saggie - ya lor... feel tired even just by thinking... hehe... was so excited at first but energy draining as each day goes by although still looking forward to that day.

GDL probably nothing much for me ba, his parents don't want anything from us, my parents don't really require anything and just say keep it simple, and my god-parents still don't know yet but don't think very complicated. For An Chuan, we just bought a new bed last yr and don't want to change again lei... hehe... so probably will skip that ba. Don't know what's the meaning behind that too...

And hor, if we change new bed, then where are we going to sleep? The first night will be sleeping in hotel anyway. :p All our 'groom's and bride's house' are in hotel... so probably i'll book a suite or something in Swissotel and the groom's place will be at Raffles Hotel.

Same goes for tea ceremony... we'll book function room with buffet lor.

Hehe... ours are abit out of the norm lar... but it's the process and thoughts that counts. :p

I tink I am going to do away with the An Chuan etc etc.. everything as simple as possible!

(i m a alacarte bride by the way)

I already took 2 photoshoots.. (in causual wear and one is underwater).. and haven done much yet, still haven feel the panic. ahhahaa

that is Ok i tink...probably mi more modern ba...hahaha... for my side, the tea ceremony will be at the hotel function room..coz mama's flat is a bit smallish...and also mama's relatives are not many...(dad's relatives are nt coming as they are from KL/Johor/Ipoh)... :D

doll - we were thinking of alacarte too (ie. independent MU, BS just for gowns, PG, VG, etc) but is it too difficult to coordinate and cost a lot more? I'm just worried that I've to coordinate the various 'vendors' on the day itself and something might miss out.

saggie - my HTB still after he pick me from Swissotel then we can cross the road the Raffles Hotel... (-_-)||| Once reach hotel, still can take nap before tea ceremony... LOL. We have some relatives in Malaysia too, still not sure if they are coming out. Otherwise, we'll need to find a weekend and go up...

Doll - oh ya, you better check with his parents... sometime the bride and groom ok but hor, the parents want it. Last time for my cousin wedding, her PIL mentioned that they let the groom and bride decide but when they sort of decided, the PIL have some input, etc, etc. But of cos all solved and they are happily married with 2 kids. Just that, better check with them to avoid any chance of conflict.

they turn out pretty nicely. price abit costly but i think its alright.
i made 3 dresses with her already.
got to collect my other bridesmaids' measurements before going back. oh ya, i realised that their measurements are different from ours!

15may, ya their measurement is different.so abit of problem there.dats y initially keep getting dresses back dat dun fit them. In e end, we realised then i gave her a spore measuring tape. haha.

how much she charged u per dress?did u bargain?i juz called her. It's e chiffon lining for one of the dresses. but nvm lar. stil can wear.

saggie - actually fairmont nearer so i think most probably will go with fairmont and not swissotel. slightly cheaper too cos apart from mine, we need a lot more rooms for guests and helpers. Hmm... seriously, can walk across the road huh? If you all see someone doing it, will you all think it's super weird? Or when you're driving by and stopping at the traffic light, and a bride and groom with xiong di and jie meis crossing... funny or not huh?

btw, do you know if the deal at those bridal exhibition will be much better than the usual days? Or it doesn't really matters, they will also offer the same 'good' terms even if it's not sign up at the exhibition? Wondering if we have to make a decision on the spot this weekend or can go home and think about it and drop by their shops again...

actually, no. my friend had a wedding cake and it was made of profiterole. he only served some of the guests (his closer friends and relatives) and not everyone.

Ainsley, there's this colonial house in Sentosa with a garden outside. Can'r remember the exact name. If you have a small number of guests, you can consider that. Not sure if Sentosa has horse carriage rental. I know the zoo has it.

As for chalet at Aloha, it's a cosy place to hold your wedding. Esp for small numbers. My cousin had hers at Aloha too. Just invited family and close friends.

The style of your wedding pics look familiar. Which BS did you sign up with?

saggie - we have not visited any bridal show but there's one coming up this weekend at suntec so thought of going over to see 'all at a glance'. Was wondering if it would be worthwhile to sign up on the spot or turn up in their shop.

yesterday evening went to marina sq, saw 3 at level 3 but just look through the photos only..

Tell you one funny thing, you know some bridal have those 'roadshow' at some shopping mall foyer, they are quite aggressive and whenever they saw couples, they'll hound you. Usual reaction is replying them that we are married... there's once both my bf and me quite bo liao... after saying 'we're already married', we came up with some excuses on what to use the next time... then i told him, tell them we are slibings when we are holding hands to 'see' their reaction. Then he said that's not 'shocking' enough, should say "i'm married but she's not" or "she's my mistress". LOL...

i think its all up to the couple.

i know some couples serve sheet cakes as its just a token. &amp; some just want a small cake for the cake cutting ceremony &amp; then have cupcakes for the guests. &amp; then there's combination of dummy &amp; real cake to make everything look bigger.

its all up to the couple how they want to do it

saggie - haha... the two of us bo liao one lar... ya lor, they're super scary man. mayne they're trying to snatch you from their competitor. Some of them sign up with more than 1 BS or even to cancel the earlier one. Many cases like this so to them, no harm trying.

freegoer - haha... he suggested walking across the road but i said super funny, he should at least drive 1 round to come and pick me, vice versa when going back to 'his place'. The 'whole gang' crossing the road several times, i think it's funny also lei... but just renting the car to 'cross' the road also quite wasteful lei, i think the bridal car easily 800 bucks right? That time he rented one for his buddy.

Btw, anyone heard of Chrysler PT Cruiser? If we need a car, we hope to use that but seems like dinosaur, no one renting that...

saggie - but that PT Cruiser is not those luxury series one lar... it's a little bit like beetle car. My bf likes 'grand master' and that's like the mini 'cheong' version of grand master... haha...

Back on the bridal car rental, is it just 400+? The one he rented previously was about 800 with no driver and no petrol lei.
