went to those restaurant.. dun reali like the feeling of it.. but the offer is gd!

so hard to chose..
Ya .. think of it River View transportation got prob..oni for ppl who drive are ok.. mmmm..

i be viewing the other 2 hotel this wkends..
Or is thr ani other hotels tat is not more dan $800per table to intro?

juski - perhaps try to widen the various options u can find...it's not just hotels n restaurants ard....can also get country club or clubs or even rent a place like SAM or sth n then u hire caterer for food etc....if so, i tik u might have many more options considering the timeframe now towards Sept 2009...

also, u can start to tik abt ur AD PG/VG (if u want both or just either one)...

in addition, if u have gotten ur BS in JB, if they dun include MUA n flowers etc, better sourcing on those as well...

hpc - Am happy to share that my HTB is the hands-on and involved kind of partner. It's very much his personality la.

He finds it exciting to prepare for our wedding so he is always enthusiastic to meet wth the different vendors. How about your gown, hpc? All confirmed?;-)

I think increasingly, we see the men around us evolving. Most of my friends' hubbies are very involved and hands-on fathers too. I guess it is no longer accepted for men to just sit back and watch TV..

Am meeting the florists this weekend. Do you girls have colour themes? Am still undecided on mine. In fact, i was wondering if it is necessary to have a colour theme? Our dinner is at Beaufort so i was thinking the theme is the natural greenery. Why complicate it, right?

fangfair, such a coincidence!! i'm having my gate-crash, church holy matrimony, ROM, tea ceremony etc. on 5 Dec 09 which is a saturday. then the wedding banquet the next day. no choice 'cos my church doesn't hold weddings on sundays...

Then i top up with another plain red color bedsheet and 2 bolster covers..i cannot remember the exact price coz they are on 40% discount...but all in was about $120...

our parents met up a month after i proposed...just a simple lunch together sort of thing to let each other be comfy...but it's really up to u n ur parents...

juski22...think next to think would be AD PG/VG but pls settle your venue 1st as that might limit wat u can do as the location may not suit ur theme in mind...i think your theme more suitable for dinner rather than day...if ur ROM is on same day then u can always use the same theme...might be troublesome if different days and u need to top up $ for the rOm gown. dun think normal package will include such gowns...but then again it depends on your package.

u might need to rent car if ur BS dun include that...since ur from JB u have to check what u might need and plan for it early...

try gown next month maybe too early...couple more months the style might change or u might see something else u like...

less than $800 per table would be those places where it's hard to reach...like river view or those across the road from it...

Hi juski22, my AD is also on 27 Sept. Its quite a hot date too. When i first started sourcing for hotels in early august, a lot of the hotels are already taken up for this date. So i think you better be fast in deciding your location. I would also be having my ROM on the same day, just before my dinner banquet. You be holding your rom on the same day? If so, then maybe the parents can meetup during the food tasting. If not, i think its better for the parents to meet up before then, if not very odd right, to only meet for the 1st time on your marriage day.

Happybride: yeah my fiance's dad also has good reviews about the vegetarian banquet there after attending some fellow devotees' weddings at GH. So since he likes the place and fiance and I are quite comfortable with the place too, we chose there. Price wise i agree.. it's ex. so saving very very hard now. I heard good reviews about the vege banquet at FRF too. Price-wise is attractive too. In fact we went there on our own to look around the premise. Only problem is that we found it slightly out of the way.. But the function rooms, we caught a glimpse of it, is quite classy.

How are your timing for the day be like?? is your HTB going to pick you up?? Are you going to have the tea ceremony?? are you going to have a hotel banquet, if yes, what time do you check into the hotel?? I can't seem to figure out all the timings. hihi happybride... tats expensive... i do know there are some make up schools at delfi orchard - 5th sty i think... they can recommend u a MUA... i hvnt tried.. but when i was doing a "trial" (lend my hands to the students to do their practical) i heard pple asking for MUA.. u may want to try
