(2011/01) Jan 2011 BTB


Jeanie - the feeling is amazing! My bf was also mesmerised when I came out in those first few evening gowns I tested (after that he got immune, I tried for about 2 hours before selecting 5 gowns).
During the gowns selection, my BS coordinator helped me in and out of the gowns, and during my photoshoot, I have my MUA with me to help. In fact, my MUA also helped me to put on my nubra. hehe

same wor pinkcoral.... she also helped me put on nubra... and she's so pro in it!! i tink most BS coordinators are so good at it! hahahaha i always have difficulty putting on nubra on myself.. lol not easy!

Lissy soon will be ur turn! actually i dun have intention to try out the gown 1... not mentally prepared. the BS coordinators keep saying wanna see me in gown, so they chose a gown and ask me to put on lol!

clint: hahahha! WOW! its also a friend's parents' wedding anniversary... hah! but its giving me headache coz its a Tuesday, i duno if i have church solemnization before that, will it be too rush.. x.x

I already got my PG VG, BS.. MUA comes w the BS. But I need to find for my mom and sisters MUA. Im gonna sk my BS for their price and then see if I canget cheaper elsewhere.. any rec anyone?
Im now hunting for house.. but it's like such bad timing... now everything so expensive..=Z tired...=(
My gown choosing prob in June 1st week then shoot in Jul. They suggested I do later but me need my photos for my invitation cards...=Z anyone have any idea on how long the process takes? and im doing it locally.. cant afford overseas..=Z any suggestions where I can go?? snap our photos? =z
 
Evon: initially my parents asked me to get married on my birthday next year.. Since the date is a series of 1.. But due to the constrain of a weekday.. Decided not to lor..

now that sandra has mentioned, im wondering if there is a need to get a 2nd MUA for mum & sis? i'm having a lunch banquet, would there be sufficient time for the MUA to makeup for all 3 person?

Lissy, I checked w my BS Package - they can provide MUA for sisters and mom but at a cost of abt $70/pax I think..hmm think a bit steep.ANyone has recommendations? I remember seeing somewhere ppl sharing MUA no. can repeat it here if anyone knows good ones? I am quite particular abt make up type and style.. no gaudy ching chong colours pls..neutral natural classy..=P

Oh yeah is it compulsory tohave our wedding bands on for the shoot? Feel that the ring symbolizes the union on THE wedding day and not used prior... haha.. just my weird thinking on this.. my Faince thinks so too so he suggested just wear my engagement ring.. he dun need to wear...hmmm.. sounds right but yet not quite.. cuz ur wedding pic needs to show that union too of the rings.. hmm... duno what to do.. any advice anyone? doing it w/o your bands??
 
Hi sandra.. I too have that kind of thinking! That we shouldn't wear our wedding bands until our wedding day itself. But last month, in the week before my PS, we went ring shopping and found something both of us really liked!

Whilst deciding whether to buy the rings or not, I started to have 2nd thoughts about not wearing the wedding bands in our photos. I discussed about it with FH.. that the photo albums will be with us for life, and it's also for display for the wedding day so it would be more apt to have the rings in the photos. And he agreed!

Anyway, we decided to go ahead with the purchase and the shop loaned us wedding bands in the exact same design as the one we ordered for our photoshoot.. and we're both really glad with the result. We will be getting our actual customised bands in 2-3mths time and that pair will not be worn until our AD.

I also thinking should we get wedding band for PS.. our PS is at end of june.. so now still havent settle our Wedding band yet.

which venue n bridal studio are you with? i guess you should start working on the stuffs you would not want to compromise with...in case its booked on the day. like your PG, VG, prefered MUA if any?
 
Hi Elina. I'm also getting married on 01 Jan 2011.
And we have done my PS and booked our church+pastor, hotel, BS, PG, VG, MUA, florist, bought wedding bands.

Still need to check on bridal car and look for a house. Not sure if I missed out anything but hope you can have a rough idea from it. ^^

Seems like everyone is getting very excited and having their photo shoots...but I still seem pretty free and relaxed...oh no! Any preparations that need to be done right now huh?

For those whose wedding in on 01 Jan'2011, when did u all take your photoshoot? By latest when must be taken? And when to select the gown? I need some guideline.
 
hi princess, ur BS should be able to advise you on these questions.

but i think latest u can take is in sept or oct. so at least there is 3 months time to edit photos, do album layout, wait for ur approval to print etc etc.

if any mistakes, u still have time to change.

I have chosen ala carte hence can i check with u gals, does ur BS provides flowers during the PS?
 
princess, rachel is right. i guess you should have your PS latest by Sept or Oct. As for your gown, it depends whether you're taking OTR or MTM.. some designers might need up to 6 months to build a gown. u should work backwards from your PS date, give at least 4 months to play safe.

welcome giantress. may i know which BS are you with? yup, BS usually provides flowers unless its an overseas shoot and you can remove that from your 'package'.
