hi girls, my wedding is on 2 Nov. I'm not planning to sign any BS packages as I prefer to go ala-carte and am not having any pre-wedding photoshoot. Have settled my makeup artist, photographer, JP, venue. My htb has also found a tailor to make his outfit.
Just need an advice, how long before should I start searching for my gown? And any idea which bridal studio allows rental of gown only without signing of packages? Thank you.

I've posted something similar in another thread. It is something that "Nov 2013 BTB" would like to consider too:
Instead of adding to FB, you can try using the "Start a conversation" function. This is a feature of this forum where you can start a private chat in this forum and you can invite the Nov 2014 BTB into the private chatroom. Start a "Nov 2014 BTB Private chatroom" conversation by clicking on a BTB's username, a new window will pop-up, then click on the "Start a converstation". And that's it.
The new chatroom will be visible to invited BTB only. Once the chatroom is setup, just invite the others to join the private conversation.

I'm trying to find a good and reasonably priced wedding dress tailor .. Most of the MTM stores that I've visited quoted me 2000++ for a full lace wedding gown, which I find is out of my budget for a one-wear gown!!
Do let me know if you know any good and reasonably priced ones..
Oh and if any of you looking for AD wedding photographer, let me know! I know a pretty good one, reasonably priced too and he's a really nice guy too!

Bibilow : We too consulted geomacer on dates but he had given us all friday to sunday dates, which cost alot more than weekday for banquets Our photoshoot is on May. We have signed package from fables(JB) which have to travel thru n forth=x What about you? Where are u holding your banquet at? Hmm, some solemnizer will entertain if they are not that popular la. haha. They will still ask you to call back 3 months b4 to check with their schedule. We had already registered our marriage 2 years ago and i booked Dr Phua 3 months before the date too. Depending on the solemnizer, you can try your luck to call first

Are you sourcing for your hairdo for your shoot or just let the hairstylist do it for you? I most prob just get my MUA to do it though my friends says otherwise. Pondering~

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure things will fall into place, get your hubby to help you. That's what I did, we each have our delegated to-dos so that it doesn't take the toll to much on either.

Bibilow : My hubby kinda lazy and dunno what to do so i must initiate the plan. hahaha. Hmm i will probably source for some hairdo style as im afraid that the MUA will do the standard kind of hairdo. For that i can ask my hubby to help cus he's a hairstylist hahahah! I think i will need to gauge from the selected gown designs then start to look out for suitable hairdos

Khanompang: Guess it's too late for us to settle on a theme right now. The places we chose don't really hold much special memories except for Gardens by the Bay. I saw on FB that there's a tulipmania fair right now at Flower Dome so might just pop in to have my shoot.I love tulips!!

I'm also at a loss of what hairstyles to have, my hair is the not-long-not-short length because it just grew it out last year and my trial is next week. I dread styles that make me look old.

sinfrance: I haven't got added to the fb group but just FYI, my cousin signed with White Link, I think they're happy with what they have. Have you actually seen their gowns and saw any you liked before you paid the deposit? I think if you do have something you like, it should be fine. I think BS is all about luck - find the right coordinator.

Sinfrance : my friend took white link package at Ubi and spent 10k there. Because she upgraded her gown to designer gowns, and took photoshoot at both krabi & local and also a huge bedframe photo at 3k. Don't be surpise when you request for alot there. cus will have every add-ons cost , just a piece of advice
