sad to say, i read the STOMP, i must agree with most of what the people commentted in there.
The couple only had that Wedding day once in their lifetime.... but they still had so many sundays to sleep lor. its the driver's fault, why must ruin the couple's day? feel sad for the couple

on sat drove to park hotel at orchard (the one with the 24hr swensens) and noticed that guests will have a problem getting parking lot since shoppers will park there as well. lucky so far dun see anyone holding their banquets at the hotels along orchard road that might be affected...

went to see siloso beach resort yesterday...nice place to do solemnization...not cheap though...uber great view sia...hahaha...

Jol Aoiumi, TWD offers me short dress for ROM. My preference is for a short dress too; since it's during the day and not too formal. By the way, your outdoor wedding is gorgeous! *Thumbs up*

Hi Catz, we are planning to fly to Adelaide then drive to Kangaroo island for 2 nights, then drive to Melbourne and do a few stops along the way and stay in nice little cottages. Can visit friends in melbourne too. All in all, we will be spending around 10-12 days. How about the rest?

Guess my progress is the slowest among all leh.. Take a look at what I have done so far..

1) Bridal Studio
- PS will be done on 5th Jan 09.
- PS costumes and gowns not selected yet. My MTM EG was just ready these few days. Will be gg down on 24 Dec to finalised all these.

2) ROM
- Have contacted JP but not yet done the efiling as have not confirmed the venue yet.

3) Wedding Invitation Cards
- Hotel will be providing but have not selected yet.

4) Guest List
- Have draft list ready. Have not yet formally informed my friends &amp; colleagues and confirmed their attendance.

5) Food Tasting
- Will be done on 8 Jan.

6) AD PG/VG
- Still in the midst of meeting up some PG/VG. Hope to confirm by end of this year.

7) Song List
- Have not gone into this yet. Probably will leave it to my HTB to decide.

8) Childhood Photo Montage
- Not yet. Thinking of doing something different.

9) Program List &amp; Emcee Script for Actual Day
- Have not confirmed the emcee yet
- Think the script will be provided by the hotel

10) GDL
- Most prob 1-2 weeks before AD. Not yet confirmed. No idea what needs to be bought yet.

i even got a Xiongdi last min Disappear... no news liao... if he is able to tell me can come or cannot come, still not so bad, but disappear???? cannot find him at all

I stayed in siloso beach resort before.. the service is not up the standard. Went there when they were having opening promotion. Their 'hot' water is COLD. But must say, the view is great. Realised that there's a bar/club downstairs. Dunno if the music there will affect though.

Aroh, which hotel did u go in Bali?? how's everything there?? thinking of having a laid back relax honeymoon there.

Emerald Villas...abt 30 min from airport/Kuta area...nice and quiet...service with smile...quite near town centre so food outlets not really a worry but I don't think i will be walking around much after dark as it really gets quite dark without streetlights...ours was 5 villa sharing a pool but only 1 other villa uses the pool but at different timing from us so it's almost pte pool...

yesterday was quite alright...maybe cos just opened when u went? that's y have promotion to get past the teething period?

cafe del mar is just across and i mention that to eva as well...but then again...we booked our place already...went there to look see only...

bali quite a nice place to relax...we din go for sea sports though...both of us not really the water sports type...just went to hard rock cafe area to walk walk n shop...the beach near the villa is sanur which is not crowded at all (in fact empty)...the one at kuta is quite packed...

one of the days we booked the hotel vehicle and went all over the island...cost about S$100 for 8 hours use of the vehicle and driver/guide. pay for your own entrance fees where required.

if travelling around just take a blue bird taxi (which u can be sure will charge by meter and quite reliable) and it's usually quite cheap... trip starts from Rp5000 (which is less than S$1).

alot of things charged in USD though so do bring some along.

we noticed year end period got quiksilver, billabong, rip curl,etc. sales...broadshorts for less than S$20...

Hi Catz. We are still clueless about our honeymoon destination as that will most likely happen in 2010.;-) We will probably have a short holiday after April..right now, Cebu or Boracay or Perth comes to mind...

aroh, how much did ur whole trip cost?? Thinking of getting a villa with a private pool.

btw, has anyone went for church wedding that's with balloon decorations?? wonder if that will work instead of using fresh flowers.

my trip ar...villa is about $350 for 4 nights excluding airport transfer or b/f.

air tix by SQ is $940 for 2 pax return...not really pte pool cos i share with 4 other villas.

with balloons...feel like children birthday party :p

sharon... i bought everything for Anchuang from CHinatown... u just tell the lady, she will give U everything for Anchuang and will tell U that U need to put 2 mandarin oranges with xi Word, and 2 angbaos with $8 each....

Total Cost (exclude angbaos and oranges), The An Chuang Package only cost me $8

for me... an chuang has:

1) a handful of lian zi
2) a handful of longans (with shell)
3) 2 mandarin oranges with xi sticket
4) one Ang Pow
5) one Huat Kueh

That's all... Put all these on a red plate

Happen to drop by chinatown cause take a free ride from my colleague, so was broswing around for the wedding stuff. Wow the mickey and minnie set i posted earlier is sold at $55 in people park complex. Got a shock. People Park Market got a tea set retail @ $18.90 only, was kind of tempted to get it man. Similar to the link below but the $18.90 was a smaller set with 4 cups and the cup come with handle like the usual traditional set. Was told it was the 2nd generation. LOL... Comes in pink and white for the small set, got 1 with larger teapot thou, slightly more x.

Oh btw ladies, what are the usual rates for AD photography?? I've jus enquired one. He quote me $1800 for

- Up to 12 hours of photography

-  300 digitally enhanced photo in DVD

- Table to table, tea ceremony &amp; group photo all returned (Unedited) in DVD

- Slot in album with 300 photos provided

-  Slide show during dinner

- Two distinguished photographers will be covering the event.

how does tt sounds?? Issit too ex? Whats the market rate actually?

mine is slightly less than half your price.. but with 400pcs with album.. dont have so many things as describe in your package... i think its quite reasonable if you want slide show during dinner (video plus photos??) coz my AD photographer quote $1600 for video and photos and $1800 if express.. ie to show the day event during the dinner

geraldine> hmmm...mine is 2 sets of DVD for the video, unlimited shots for photography (day and night) and can choose 300 4R photos in slot-in album, morning express highlights (so videographer will leave at 1pm)...the rest i cannot remember...total is $1988...
