evergreen, for the AD column, u wanna take away the month and year, meaning just put the day then it will be less cramped (e.g. 16 instead of 16 Jan 10) ... since we are all Jan 2010 btbs mah ... keke

hahahaha....my fren held his there in Dec 2007, food was cold (not cold dish hor, those dishes which were meant to be WARM), never change our plates also. 5-star hotel but third world country food, go figure evergreen...hahahahhahaa...

Dun forget, hotel not that good/highclass still nvm, but food must be presentable at least to ur guests. If food SUCKS, u can be sure that they will remember ur wedding for life (for all the wrong reasons)

evergreen> St Mary's been there all along but it used to be a cosier church. Was re-constructed in 2003...now it's...different. Haha...not that I don't find it nice but the feel's not there anymore. :s

Hmm...I'm quite keen on Crowne Plaza's lunch banquet. Crowne's gonna be at BOWs so checking them out then!

sobe: yup, u can go check it out.. but then.. i did heard bad feedback on this venue before on their management.. think cos it's relatively new, a lot of ppl from different dept couldnt work together.. so some wedding didnt turn out well.. u may wanna go to the banquet thread to take a look...

eeks! that bad? I'm in crowne's thread but it seems only BTB are in there. even so, seems like there are different banquet managers who offer different stuff :s

sobe, just a feedback on crowne's (the changi airport T3 one right?). i went for my friend's wedding last dec. it's horrible.

1. the wedding coordinator (i presume, since he's in his suit n with walkie talkie) looked so cao bin the whole time, i thought he was my friend's bodyguard or smtg.

2.my fren seemed unsure of what's going on. he looked so confused, so does his wife. can you imagine standing on the stage and looking lost? and then having the staff gestured wildy (i.e. in very big actions) and impatiently at you.
i don't believe my friend will be so forgetful as to forget the sequence assuming there was a rehearsal. even if my guy friend is that forgetful, i don't think any bride would be esp when it concerns their big day

3. the staff was seriously unprofessional. one of the waitress was in a top that's 3x too big. And she was wearing jeans. the only one when others were wearing the full uniform. did i also mention her hair was also haphazardly tied up? (think ponytail messily twisted in a bun, what we girls do when we are at home) it's unsightly and unhygienic.

The staff fill water at the weirdest time. all the banquets i've been to, the staff were at least tactful to stand by the wall so they don't obstruct the guests in watching the march-in/ stage speech etc. Crowne's staff does the opposite. they seemed to like filling up tea/ drinks during "performance" (e.g. march-in) even though our glasses were more than half full. And they were so slow in their service, so they obstruct your view for a long time.

A few of the staff spilt drinks and SOUP on guests. thankfully the soup wasn't hot, which brings me to my next point.

4. The food was served cold. from my point of view, none of the dishes were "cleared". there was leftover, not like bits and pieces, but like at least 30% left over. the soup was especially unforgettable: thick, bland and cold, which makes the thickness all the more gross. (the soup was some shark bone soup with fish maw). the fish maw was crunchy

Guess how much is the cost per table? about 1k

went to BOWs today -- gosh! how does one choose a BS from a fair?! Packages seem attractive...call me a skeptic but some packages seem too good a deal while the ones I'm interested, the co-ordinator didn't leave a good impression :s

Finally shortlist BS to recee - The Aisle, Signoria, Di Gio and perhaps Julia...

hi sobe, if you are interested in julia, i can recommend you and you will get 2 extra photos on top of your package. i think most important thing in choosing a bridal package is to know what you want to comprise in your package. yes, i agree.. the package are more or less the same..

so main thing is the coordinator, gowns, and the photo shoot..

I was really turn off by whitelink's photo shoot.. the angle and all just doesnt appeal to me at all.. And the sales person was really pushy.. which i don like also..
