Oh wow, can feel the happiness of Oct BTB expecting to receive surprises while preparaing actual day! Yap lots of details to take care too. Not sure if any1 of them going for marriage preparation course. I hav signed up with my church. Its going to b 8-weeks course. After this, i should be in Taiwan for my photoshoot in May.

I was looking for something that their work is acceptable (based on their fb or website i eiol be able to view) and also reasonable price.. But i dunno whats the market rate out there and so far all i emailed the price all quite pricey..

I took mine separately, both freelancers. The independent ppl don't have an office of backend staff to feed or marketing costs to cover and will tend to be cheaper. Bigger stables that are considerably cheap are iSnap and Pentagraphy, but they are not my style. You can take a look though. They seem to have good reviews on the forum.
You can also check out WPJA to get a feel of how widely the rates can vary even though they are all accredited photographers. I actually sieved out the cheaper ones from there and found my ideal photographer. Of course, what the accreditation does not guarantee is good attitude and professionalism, so still need to meet up and well, trust your guts and take the leap of faith.

I think the only way to know your style is really to view more portfolios ^^;
If you actually liked Qing Dynasty, u can check out Yikeshu. Their packages for PG+VG are like sub 2k and when I met with them they said that they work with Qing Dynasty for videography (you may wanna check again).

Sorry I just checked the rate card they sent me. The videography studio is under a diff name but I think they said it's the same ppl as Qing Dynasty so better don't quote me haha. Anyway, they quoted $800 each for PG/VG. iSnap and Pentagraphy are one-stop shops too, PG/VG in the 2k range.
If you like journalistic style tho, you should check out H&V who I signed with for PG.

Another way is to go to Bows, they have pg/vg packages... they shld be having another show in April
I kinda stumble upon this, maybe you want to look through the list...
at first I am unsure of wat i like too... so i just browse around... somehow u will find sth u like ....

Tell me about it.. Its like cannot say wrong stuff... even to the parents. I think they also feel stressed coz I am the only daughter. Their list came up to 20 tables. *sweat*
For myself:
- Decide on a colour theme sigh. Can't make up my mind.
- Churn out a simple save-the-date to send to overseas friends within next month so they can make travel arrangements.
- Recce for photoshoot spots and shop for props.
- Shop for wedding bands.
Now I see the benefit of a wedding consultant who has a good eye for styling. =_="

I also dunno where to look for nice jie mei dresses.. My bs gave me 3 but i have 6 sisters.. I might as well go outside find better..
Most ppl buy from taobao/qoo10, as evident in all the SDE videos, which makes most of the bridesmaid dresses look similar except for colour.
I wanna settle my colour theme soon so that I can decide what colour dress to get for the JMs.

I think im like splurging on quite a bit of things... I'm looking at aww snap, hello forever and one eye click live... i think one eye click live is good however they only provide photo strips, not 4R photos...
leaning more towards to hello forever...
