flexibility in some of our requests..

Ladyj, which hotel did you end up with for ur banquet?

Holiday Inn Orchard City Centre Saw many many good comments so i decided to give it a try (was a bit put off because there are good reviews on CP too but it turned out like s*it)....at least now i'm convinced that the comments for HIOCC are factual ..haahah

I consulted with the bridal shop and this is what they recommended:
Wedding: Nov.
1st trial of gown for photoshoot: Mar
Photoshoot: May / June
Next trial of gown for AD: Sep/Oct (cos they every month have new design)

so i guess 5 months before that is good?

If you haven't signed up for any bridal package, you should start looking out now. They will advise you accordingly when to go for the first appt, photoshoot, etc.

yeah, i meant crowne plaza. I gave them up eventually and sign up with other hotel instead just past Sunday. You know, i've been to so so many hotels and spoke to so many coordinators, crowne plaza's lady was one of the arrogant one i've ever met. It's an irony how forums were praising her...but she dont seems to really care about us though. I thought i was weird hence i asked my man - he also thought she could be a bit friendlier. Anyway, CP was one of my top choice but becos she was slow and service wasnt that good, we gave it up. It was quite a shame...cos we really like CP.

Ladyj, I totally get how you feel!! Because I was so fed up trying to arrange for just a date to view the ballroom!! I ended up complaining and was finally given a date for viewing. Z. I really love their ballroom so I just suck it up. I hope I won't regret.

Haha...oh well. I've seen their ballroom and realized it was quite small. They have two different settings you can choose from depending on your no.of tables. Either max 26 or 28. Max 28: your match-in is very short, probably just 5 steps and you will reach the stage already. The other setting: your match in can be L-shape. Their ceiling is high, but after i viewed them twice + my encounter with the coordinator, i decided to give up everything as a whole. My fren's bro had his wedding at CP in late nov this year and they knowing that i wanted to choose CP, they gave me their feedbacks: service bad, kitchen slow, got 4 managers walking around doing nothing. :/

Wedding is a straining process but you can make it enjoyable too. I make sure i get the best service from every sector (bridal, banquet.etc) as much as possible cos i dont wanna vex over their attitude and the possible bad service i might receive. But so far, my experience has been very very good because i took time to do lots of research. Is your wedding dates near? Else, have time to slowly look & decide. 2015 first to second quarter, thats when most hotel will hold wedding fair.

I'm with Mojoideas... i saw their sample videos and photography and i really like it because they are really funny and their style of taking VD or PG is more towards comical and lifestyle. That's good IMO becos they kinda..helped you relax during your big day? haha. Ladies can try them out. I have paid deposit to confirm their service, and i cannot wait to see what's in for me!
