j0yle: now that u mention, I think I've some impression of e place.. I think Siy's idea of borders's bistro's quite good too cos there's magazines to browse through! I guess we can confirm at e end of next week when e no. of pple's more or less confirmed?

Ladies, I showed my bestie my gown before returning them yst n to my horror, I found two 30cm long tear on 2 layers of my tulle which I didn't discover e previous time!!!! I was so guilty when i returned my gown yst.. told my designer abt e tears on my gown and asked him to take a look at my gown but to my surprise, he said he doesn't need to see it, he just said he'll mend my gown n it's normal tat gowns'll be torn when I bring it for outdoor shoots! I'm very happy that I don't need to pay for any damages...*phew!* If not I can't imagine e damages I've to pay.. Cheeros to sil!
 


pinkglove: i post the question to u on another thread if your gown suffered any tear from the PS before looking at this thread. keke.. Kenji is so nice to mend it for u at no cost. was your gown stain with any mud or sand?
 
i don't tink there's mud/sand since i didn't go to any beach for my PS.. but e innermost layer's black and i reckon it should be dirt? haha..but i did go by e rivers with stones n mosses i tink.. now tat u ask me, im not sure if those stains can be totally washed off also.. haha.. but kenji says nvm, still have a year to go.. lotsa time to mend my gown..haha

Hi Jaslyn... Ive been to Grand Park City Hall once for wedding dinner. I remember that the place was quite beautiful and the food was not bad... hope this helps.

Jaslyn: I've recced GPCH before deciding my wedding venue.. The ballroom is very nice with its own reception area.. Just that I felt that the place will be quite squeezy for the number of tables I wantedl.

oh yah... tea cosy thou looks bit filled up with furniture... is a 45 seater cafe! so I think there's space for us..
 
juz my thoughts i been there @ Tea Cosy but its seems a bit squeezy cos cushion seats are not alot so some be on cushion while others on chairs...so if really there...i wanna a cushion seat reserved for me :p
 
Siy / clint: when u guys were seated in borders cafe that time, were u able to flip through the magazines over there freely? If yes, that's a good alternative too cos got ready resources available.. and if it's not a busy places means even without reservations, we should still be able to get a table?

Siy: bring along for discussions? so cute.. haha.. like going for project meeting lidat..I've a few bridal magazines which i can bring if that's wat u meant? haha..
 
pinkglove: the magazines are outside.. can't bring into the cafe.. so me & Siy just stood at the magazine racks & flipped thru the magazines.. haha

I don't know what to bring along leh.. :x
 
hi all, any confirmation on how many ppl going? i dun mind to make booking, but already lost count on who will come... i checked FB, only have 6 confirmed....

From what i know about GDL, based on bride's dialect and her parents requests:

normally will be bride price - the bride $$ that has to be agreed on before hand, canned pork trotters, xi bings (type depending on ur dialect), oranges and dragon-phoenix candles, either hard liquor or wine and some dried food stuff that mean good luck, happiness and many kids
 
forgot to add, part of the bride price n some xi bing will be returned to groom side to "show" that the bride's parents are not selling her off... # of boxes of xi bing will be dependent on how many relatives u need to give to...

if bride is teo chew, also the si dian jing will be given at GDL....
 
o ya, if ur family is pan tang, you need to get a special date for this as well.....from what i checked, the date taken from tong shu around 4-5 mths before AD

other things that u can add on... your wedding bed set, the lanterns that u will turn on and put at ur bed site on ur AD, your tea set......

Hi jacqurine.. I had the same thoughts as you. I saw a pair of heels that I like alot and wanted to buy but I stopped myself coz my wedding is still so far away.
 
Phylline & doragal: It's on our FB top right hand corner, under the blue tab : Events ,alongside with other tabs like wall, Info, Discussions etc. There u are see e details ;) anyway, so far it's 7pm @ Teacosy @ Plaza Sing at e moment.. I think there were a few other suggestions like Orchard central & Borders bistro. ;)

sapphire: e impractical me bought 2 pairs of shoes for my PS and they are SUPER dirty now...initially only bought 1 pair den a few days b4 my PS, i saw another pair i super love so just bought it! I haven clean them yet..dunno if e stains can be cleaned off or not.. n ya, by right shoes shouldn't be bought too early cos some materials might just peel off..
 
pinkglove, I cannot find my shoes... nothing I've seen was my liking until yesterday... T_T but that was the last pair at Tangs Vivocity... hopefully other branches have a new pair of my size...
 
Cow: did u leave ur contacts w tangs? I often buy shoes from tangs n they'll call me back usually when shoes in my size arrives,quite prompt. ;) u still have 3more months to buy ur shoes?
